'BANG' the door was forcefully pushed open by Cindy holding a magazine, who is panting from running to Katie's office.
"OMG Katie is this true? Is it?" Cindy said as she pushes the magazine in front of Katie's face.
Katie who is at her desk working almost died of fright from the loud noise. "Why are you in a hurry and what are you talking about?" the confused Katie asks.
"This" Cindy said pointing to a particular article in the magazine, "is that really you?" Cindy asks. Katie widens her eyes in shock a bit stupefied at what she is seeing. In the magazine it's a picture of her kissing a man, that aloe isn't enough to cause a stir because she isn't that popular but the man she is kissing is none other than CEO James Ning.
"Katie why aren't you talking, is this you?" Cindy said trying to break her friend from her trance.
Normally Katie would be upset about it, but she doesn't really mind. James has been on a work trip for a week now and she misses him. "Yeah, that's me" Katie slightly murmurs with a tender smile. "What? Do you understand what you are saying? That's CEO Ning and you?" said Cindy with a doubting look, "you said you where dating James not CEO Ning" Cindy said. Katie didn't reply but gives her a look that practically says 'are you an idiot'
Noticing a friends condescending look, "wait, James… his first name is James" Cindy exclaims finally putting the pieces together
"Yeah I know, he was the stranger from that night. He practically tracked me down and asked me out." Katie said with a faint yet beautiful smile
"But why aren't you upset? The media is calling you a gold digger. Don't you care?" Cindy asked worried about her friend and their company
"I know I should be but I can't bring myself to be upset. I know who posted it, and it makes me so happy to see her stooping so low" Katie said with a calm smirk
"You know who did it?" Cindy asks and receives a nod from Katie "who?" Cindy asks as her curiosity is getting the better of her. "His ex Ruby Xie" Katie replies.
