Chapter 3 - Illusion Spirit Grass
“Ideal homeland?” Xiao Qi looked confused at Gu Qingyu, feeling some kind of strangeness to it.
Gu Qingyu quoted something from her old world : 完美家园, propaganda
Gu Qingyu scratched her head, “Heh, slip of the tongue……But that’s not important! Xiao Qi, will you help me or not?”
Xiao Qi nodded hesitantly, “……Mm, ok! Young miss, as long you’re happy, Xiao Qi will always help you!”
“Xiao Qi is the best~” Gu Qingyu hugged Xiao Qi like a spoiled child. Shortly after, she started to present and explain the plan to Xiao Qi, “First, we go like this…then like that…and so……”
Nightfall.
Gu Qingyu lightly cracked open Jia Qizhe’s door.
Jia Qizhe was leaning against the door, dressed in a blue robe, he lightly brushed past Gu Qingyu, “I’m not sure what I can help Miss Gu with tonight?”
“Hero Jia!” Gu Qingyu stared at Jia Qizhe with utmost ‘sincerity’, “Shit, your skills are really the bomb!”
“Mm, and?” Jia Qizhe looked at Gu Qingyu with a smiling expression, yet not smiling.
Gu Qingyu said with twinkling eyes, “For the sake of me assisting you last time, help me escape!”
“Escape? To where?” Jia Qizhe helplessly shook his head, “You said you assisted me? I was fine alone, you were the one that wanted to tag along in the first place? I’ve heard that the First Daughter of Gu Manor was very willful and selfish, and I can say that it’s a well-deserved reputation.”
“You!” Gu Qingyu held in the anger, and managed to squeeze out a smile, “Hero Jia~ Let’s talk about this nicely~ I’ll give you anything you want, only if you can help me out!”
“Oh? Anything?” He narrowed his eyes at her.
Gu Qingyu nodded her head wholeheartedly.
“I’ve traveled around the whole continent on my own, solely wielding my sword. There’s yet anything that I want.” He playfully raised his eyebrows, “But, recently, I still seem to lack something……”
“Oh! What is it! Tell me!” Gu Qingyu excitingly asked.
Jia Qizhe hinted to Gu Qingyu to move closer, Gu Qingyu immediately leaned in closer. Jia Qizhe quietly whispered a few words to her.
Gu Qingyu nodded her head while listening, “Oh! So, you’ll take me with you if I can help you with that thing?”
Jia Qizhe nodded.
“Oh yeah! Hero Jia, just wait for me to bring back this thing for you! She cheered and bounced away.
She said "Oh yeah" in English, hehe.
Jia Qizhe quickly restored to his usual cold look, but a faint smile could be seen at the corners of his mouth.
What he just requested for was : Illusion Spirit Grass.
The Illusion Spirit Grass is a type of Plant with Spirituality, capable of creating hallucinations. It's extremely difficult for an average person to find it, not to mention obtaining it.
He really didn’t want to have this young miss of Gu Manor following him, but regardless of what he wanted, to turn down her plainly wasn’t good, since she did actually help him in the morning.
Since he came up with this sort of mission, it should be more or less like a refusal……
Evening.
Gu Qingyu was feeling really pleased with herself, as she hummed and skipped towards the dining room.
Everyone was already sitting down, and didn't seem to have begun yet.
“Father, I’m late, I hope you can forgive me.” Gu Qingyu bowed.
“Yu’er, come and sit down.” The man pointed towards a seat, and Gu Qingyu seated herself.
As it didn’t seem to be any movements from any family members after the tense and anxious mealtime, Gu Qingyu finally let out a breath.
But!! She didn’t even get to 3/4 of the breath!!
“Yu’er, the day after tomorrow is the annual Performing Arts and Craftsmanship Competition, you should prepare yourself.” Gu Qingyu’s mother gave her a lovingly look.
Gu Qingyu almost choked to death, “Performing Arts and Craftsmanship?”
“That’s right, you wouldn’t go no matter what before, but this time you must participate, otherwise how could you qualify as a lady of Gu Manor!” An aunt said out of ‘kindness’.
What’s up with her being so happy at someone else’s misery! Why don’t you participate!

There seemed to be something on her rear end and top of her head……Gu Qingyu subconsciously touched it……It was a pair of fluffy and hairy ears and a really long tail!
Could these be the special features of a cat?
Gu Qingyu felt amazed and became very hopeful, "With such great lightness skills, I shouldn’t have any issues to find that Illusion Spirit Grass, right?"
She had asked Xiao Qi before. Not too far away from the city existed a mountain, and plenty of uncommon herbs were grown there.
So, Gu Qingyu just casually exercised little before jumping down, and returned to her room to sleep earlier.
After all, She had to get up early tomorrow and go pick some herbs……
Gu Qingyu didn't notice the shadow that was secretly watching over her.
Once she went back in, a man dressed in a blue robe came out of the shadows, with a faint smile touching his lips.
