"And we're here.. Welcome to the capital"
"Woah..."
A big castle in the middle of the town can be seen from an entrance gate, lamps in the stores and houses lighten up, it's not even night yet, but this place is so bright.
"There are no many people around the town now because of the weather is so cold, let's just head to my house"
I nod excitedly and just keep looking around from the kart, I'm so excited when we're passing the shopping area, I can see a store with a light that flickering, a dim light store in the alley, a very bright one that looks like the store that sells clothes stuff.
We pass the area that seems to be a market because there were many stalls here and there, we turn to the next junction, the road isn't big like the main road, but at least there's still room for a horse kart and 2 people to walk.
"Here is my house"
We're stopping to a house in the corner right before the turn, uncle Alto told me to go inside first while he's going to stable to leave it there to one of his acquaintance's care.
I bring all my stuff down and uncle gave me the key.
"Just wait inside, I'll be back soon, the stable is around that corner"
I nod and just go to the door of the house uncle told me.
I put in the key and turn the key, the door opened and I can see nothing but dark.
"Lamp switch.. lamp switch..."
Uncle said there's a lamp switch near the door and I tried to find it.
"Ah there it is"
After I found the switch I press it and the lamp turned on, I can see a minimalist room, the main room here with 2 sofas facing each other, the hallway to back that seems to be the kitchen and the bathroom near the stairs to the second floor.
I take off my shoes and put it in the shoe rack next to the door, I walk inside and put down my bag near the sofa and I sit down, looking around the room in amazement, there was also a heating device here in the corner of the room near the sofa.
"I'm back, oh how is it Erwin?"
Uncle got back and he takes off his shoes and then his jacket and hang it in the stand hanger, there's also some hats and a suit there.
"Your house is nice uncle Alto, this is so cool"
I can't keep my eyes from looking around and amazed, the ceiling is pretty high and the heater is feeling nice too.
"Feel free to look around, your room is on the second floor, and 1 more thing Erwin, can I leave a cooking duty to you please?"
"Sure uncle"
"Thank you Erwin, I'm so glad I would be able to eat homemade food, hahaha"
I can't just stay in this house without doing anything, I want to help even a little, so when uncle Alto asks me to do a cooking duty, I gladly accept it.
"It's already dark so let's rest for tonight, we'll go to Rosaku-san's place tomorrow, anyway can you cook for dinner?"
"Alright, after I put this on my room"
"Okay, your room is the one next from the corner one"
"Okay"
I went upstairs and go to the hall to find my room, this house is quite big for someone living here alone honestly.
"One next to the corner room... ah here"
I open the wooden door and enter the room, it's quite clean and from the window, I can see what's outside.
I put down my bag and put out my stuff.
I put my clothes in the closet, I didn't bring many of them because I think I would better just keep washing it after I use it.
I brought the magic book uncle Alto gave me before, I want to thank Rosaku-san for this because uncle said Rosaku-san gave it to him.
"Let's just leave it here"
I put the book on the table in the corner, I change my winter clothes and go downstairs.
"What you want to eat uncle?"
"Oh, you're done? let's see, something warm would be nice though"
"Alright"
I went to the kitchen and try to find something I can cook.
"So.. tofu, a cabbage, carrot.. well I think this many is enough"
I prepare the knife and everything I need to use to cook the food.
"But I think I will only be able to cook a simple tofu soup with this"
I took my time cooking for dinner and after I'm done with the cooking I call uncle Alto to bring eat.
"You sure are good with cooking like your sister, it reminds me how her father really loves her mother back then"
"Her...?"
"Ah I'm sorry, your parents are like two love birds, Ilya loves them so much, I'm sorry you weren't able to see their face"
Uncle Alto looks sorry and I don't really know why uncle Alto said "Her mother" that kinda bothers me a little.
"Now that you mention it I didn't look like Ilya-nee at all, do I look like father?"
"Ah..umm.. yeah you do, your father is really handsome too"
Uncle Alto just laughs nervously and continues to eat his food.
I continue to eat my food and didn't think about it, that night uncle Alto just went to his bed early because he said he's too tired and I also went to my room and just stare outside the window.
"I wonder what it looks like inside the castle there"
The big building in the middle of the town here soar up the sky, I'm kinda interested to see what's the castle look like up close.
I take a seat on the chair and open up the magic book I brought along, I want to learn every single spell I can learn and be a great magician and went for the adventure, that's my dream.
"I wonder what's this illusion mist here"
I switched to the book Merlin gave me before and I see an illusion mist magic, which I'm still curious about what that is.
"It can make people inside the mist confused and hallucinating things, but what's that supposed to be?"
I create a magic circle on my hand and create a small ice gem then wring it.
Suddenly a strong wind impact opens up the window and a lot of white smoke coming out from my room to outside.
"Spread"
I clap once and the smoke spread and become invisible, then suddenly a thick mist appears in a pretty large area.
I look outside the window and the house in the neighborhood looks like it's disappeared inside the mist.
"Woah that's too thick"
I can only see a white mist from up here and I feel like my body is so light when I use it to move around.
I snap my fingers and cancel the magic spell, I see the fog is disappearing slowly, I close my window and put back the book on the table.
I lay down on the bed and went to sleep after that.

I switched to the book Merlin gave me before and I see an illusion mist magic, which I'm still curious about what that is.
"It can make people inside the mist confused and hallucinating things, but what's that supposed to be?"
I create a magic circle on my hand and create a small ice gem then wring it.
Suddenly a strong wind impact opens up the window and a lot of white smoke coming out from my room to outside.
"Spread"
I clap once and the smoke spread and become invisible, then suddenly a thick mist appears in a pretty large area.
I look outside the window and the house in the neighborhood looks like it's disappeared inside the mist.
"Woah that's too thick"
I can only see a white mist from up here and I feel like my body is so light when I use it to move around.
I snap my fingers and cancel the magic spell, I see the fog is disappearing slowly, I close my window and put back the book on the table.
I lay down on the bed and went to sleep after that.
