He heard Maria calling him and was poking his shoulder.
They'd been sharing room since they arrived. First, Maria seemed to be awkward about it but she got used to it.
He had a feeling why she woke him up. He looked at the clock on their bedside table.
1:46 am!
"what? You want something?"
he asked gently. He was afraid to made her depressed like last time. He accidentally raised his voice which made her cry.
"I want to eat ice cream, cookies and cream flavored."
Ice cream? In the middle of the night?!
She was like this when her pregnancy reached it's second trimester. She became more demanding and sensitive.
He helplessly sat up from bed and put on some clothes. He needed to gave her what she want. Or else he was facing a cold shoulder.
"just wait here, okay?"
Maria nodded in response.
Tobias hurriedly bought at a convenience store and went home immediately. When he arrived at their room, he found out that Maria was sleeping.
He shook her slowly to woken her up.
"hey babe, I bought you ice cream, cookies and cream flavored as you said."
Maria opened her eyes sleepily and looked at the ice cream.
"I don't want it anymore."
She said and went back to sleep.

Tobias frustratedly put the ice cream on the fridge and went back on their room. He really needs to widen his patience.
Tobias decided to sleep again. He hugged Maria and breathed her unique scent. He immediately fell asleep.

"Toby? I want a green mango."
Maria leaned closer to him. She was been like this when she wanted something. But, if she didn't needed him, she will never gave him even a single glance!

He took a deep breath and do as she said.
"okay, I'll be right back."
Tobias went to the market and find that fruit. Lastly, he bought three pieces of green mango and went home.
"babe, here's your green mango."
He found Maria was still seated on the spot where he left her. Comfortably sitting while caressing her flat abdomen.
"can you peel it for me?"
She looked at him, batting her eyelashes.

He helplessly walked towards the kitchen and peel the green mangoes. Is this the feeling of having a pregnant wife? Frustrating, irritating but fulfilling.
Every time he knew that Maria felt happy about everything he had done for her, he felt overwhelmed and glad!
"I want a vinegar and salt, also!"
Maria shouted.
Tobias just shooked his head and got the things she wanted. Then, walked back to her again.
"here's your green mangoes babe."
He put the plate full of green mangoes that he sliced and the vinegar and salt.
Maria happily started eating her mangoes, leaving Tobias alone.
'is she going to snubbed me again?'
Tobias sadly thought. He was tempted to kiss her! But, how? If she kept on snubbing him?
Tobias just focus on watching TV. Disney again, she's watching the little mermaid. He was wondering if she gets tired watching it repeatedly.
He looked at Maria who were currently munching the green mangoes, as if she didn't taste the sourness of the fruit!
"am I not allowed to asked for my reward?"
