Washing clothes, cooking, mopping the floor, washing dishes, they called for her casually to do it.
When Su Xingchen first came to the city, she was uneasy in the unfamiliar environment, and wanted to perform well. When her grandma called her to do the dishes, she would do it. When her mother told her to mop the floor, she would do it. If her sister called her to take her shoes, she took them. When her grandpa told her to serve him, she did as she was told.
Habits were a terrible thing. When she did what they commanded as a habit, everyone in this family took it as a normal thing, everyone told her to do things.
From her grandma, mother to sister. From her father, grandpa to brother.
Until she learned to resist, she understood what rejection was.
Su Xingchen returned to her room and dragged the storage box under her bed.
Many of these storage boxes were from the Su’s car repair shop, they were given to her when she just arrived. Because she had to sleep in Su Xingyue’s room, Su Xingyue was very repulsive.
She didn’t want to share her wardrobe and desk with her. She had a strong personality and good reasons, as she was studying in second grade. Needless to say, which was more critical, the first or second grade?
The youngest daughter who had just graduated from elementary school should not affect the eldest daughter’s study who was in grade two.
Father Su had no choice but to bring a few storage boxes from the store and stuff it under Su Xingchen’s small folding bed.
The small folding bed was empty, just enough to accommodate four storage boxes.
At that time, there were not four, only two, for her daily clothes. Four had been gathered in recent years. Two of them were textbooks that had basically not been used in recent years. They were all brand new.
Even though Su Xingchen was rebellious, her uncle’s upbringing made her love her books very much. Even if she didn’t study, she had never torn the books or thrown them away.
She took out all the past years textbooks, piled them up at the end of the bed, and picked up a pen. When she found that she had no notebook, she called Father Su. When he came back, he brought her a few notebooks.
There were many things in Su’s store like notebooks and pens. He was very excited when he heard that his daughter wanted school supplies.
“What else? Eraser? Pen?”
“If you pass by the bookstore, bring me some exercise books, all of the junior high school exercise books.”
Father Su was very excited. He not only took a stack of thick leather-covered notebooks from the store but also a box of gel pens and drove to the nearby stationery store to buy stationery for Su Xingchen.
He didn’t know what stationery young people used now, but there were two high school students at home, so they could use his current purchases.
In the past, he was busy with work. Business was good a few years ago and shops were opened one after another. As a master, he had to sit in each shop for a period of time. Now that Mother Su was in charge, this was the first time he got things for his children by himself and he felt very different.
When Su Xingyue came in, she saw Su Xingchen sitting cross-legged on the bed, with a stack of junior high school textbooks beside her, and a mathematics book on her lap. She was copying the exercises in the mathematics book and was looking at it seriously.
There was a desk in the room, Su Xingyue sat at the desk, opened the test paper and started to solve it.
The two sisters were in the same room, but there was no clear communication.
It was really uncomfortable for Su Xingchen to sit on the bed and write with a book on her lap.
Previously, Su Xingchen would never do her homework.
No, when she first came, she used the storage box as a table and laid on the lid of the storage box.
If she were her usual self, how would she be wronged to do her homework like that? She could definitely kick the box, turn around and walk away. Then stand on the road of this city like a tramp, looking around blankly, as if she didn’t know where to go. But in the end, she would go back home and lay on her small bed.
Bowing her head for a long time would be uncomfortable, even if she was already breathing Qi into her body.
She looked up at the window.
