It was a man who was tall and well built.. he had a black band around his head, he was dressed in black clothes. Kailash Nanda ordered few soldiers to catch him, they ran towards him immediately.. Samyukta and the empress ran towards Pinaka.. blood was gushing out of Pinaka's wound, he was slowly losing consciousness... few soldiers immediately ran towards him and lifted him.. the vaidya (doctor) was immediately summoned.. Samyukta was trying to pacify the empress,.. she could notice that the wound was not too deep..
The vaidya immediately stopped bleeding and applied a herbal paste.. he took Pinaka's pulse, he said, 'empress there is no need to worry.. he must gain conscious by night.. just keep feeding this medicine every hour.. I will come by night and examine again.. '
Emperor Kailash Nanda and emperor Krishna Chandra Came and took an update regarding Pinaka's condition.. the empress hugged her father and started crying.. he pacified her.. he said to Samyukta, 'my dear, stay here with Pinaka.. I will make her eat something and get her back.. ' Samyukta nodded and said, 'ok Grandfather.. mother.. please go and eat something.. I will be here.. 'the empress touched Samyukta's face affectionately and nodded.. she was too weak..
Krishna Chandra said, 'Samyukta, I will be in the guest chamber.. let me know if you need something.. ' she nodded and said, 'there are attendants here to help me.. don't worry father.. please go and rest.. ' everyone left them alone..
Samyukta saw Pinaka, she was actually feeling very scared.. but she didn't show her feelings in front of everyone but showed them a brave face.. once she was alone she let her tears roll out.. she glanced at the unconscious Pinaka.. she said, 'why is it so tough for you.. your path is always filled with hurdles.. come what may.. I will be with you forever and face every danger with you.. '
She waited for one hour to complete and made Pinaka drink the medicine the vaidya gave... again she laid his head on the pillow and let him sleep.. the empress came in.. she saw how Samyukta was taking care of Pinaka.. she said, 'child... come here.. ' Samyukta went to the empress, Chandramathi said, 'my dear this is a gift for you.. I accept you as my daughter in law.. ' she said and handed over a box to Samyukta..she opened it, it was a beautiful set of gold bangles encrusted with nine valuable gem stones.. Samyukta accepted the gift and touched her feet to take her mother in law's blessings.. Chandramathi held her shoulders and hugged her.. 'this was given to me by my mother in law..it is a symbol of prosperity of the Gupta dynasty..now I pass it on to you my child..you are my daughter from today,.. '
Emperor Krishna Chandra saw this and sighed in a contended way.
Meanwhile the person who tried to kill Pinaka was caught... he was being Interrogated by Shiva and his men.. Shiva was torturing him.. to get the answers.. he was not opening his mouth.. then Shiva brought a plier and cut the little finger of the person's toe.. he roared in agony.. Shiva said, 'open your mouth and tell me who you are.. '
He said, 'I am a spy.. '
Shiva said, 'where did you come from.. what is your mission..? ' the person looked at Shiva with mockery.. his eyes were like daggers
