Beelzebub debuffs, and Caucasus grabs it with his horns, then spun around and thrust it straight into a wall.

Unable to move after receiving such an attack, I released magic that dealt the finishing blow…that was how the 81st floor monster, Blue Phoenix met its end.

…I wonder how many times I’ve seen this scene.

I stored the Blue Phoenix’s carcass in my storage magic while thinking so, and communicated with the other 2 via telepathy.

[It’s about time we return to the surface.] (Varius)

[I see…it cannot be helped.] (Caucasus)

[Feels like I haven’t fought enough~] (Beezebub)

Caucasus and Beelzebub both have a regrettable expression but…it’s been almost a full day since we arrived on the 81st floor.

It’s about time we return to the surface or we won’t make it in time to collect the sword.

I took the Nimbus Cloud out from the storage and made the two of them ride on it.

I got on as well and began moving towards the path we took to get here.

[Even so, it’s amazing that you two aren’t bored after fighting so much.] (Varius)[The concept of being bored of fighting definitely does not exist.] (Caucasus)

[Right yer are. It’s like saying yer bored of yer own life.] (Beelzebub)

…While having such a conversation, we returned to the 57th floor.

As expected, I’m still unable to return to the surface using teleportation alone, so we’ve gotten here using the Nimbus Cloud…but from here on out, I’ll be relying on teleportation.

That’s because I haven’t gotten a grasp on the paths leading from the 57th to 44th floor, as well as the path from the 42nd to the 28th floor.

Having decided, I verified the destination using clairvoyance, and teleported together with Caucasus and Beelzebub.

Right after that….Caucasus spoke.

[Hmm? This feeling…..Varius, have you become capable of teleporting further than one floor? ] (Caucasus)

It seems that Caucasus had sensed that we had arrived at the 55th and not the 56th floor.

[Yeah. The instantaneous output of my divine power has increased somewhat after all. Currently, I’m capable of teleporting 2 floors’ worth of distance.] (Varius)

[I see.] (Caucasus)

As long as we’re moving the same distance, increasing the teleportation distance and saving on the number of teleportation done would be more economical on my divine power.

Although my current limit is teleporting two floors in one go…even so, I was able to save quite a bit of divine power.

[Let’s return to the 28th floor in this manner. From there, we’ll move using the Nimbus Cloud again.] (Varius)

[Yeah, we shall leave it to you.] (Caucasus)

As such, we teleported all the way to the 28th floor…and when we got to the 26th floor using  the Nimbus Cloud, I decided to stop for a while.

I got off the Nimbus Cloud, and took the luna metal out from the storage magic.

I left this last piece of luna metal just for this purpose.

I poured divine power into the luna metal…and without any body strengthening magic, threw it at a lesser echidna that just appeared around the corner.

When I did that…the lesser echidna was obliterated without a trace.

[Varius, what did you do?] (Caucasus)

[Well, just a little experiment. As I thought, the experiment failed…in a good way that is.] (Varius)

I answered Caucasus’ query.

That’s right.

In other words, quantifying growth through measuring the required magic used for body strengthening is a failure.

As long as body strengthening is not needed, it can’t be quantified after all.

Of course, what this means is that it’s better for it to not be measurable.

With a refreshing feeling in my heart…I made our way to the surface as fast as possible by operating the Nimbus Cloud.

***********************************************************

The first thing I did when we returned to the surface was to return the growth recording device.

[I’ve come to report my return.] (Varius)

[Hmm? You are…If I recall, didn’t you enter the dungeon a week ago? You were safe after all!] (Receptionist)

[Well, yes.] (Varius)

…was she worried about our safety?

While thinking that it was a bit exaggerated, I returned the device worn around my arm.

[Alright. I need to record whose results this belong to, so bring out your student handbook] (Receptionist)

I brought out my student handbook from the storage magic as requested.

After that, the lady by the counter held a record book, and placed the growth recording device on top of a magic tool…though that same lady just stared at the numbers that appeared on the magic tool.

[What…is this…] (Receptionist)

[Is anything wrong?] (Varius)

[This record…you, you went beyond the 25th floor didn’t you?]

[Errr, yeah] (Varius)

Hearing my reply…the lady let out a deep sigh, and said,

[You…I’ll be honest, this record is abnormal. I’ve been doing this work for over 10 years but…none of the top students of those years can even achieve half of what’s recorded here, you know?] (Receptionist)

…Ahh, so that’s what this is.

Well, I’m a Tamer after all, I should obviously be able to do this much.

I mean…

[Isn’t it because I was in there for a week?] (Varius)

In fact, this should be the main reason.

The only one who would enter the dungeon during classes would be me after all.

I asked her while thinking so.

However.

[No. Your records…compared to the previous top students’, is more than double their results of an entire semester!] (Receptionist)

The lady asserts.

…Is that so?

Just this much…is worth an entire semester’s results?

Then, for now I’ve confirmed that [There’s no reason to continue diving into the dungeon to improve my grades].

If there’s a point of concern, it’s that I would be suspected of cheating.

Thinking so, I took out a single Blue Phoenix’s feather out from the storage magic, and placed it on the counter.

[This is the feather of a Blue Phoenix. It will act as proof of subjugation, if you need an actual proof to accompany the records, please use this.] (Varius)

I left those words and left.

[……Huh? Blue Phoenix? I thought I just heard the name of a legendary being…] (Receptionist)

…I can hear her mumbling something, best just leave it be.

With that done, I’ll be heading straight to the blacksmith’s place.

I left the building.

As I did so…I heard a familiar voice right behind me.

[You are…the one who made a fool out of me during the exam…!] (Cadie)

I turned around and…the person who I faced during the combat examination was standing right there.

Her name was…what was it again? If I recall, it sounded like a magical communication company from my previous life…[1]

[Let’s fight one more time! Accept my challenge!] (Cadie)

Even though I’m doing my best to remember her name, she just continued prattling on.

[Through the building, and round the corner. I can make it.] (Varius)

I muttered, and teleported twice.

Seems like it was going to be troublesome after all.

Once I’m away from the troublesome person’s sight, I took the Nimbus Cloud out and left the vicinity of Seiei Academy.

A few hours later, the blacksmith’s shop came into view.
