Upon entering the building, a smiling lady standing by the counter called out to me.

As she said that, the lady took a bangle from the counter.
[Please keep this on you while you are in the dungeon. Otherwise your grades will not be recorded.] (Lady)
As I looked at the bangle she handed over…I knew exactly what that equipment was.
This is a magic tool known as “Growth Recorder”.
It was originally a tool used to record the growth of one’s magical and physical strength when they defeat monsters…I guess the academy is providing the grades by taking the difference in recorded growth before and after entering the labyrinth.
I was wondering about their grading method before, so that’s one mystery solved.

As I said that…I had Caucasus who was shrunk to a tenth of his size using transformation magic to touch the bangle before attaching it to my arm.
Doing so would allow the tool to reflect the correct results which includes the monsters Caucasus defeats.
Tamers gain growth experience when their tamed monsters defeat other monsters, yes…but that is merely “shared experience”. It is not the same amount as when a tamer defeats a monster themselves.
If I had equipped the tool as-is, when they calculate the difference in growth, they would think that a weaker monster was defeated instead.
However, if the tamed monster touches the tool beforehand, it would register the tamed monster…and automatically revise the calculations accordingly.
With this, the proper results can finally be reflected.
As an aside, there isn’t any need for Beezebub to touch it.
Beelzebub is ultimately just Caucasus’ partner. Strictly speaking, he isn’t my tamed monster.
From the looks of it, the design of the equipment doesn’t differ from the one in my past life. So doing this much should be enough. Even if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just forfeit this time’s results and come up with a countermeasure later on.
The highest priority at the moment is to raise my divine power as quickly as possible.
With that in mind, I headed out of the building…only to be called by the lady at the counter.
