Chrollo looked at Ryu wearily, he didn't understand how this guy was able to sense him. The ability he used was a rare one he collected years ago, it allowed him to hide in space. The only limitation was that he couldn't attack when within this dimension, he could only observe.
Ryu turned to Chrollo and smirked " So... did you analyse how my powers work? "
Chrollo's pupils shrunk when he heard that " No. Your powers are a mystery like you are. We have no conflict, why are you attacking us? "
Ryu grinned " Heh... if I was weak then I suppose I would be a corpse by now."
Chrollo had nothing in reply, he knew they couldn't get out of this danger. His Nen gathered Infront of him and materialised into a book. He flipped through the pages and settled on one.
The space surrounding them started to change, Ryu, Gon and Killua along with Chrollo were encased glass like space. Several hideous creatures came to existence within this space. They lunged at Ryu and the others.
" Heh... calling creatures from other parts of this world.... you have quite the abilities in that book but what I am interested is that book itself."
Ryu grinned, he didn't even bother to look at these incoming creatures. Space seemed to have froze as Ryu walked to Chrollo. Seeing his attack lose effect Chrollo immediately pulled back.
The book in his hand flipped again, the glass space around them shattered. Nothing seemed to have changed but there was surprise on Ryu's face. He clenched his arms and walked again.
In that's short time Chrollo had actually forced out the air surrounding Ryu, he meant to kill Ryu by suffocating him but he doesn't understand the terrifying nature of a Cultivator. Once a Cultivator reaches Heaven realm he can survive anywhere as long as he can absorb energy.
Ryu cultivates Chaos which is present everywhere which means Ryu can survive anywhere.
Chrollo's book again flipped through several pages, Ryu suddenly felt his blood circulate in reverse order. It seemed like this ability of Chrollo allowed him to control Blood.
' Quite a powerful ability.'
Ryu smiled, his blood returned to normal. He raised his hand and made a punch above his head.
Chrollo was holding onto a knife, this knife seemed to emit a peculiar Nen but it didn't faze Ryu. His hand collided with Chrollo's knife.

Chrollo was send flying, his hand holding the knife cracked and was bleeding but he was smiling.
Ryu understood why he was smiling, he looked at his hand. It wasn't hurt but a strange Nen was trying to burrow through his skin. Ryu saw Chrollo's book and it was showing a different page. It seemed like this page contained the ability to poison someone using Nen.
Chrollo heaved a sigh when he saw this ability work. The other Aces up his sleeve were useless against this guy but this one ability was something he had never used against others. It was extremely useful in restraining his opponents.
But his heart wasn't able to settle for long. Ryu shrugged of his Nen and appeared above him. He did a roundkick to Chrollo's gut and planted him into the ground.
Ryu landed near Chrollo who was now coughing out blood. At this moment the other members also attacked, Ryu didn't care for these guys and waved his hand.
All of them froze in mid air and was send flying while spurting out blood. Ryu looked at Chrollo and said
" Show me your book."
Chrollo looked at Ryu without any emotion, he didn't fear death, but he didn't want the Phantom Troupe to end with them.
" I can show you but you must let them leave."
Ryu smirked " You are in no position to bargain."
Chrollo " I know but I would rather die if you don't accept."
Ryu sneered " Do you really believe I have no other way to obtain your book? "
Chrollo " No. I know you will have some way but before you can snatch it away I can destroy it."
Ryu smiled " Heh... a murderer such as you has a sense of comradeship? Fine I will let them go, I don't care for their lives anyway."
He threw out Pakunoda, Machi and Nobunaga. Phinks and the others picked up Machi and the rest and retreated to a distance.
Seeing them leave Chrollo materialised his book and gave it to Ryu.
Ryu took the book, he channeled his energy through the book and understood how it worked.
' Heh... not bad but these stolen powers have no future. Truly regrettable, some abilities were astounding on there own.'
Ryu tossed the book back and turned around.
" Let's go Gon, Killua."
Both of them nodded, their reverence for Ryu only seemed to have increased.
Chrollo was expecting death but he didn't expect Ryu to leave him alive. He was confused as to why but he quickly found the answer
' I see..... in his eyes I am not even worth killing.'
He smiled bitterly inside his heart, Phinks and the others came back and supported Chrollo.

Ryu was grinning when he saw Hisoka seek him out. To speak the truth, part of the reason he seeked out Phantom Troupe was to find Hisoka as well.
Hisoka licked his lips " You are strong and that's exciting."
Ryu " Same here but you are too weak. I have a deal for you, up for it? "

Seeing Hisoka's approach Ryu smiled.
' He analysed my fight with Chrollo and knew long range is useless so he went for close range.'
Hisoka controlled dozens of cards like sharp blades. His control over Nen was extremely refined, these cards could even cut through steel like butter. Hisoka was like a dancer as he strolled around these cards.
Ryu's eyes suddenly dodged, he was surprised at how Hisoka was attacking.
' He has absurd amount of Battle instincts! Truly a great addition to Titans!! Haha! '
