Lin Mingyue watched as her sister left with a frown. She was worried that her sister might be uncomfortable, but looking at her complexion earlier, Mingyue could not see anything wrong. When Lin Tian Yu disappeared into the house, Mingyue turned to Yang Yun and asked, "What's wrong with my sister?"

Yang Yun did not answer. He watched Mingyue and smiled. It was impossible for him not to know why Lin Tian Yu left. However, it still amazed him that Lin Tian Yu could guess that he liked Mingyue.

It seemed like Xue Yi Ming's words were real. The two sisters were close and had a good relationship.

Jiang Mingyue was the only girl among her siblings. That was one of the reasons Mingyue was so close to the Crown Princess.

A thought crossed Yang Yun's mind. He wondered if the way he looked at Mingyue was too transparent that others could see his emotion?

Back then, before he and Mingyue was a couple, Jiang Xiao Liang would often create trouble for him when he noticed the way Yang Yun has been looking at his sister. Like always, it was Mingyue who had not noticed anything.

He wondered how Mingyue would act once he tells her that he liked her? Back then, when he had told Mingyue his feeling, Mingyue got so shy that she started to avoid him for almost two weeks.

"What did you and my sister talk about?" Mingyue asked.

Yang Yun snapped out of his thought when he heard Mingyue's question. "It was as she said, she thanked me for saving her."

Mingyue stared at him and decided to believe his words.

"Are your hands still hurting?" Yang Yun asked. He glanced at her hands. It was no longer bandaged as it was a few days ago. However, he could still see the wound.

Mingyue looked at her hands and said, "It's alright. It doesn't hurt as much. It will get better soon."
Yang Yun was distressed as ht looked at Mingyue's hand. Her beautiful hands marked with bruises. He worried if those bruises were going to turn into scars.

"It won't leave a scar," Lin Mingyue said. "The wound isn't deep enough to leave any scars."

Yang Yun looked up with surprise on his face. Did he just say his thought out loud? He smiled and looked away.

After walking in silence for a while, Xue Yi Ming appeared. He called out Yang Yun's name from a distance and waved a hand. Yang Yun nodded at him before he turned to Mingyue.

"I guess it's time for us to go. Thank you for your hospitality." Yang Yun said.

"Wait!" Lin Mingyue grabbed at his shirt before Yang Yun turned around. Her ears turned slightly red when she realized what she had done. Mingyue did not know what had possessed her to stop him.

"What is it?"

"That," Mingyue hesitated. "Would you like to go out and grab something to bite next week? Just the two of us." She peeked to look at his expression when Yang Yun did not answer. "It will be my treat. I wanted to thank you for helping me and saving me back in the woods."

"You don't have to do anything to thank me," Yang Yun said. He saw a slight disappointment on her face and smiled. Then, he said, "But since you're treating, it would not be good for me to decline."

She let out a long breath at his answer. When Mingyue saw the smile on his face, the corner of her lips automatically turned up. "Then, I'll call you later."

Lin Mingyue returned to work after a week of recuperating. Once she returned to the hospital, her colleagues surrounded her to ask about her accident. However, their interrogation was cut short after someone called to say that Professor Gu was looking for her. Because Lin Mingyue had taken a week off, once she returned, her work piled up. Before she realized, the sun had almost set.

Mingyue was in her office, browsing through some files when Nurse Tang knocked on the door.

"Doctor Lin, a guess someone is here for you." Nurse Tang said.

"Who is it?" Mingyue frowned. She tilted her head at one side and saw Yang Yun stood behind the door. Mingyue immediately stood up and gasped in horror. "What time is it?" She checked the time and looked apologetically to Yang Yun. "Sorry, I lost track of time."

"If you're busy…"

"It's alright," Mingyue interjected. "I still have to go and eat something, right?"

Hearing Mingyue's answer, a frown appeared on Yang Yun's face. "You haven't eaten all day?"

He recalled how his wife would often skip her meals when she was busy with work. He would scold her, and she would tell that she was too focused on studying those herbs that she would forget about her meals.

Back then, whenever he was not on a mission, Yang Yun would often find her at the Imperial Infirmary and brought along some food for her.

Because he lives alone and his mother and sister stayed in another city, Yang Yun had to cook everything. This was also one of the reasons why Yang Yun was good at cooking. Whenever he was on a mission, he would ask someone to deliver snacks from Yan Zifu's place.

"Mister, you are right," Nurse Tang, who was still around, said. "Doctor Lin has been cooped up in the office once she returned from seeing her patient. I don't think she stepped into the canteen today."

"What are you saying? Of course, I've eaten something. I've always kept some food in my office," Lin Mingyue said.

"Doctor Lin, crackers and energy bars cannot be counted as a meal," Nurse Tang pursed her lips tightly when she saw Doctor Lin's warning gaze. "That, I should go around to look at the patients."

Lin Mingyue heaved with relief when Nurse Tang walked away. She instinctively peeked at Yang Yun to check at his expression. She did not know why, but when Nurse Tang tattled to Yang Yun, she had a feeling that she was going to get a scolding.

When it doesn't seem like the man was going to scold her, Lin Mingyue began to relax.

"Wait for a minute. I'll clean up my desk first," Mingyue said. She stared at her messy table and wondered how she should organize the papers. It took her a while before her desk was cleared. Lin Mingyue grabbed her bag and smiled at Yang Yun. "Let's go."
