Me and Uncle Alto was ready and already packing up our stuff and put in on the carriage, I promise Ilya-nee that I would not do anything that can worry her and I also promise her that I would visit her in Elis-san's place, she said it's not too far from our village.
Me and uncle Alto taking our departure after the sunrise, Elis-san said she and Ilya-nee would leave at noon so I guess Ilya-nee will send a farewell greetings to Aunt Wilda, is it gonna be alright? would they be alright here? someone needs to protect the people in this village
Elis-san seems to notice my concerns and pat my head.
"Don't worry, I'll be going to this village sometimes to see how's everyone doing, and if anything bad happens here, I will evacuate everyone to my place"
She seems to look right through me, I just smile and thank her for that.
"Now then have a safe trip.."
Elis-san is waving her hand for me and uncle Alto, but my sister seems to look at me leaving with a sad face, so I decided to smile at her and wave.
"I'll be safe there Big sis, don't worry"
It seems that those words were able to make Ilya-nee smile at least looking at me leaving.
"How long does it takes to get to the capital uncle?"
it's been around 10 minutes since we're leaving, nothing is special and we just having chat along when sitting next to each other.
"Well, it will take 1 and half-day if we hurry since it's winter, I couldn't let the horses got all cold with the weather, usually it only takes a day to go to your village"
"So it's because of the weather?"
"Yeah pretty much"
I guess that makes sense, even horses won't stand this kind of cold too long and need to rest and warm themselves sometimes.
"I will try it then uncle"
"What is it?"
I cast a [ Cold Protection ] to uncle Alto and the horses and hoping it would work.
"Woah what is this, I can still feel the wind but it's not cold at all"
I guess that's a success over there, uncle Alto looks amazed and enthusiastic, maybe he never feels one himself since magic is something that someone needs to learn.
"Alright then we're gonna arrive at the capital before sunset"
Uncle Alto spurs his horses with an enthusiastically, they indeed move faster now.
- Its almost noon, I think Ilya-nee and Elis-san will be departing soon
"Are you done giving everyone a farewell greet?"
"Yeah..."
Wilda-san is sure giving me a very big farewell hug and these fruits and snacks.
I'm a bit sad that I have to leave this house empty for a while, but I have to do it, Erwin's safety is my first priority and I can't let him wander in such a dangerous place like south forest anymore, at least he's gonna be living in the capital for a while that he wouldn't get in any dangerous situation at least and he's with uncle so I guess it'll be fine.
I'm not bringing that much stuff, only some clothes and some books that I think I'd like to read in my free time and of course these foods Wilda-san gave me.
"Milady.....you...."
Suddenly a horse kart appears in front of my house and a maid coming towards us and hit Elis-san on the head.
"Why are you always leaving on your own.."
The maid looks she's very angry with Elis-san, I tried to stop her for hitting Elis-san again because she's just hiding behind me from the maid like a little puppy.
"Pardon me, but I have to hit that stupid young milady behind you Ilya-sama"
"Eh.. please don't do that, and how did you know my name?"
"That stupid person behind you wrote something about you that will be staying over our place, I'm welcoming you Ilya-sama I'm Marina, ahead maid that takes care of young milady"
They do a formal introduction towards me but somehow her eyes are still terrifying for Elis-san because Marina-san keeps staring at her as she's ready to hit her again anytime.
"[ Sigh... ] We can't stay here forever or the horses will feel really cols because of the weather"
"That's no problem"
Elis-san quickly jumps out and cast some magic to all of us and the horses.
"There, it will warm your body"
"I will forgive you this one-time milady, but there won't be next time, if you cause another problem it won't only end with a lump in your head"
Marina-san sure looks terrifying with a face she's making right now.
I can only laugh on my own watching over those two, we take on our luggage then we're leaving the village after that.
