Long Kael did not miss how the mages looked uncomfortable. This little thing he would not have been able to miss.

It was not only noticeable for him because his eyes could even see beyond stealth magic, but also because the other beings inside the room inquired about it.

One of the female doctors asked what was wrong but, the mage just replied that the wound was bigger than they had originally expected.

This was not the case earlier. When Mo Rin arrived, the burnt wounds on her back still had spaces separating them, and they were not bleeding heavily. But now, it looked more like one big wound.

They were afraid actually for the possibility of it to get larger or spread to other parts of her body. This type of injury would surely scare anyone as it leaves a deep scar later.

However, no one had pointed that out, as afraid to anger Long Kael. No one also told him that people were waiting outside of the room who urgently demanded attention.

The mages' lips were pursed as they started doing what they could do to cure Mo Rin.

Long Kael watched them with narrowed eyes as the mages open the bottles of healing potion before placing the liquid from it on their hands.

Then both the mage's carefully and gently spread the liquid.

Mo Rin moaned in pain again through her sleep. Her hands were on both sides clenched on the bed.

'Is she already awake ?' Long Kael asked silently as he stared at Mo Rin's expression.

He was waiting, getting anxious by every passing minute. He was on the verge of shaking her to finally open her eyes. This was the only way he could confirm that she was alright.

Long Kael admitted to himself that his dragon had been out of control earlier.

Since they had hurt their mate so badly, his dragon was upset and had the foreseen instinct of her running away from them. To solve that, his dragon decided to take over in a moment and made her unconscious.

Long Kael wanted her to wake up as soon as possible. He wanted to know a lot of things.

What was her name? Where she came from?

Why was she running away from him? Did she not know what a mate meant? Can't she feel the connection?

Why was his touch painful to her?

There was a huge list of questions he wanted to ask.

"How could this be?" One of the mages murmured after a while with regret written all over her face like she was not supposed to voice that out.

But she realized it too late. Though it was so softly spoken, it was still enough for Long Kael to hear which made him stop in his line of thoughts.

Long Kael quickly stepped closer to the mage, "Explain." He demanded.

The mage faced him nervously before answering, "I… I… The wounds are not healing, Your Majesty." The mage looked at the bottle of potion that she was holding. "This is the best healing potion related to magic from Shenxi Auction house. I am sorry, Your Majesty. We are not able to explain what is going on…" She said confused but also terrified.

After hearing that, Long Kael's face turned black. The temperature in the room noticeably turned hotter and dangerous. Since it was a familiar foreboding atmosphere, they immediately stepped back, sensing the danger.

However, before anyone could beg for mercy, the mage's neck was already in Long Kael's hands.

"Since you are useless, let me just finish your life. Ok?" Long Kael said before his hand tightened around the mage's neck.

The mage's face paled, tears running down her eyes as she looked at Long Kael terrified. She also gave up on her life since the dragon king was known to be merciless even if you begged.

The room was quiet as they looked at the mage's face, catching her breath as Long Kael slowly crushed her neck.

Their hearts were beating fast afraid that after Long Kael took care of the mage, they would be next.

Until someone broke the silence, "Senior sister…" The voice was soft but husky, accompanied by the difficulty of breathing. It was Mo Rin who had spoken, probably through her sleep or she was waking up.

Just like that, Long Kael released his hold on the mage's neck and he immediately stepped closer to Mo Rin instead.

He leaned towards her face and carefully checked her, waiting for her to open her eyes.

After a while, her eyes did not open. Long Kael placed a finger across Mo Rin's nose to check for her breathing. Then eventually, he stood properly and looked at the mages in the room.

The one that almost died was still on the floor trying to keep her coughing to herself while the other mage was checking on her.

"You said the potions you have is the best that Shenxi Auction house currently have?" He asked with indifference.

"… Ye… Ye… Yes, Your Majesty…" the mage that was still alright answered stuttering. In all honesty, they wanted to run away from Long Kael. It was going to be a useless attempt, but at least they will die trying.

Was it worth it though? No one knew as their life was in the king's hand. They needed to cure the currently injured woman to continue living.

There were other mages in the palace, but the best magical ingredients were not available.

Then aside from Shenxi Auction house, from where else could they get a higher quality of healing potion?

"Very well. Tell Shenxi Auction house to produce a better medicine. If they are not able to cure her within two days, all of their employees will be executed," Long Kael ordered with an evil smile on his face.
