Yang Yun had long noticed Mingyue's presence, even before Xue Yi Ming. But he decided to pretend that he did not see her and concentrated with catching a few more fishes. It would not do him any good to appear too eager and scare her off.

Once he caught two more fishes, Yang Yun went out of the water and walked towards Mingyue. He watched her cleaned the fish with ease and spoke, "You're here. Where did Xue Yi Ming go to?"

Lin Mingyue paused and looked up when Yang Yun's presence next to her blocked the sunlight. For a few seconds, Mingyue could not get a clear look of his face.

Her heart skipped a beat. The scene felt a bit too familiar to her. Mingyue immediately lowered her gaze and saw two more fish in Yang Yun's hands. Both of the fish had stopped moving.

"He went away to get something to help us carry the fish," Mingyue said. She then resumed her work to clean the fish. "Why do you caught too much fish?"

Yang Yun crouched down next to Mingyue. "I saw that there are other campers. We could share some of them with others."

Lin Mingyue glanced at Yang Yun and said. "You're too kind."

"It won't do us any harm to be kind. It's just food. Besides, everyone on this hill will have to look after each other. If something happened while we're up here, we wouldn't be too embarrassed to ask for their help."

"Bonding over food. I like the way you think."

"Don't dirty your hand and clothes. Let me clean the fish." Yang Yun asked for the knife but was rejected.

"It's alright," Mingyue tightened her grip on the knife. "You should find something to help us carry these fish back to the camping site. I don't think that Brother Xue is going to return anytime soon. He has been gone for too long."

Yang Yun nodded. He knew that Xue Yi Ming wanted to help him with Mingyue. Based on that guess, Yang Yun figured that Xue Yi Ming would not return at all. Yang Yun stood up and paused when he heard Mingyue sucked some air through her teeth. He saw the way Mingyue grip her forefinger tightly.

He grabbed her finger and saw blood oozed out. "You hurt yourself. Come on."

"Where are we going."

"To the water. We need to clean up your injury."

Lin Mingyue stood up and allowed Yang Yun to drag her towards the river. She watched him shyly as he helped to clean her hands from both hers and fish blood.

"Stay here for a while. I'm going to find something for you."

Mingyue watched him as he went towards some shrubs and picked some of its leaves. Yang Yun sniffed the leaves and went back to her.

"Although your wound is not deep, it would start to sting in a few hours. This herb is good to stop the pain," Yang Yun explained. He grabbed Mingyue's hand and pressed the leaf on her finger.

Immediately, Lin Mingyue could feel the cooling sensation on her finger. "Thank you. But how did you know this?" She looked at the leaves and knew that Yang Yun had picked the right herbs.

"Someone taught me," Yang Yun smiled.

Lin Mingyue swallowed as she thought of how dazzling Yang Yun smile was. It was then that she noticed that the two of them were too close together. She pulled her hand from him and lowered her gaze. "Right. You've mentioned that before."

"Has your wound stopped bleeding?"

Lin Mingyue removed the herbs and showed Yang Yun her hands. "It has stopped bleeding. Don't worry too much. It's only a small cut."

Yang Yun grabbed her hand again to inspect the wound. "You're a surgeon. You need to look after your hands. Don't get injured."

Suddenly, the spot where Yang Yun touched felt as if it was burning. Lin Mingyue pulled her hand away and hid it behind her. She felt embarrassed when Yang Yun gazed at her hand for too long. The way he looked at her hands, it was as if he was staring at something precious.

Noticing Mingyue's discomfort, Yang Yun stood up. "I'm going to find something to carry those fish. You should guard our lunch before any wild animal snatched them away."

Mingyue nodded, "Alright."

Yang Yun took a few steps and paused. "Don't touch the fish. I will clean the other when we return."

Xue Yi Ming was helping Li Ran to start a fire when Yang Yun returned with Mingyue. "What took you two so long?" he looked at Yang Yun and gave him a teasing smile.

"Well, someone has forgotten to bring us the container to carry these fish back," Yang Yun said. He lifted a makeshift bag made of banana leaves.

Xue Yi Ming gasped. "Shit! I totally forgot about those fishes! Sorry!"

Yang Yun shook his head. He put down the bag of fishes and looked at the fire. "Well, at least you've started the fire. The fish are all cleaned. You can start grilling them for lunch."

Lin Mingyue looked around their campsite and frowned when she could not find her sister. "Brother Xue, have you seen my sister?"

"She's in the tent," Xue Yi Ming pointed towards the girls' tent. "Lin Mingyue, you go in and take a rest as well. I'll call you out when the food is ready."

"That would be inappropriate to leave you guys to cook the food while we rest."

"What inappropriate? I'm just taking this chance for Yang Yun to show off his culinary skills. You don't know this, but I live with this guy for a while, and let me tell you this: he can cook."

Lin Mingyue looked at Yang Yun and tilted her head sideways. "Really?"

"Of course!" Xue Yi Ming answered. "Don't you see me getting fatter? I'm telling you, Lin Mingyue, anyone who marries this guy would be lucky. If he's a woman, I will marry him too."

Yang Yun gave Xue Yi Ming a sharp gaze. "Scram. I have no interest in a guy."
