Tapping the shoulder of one of the officers at the gate of Zhang villa was a woman whose face was quite hard to forget. Decked in a long sleeved baggy shirt and jeans of black, her chin length hair looked as though it hadn't seen a comb in a long time, on both feet was a pair of dark ankle boot. The only jewelry she had on was a small studded earring of gold on both ears, round pale face stripped of any form of makeup made her dark eyes seem as if it would fall out at any moment.
"Excuse me! Is this the house of Miss Zhang?"
"Yes, this is Zhang villa, the home of Miss Zhang and who are you?"
The male officer looked at the above average build of the woman from head to toe, the eyes seem to gauge if she was a possible threat or not, while the other officers that kept the traffic moving gave a quick look in the direction of the newcomer. Instead of replying directly, the woman reached into her back pocket to pull out an ID card to hand it over to the policeman. The moment the eyes of the officer landed on the face displayed on the ID and the details on it, he raised a hand to his head to salute the woman in front of him, before handing back her ID, which she placed back in her pocket.
"Good morning Sir!"
The greeting from the officer made the other officers that were nearby turn to see who commanded that much respect. A woman that was addressed as a man in broad daylight? How unusual!
The woman returned the greeting of the officer, who in turn faced his colleagues casting meaningful glances at them. The rest followed suit and gave the woman a salute, probably thinking that she was a high ranking plain clothed government official.
"Officer Cao will walk you in Sir!"
In a slightly raised voice to create an impression with the woman, the officer whose name was called was a man with average stature that looked to be in his thirties. Officer Cao gave a salute to the officer that gave him the mandate and the mysterious woman that his colleague wasn't so forthcoming about.

Walking in front of her, the two made their way inside, amidst the cars that were going in out and of the gate of Zhang villa. Officer Cao didn't make any conversation with the woman for fear he might offend her in the process.
