Midnight, somewhere in the sky above London, a crack appeared, it was a horrifying sight. The sky split itself in half, dark clouds appeared and thunder roared. This phenomenon was a brief one; after the appearance of the crack; a silhouette got expelled, and it closed itself immediately after that.
Inside the house, a woman was sitting beside the chimney reading a book when she heard the huge splash sound coming from her swimming pool. Startled, she carefully went to were the noise came from; using a torchlight to check what happened; as soon as she arrived she froze looking at the source of this ruckus.
In the middle of the pool, floating on her stomach, was an unconscious teenage girl. Her clothes was nothing like she had seen before; with a long sleeveless red robe and black leather arm protections. Curious about the girl's origins and how she landed in her swimming pool; she fetched the perch and dragged her out from the water. Looking closely, her features were displayed under the torchlight; long red and silver hair, exquisite facial features, thin pink lips, slender silver eyebrows, and a curved figure that can waver the hearts of both men and women.
'What a gorgeous girl!' that was the woman first thought after seeing the girl. A slight jealousy sprouted in her heart; but she quickly shook her head as she found it ridiculous that she felt this way. The chilly wind that permeated the night woke her from her daze, she bent to lift the girl and once again startled when she did; the girl in her arms was in fact weightless. Without thinking much, she decided to ask her directly after she regain consciousness and promptly returned inside.
The next morning.
Slowly opening her eyes the teenage girl checked her surrounding only to find herself that she was unfamiliar with this place, she grunted in pain when she tried to get off the bed.
"You're awake!" the woman exclaimed drowsily hearing the groan.
"Lay down on the bed...I don't think you should move around. My name is Lily and y-" Lily walked to the bed and grabbed her shoulder to push her back. The girl deemed Lily's action as hostile; she caught her wrist and pinned her down on the floor. Caught off guard Lily tried to free herself but stopped when she heard a chilly voice: "Don't move or..."
Lily was so scared that she was motionless. Looking at the cold eyes glaring menacingly at her; the girl eyes were silver captivating anyone who crosses them; and Lily was unfortunate and did cross them. In her daze, forgetting the situation that she is in, she blurted: "Are you a cosplayer?" with a tone similar to a fan-girl meeting her Idol, soft and shy.
Hearing this question the girl stiffened a second and burst into laughter, her voice sounded in Lily's mind: "No, what is that?"
The girl's laugh sounded unladylike, which caused Lily to snap out from her daze. Averting her eyes from the girl's she asked: "Then who are you? How did ended inside my house?"
"My name is Phoenix, as for everything else, better not ask." Phoenix responded crudely. Blinking for a moment, Lily processed the chain of events before exclaiming: "Hey, you were weightless when I carried you inside, how is it possible that you're so heavy now!"
Lily's statement triggered Phoenix, who in turn lifted her high in the air; this action was the spark that ignited a long lasting friendship.
While being held, Lily shivered continuously, looking around her, she saw that the ground was far while the ceiling was near; then shifting her gaze toward Phoenix, she witnessed the impossible; her view of the world changed right at that moment.
Phoenix was floating, with a large grin on her face, enjoyed the expression of Lily, who's mind went blank. Phoenix spoke at that moment: "You as a woman, should know that it's a taboo to use the word heavy to describe us, right?" Lily didn't immediately respond, she recovered after a while and said yet something that sounded idiotic to Phoenix: "Teach me how you do this, please please pleeeaaaase..." her voice was filled with excitement, the previous fear vanished and the sudden change rendered Phoenix speechless.
As she listening to Lily's unceasing pleas, Phoenix descended to the ground again. Pondering about her strange behavior, Lily explained: "Oh, I know your confused, but I know that you're from a different world, right?" This question startled Phoenix, wariness instantly filled her face. "I have a lot of stories that speaks of worlds that exists besides ours, so seeing you levitating just now I knew this must be the case!" Lily noticed this and said to ease her guest, then she continued: "Be my guest, I'll provide you food and shelter in exchange of your teaching, deal?"
Phoenix thought about this proposition for a long while; Lily was worried she would refuse seeing that she thought for a long while. Just as she wanted to persuade her further, Phoenix spoke: "Lily... I'll be in your care!"
