For Project X, Zhao Yao’s strong physique withstood the attack for 10 seconds under Time Freeze. Relative to his own Time Freeze, Zhao Yao actually withstood the attack for 80 seconds.
The next moment, Zhao Yao had completely turned into ashes.
However, much to Project X’s surprise, it was as if the clock turned back as Zhao Yao’s physique reassembled itself from the ashes and materialized in thin air. He grabbed Project X by the head and threw him out before turning to the other Project X to fight.
“He can still regenerate and revive?” Project X was shocked. “He could enter the Time Freeze mode immediately after regeneration. Is this a derivative power of Matcha’s? This orange cat is getting more and more interesting.”
After Matcha’s regeneration ability was activated, it would immediately enter the Time Freeze mode. Zhao Yao made use of this special characteristic to activate Time Freeze again, even as his body was being burnt into pieces.
Project X’s 12 seconds of Time Freeze passed in a flash. Using his own extended duration of Time Freeze, Zhao Yao crushed the two doppelgangers of Project X into puddles of flesh and blood. Even so, he did not look happy at all.
“I can’t continue fighting like this. Fighting with Project X based on regeneration and brute force is meaningless. I have to change to a different fighting style.”
Time resumed its flow. Another two doppelgangers emerged from Project X’s shadows.
“This is never-ending. What’s up with Sang Biao’s physical evolution abilities? Can he really create physical doppelgangers endlessly?”
As Zhao Yao and the other Project Xs fought beyond a thousand meters, breaking walls and destroying everything in their path, Elizabeth slowly sat up in the main hall as she stared at Matcha, Fish Ball, and Lightning, who were still in Project X’s arms.
The three cats were, however, unconscious. Project X seemed to sense Elizabeth’s gaze as he turned towards her and spoke calmly, “You better stay where you are and not move an inch. Or else I will have no choice but to rob you of your ability and kill you on the spot.”
Elizabeth had no intention of moving. Although she could control the other party right now, she could not be sure that there were no other Project Xs around them.
She just activated her power of illusion and removed Matcha, Fish Ball, and Lightning’s five senses before transmitting her own voice into their consciousness to awaken them and drag them into her illusion.
The three cats woke up very quickly. When they opened their eyes, it was pitch-black all around, except for the glowing Elizabeth before them.
Matcha asked, “What’s going on? How did you appear, Elizabeth? Am I dreaming?”
Fish Ball replied, “You idiot, it must be an illusion! Elizabeth, what’s the situation now?”
Elizabeth briefly explained to them before she asked, “What are you guys doing? Why is Project X hugging you all? And he hasn’t even took away your intelligence?”
Matcha laughed awkwardly as he said, “Maybe he thinks we’re handsome and smart so it would be a waste if we turned into normal cats…”
“Idiot! Do you think this is a time to tell lies?” Fish Ball smacked the back of Matcha’s head with his paw as he told Elizabeth, “Based on my experience in dating cats, I am 99% sure that Project X is in love with Matcha.”
“What?!” Elizabeth was in disbelief, “That weird cat won’t even spare a second glance at me, why would he like Matcha?”

Project X glanced at Elizabeth from afar. Seeing that she remained on her spot, he frowned and thought to himself, “This female cat is so annoying. Why does she keep staring at me?”

Fish Ball walked up to him and chomped down on Matcha’s ears, straightening them at once. “Don’t touch your ears so carelessly. What if Project X doesn’t like your folded ears.”

Fish Ball got into a tussle with Matcha as he said angrily, “Can’t you see Zhao Yao is about to lose the fight? Whether we can save the world depends on you now!”
“Noooo!” Matcha screamed angrily, “Even if I’m beaten to death or robbed of my intelligence and turned into an idiot I would never ever turn gay for this!”
Lightning rambled at the side, “Like what you guys said, Project X can manipulate his physical form and turn it into anything he wants. Does that mean he can turn into a male or a female or basically any kind of cat he wants to turn into?”
When he realized Fish Ball, Matcha, and Elizabeth were all staring at him disdainfully, Lightning immediately shook his head in defense as he tried to explain himself, “Hey! What are you guys thinking of… Don’t look at me like I’m perverted. I’m just making guesses!”

Since Project X robbed his abilities, he would definitely suffer from the side effects of this power. That’s why he didn’t kill Matcha and the rest but carried them here with him.
He’s not using Matcha and the others as hostages. He’s trying to protect them.”
