She only takes two steps before she turns around and says, "Katie later today you should stop by at the office and come see me, I want to give you a invitation to my parents anniversary." With that she turns around to leave not giving Katie time to react.
"uhm… what?" Katie looks towards James in confusion "I'm supposed to go to your parent's anniversary"
"Yes" thinking his answer was too short and fast, two seconds later he adds "just to introduce you to our grandmother while Ruby is down"

Catherine who is lazily slouched on a chair at the head of the conference table was intently starring at the CCTV camera of the entrance to the building waiting for Ruby to appear, she was wearing perfectly tailored suit pants and a red silk shirt with orange heels.
She was looking beautifully elegant but scarily unapproachable.
The silent Catherine sits up abruptly which causes every in the room to fall silent. She picks up her phone without paying attention to the strange stares.
"the young miss of the Xie family will be entering the company soon, let her make the nose she wants and pretend to obstruct her, but make sure she gets to conference room 2 on my floor." Saying that she hangs up, goes back to slouching on the chair.
"Aren't we having a meeting?" her cold voice feels the room and pulls back all the employees from their daze.
Except Kyle, who is starring at her with astonishment and wondering what she is planning, everyone else continues with the meeting.
