"Yes! Director Sheng!"
He Shuai was one of the female clinical researchers at Sheng Pharmaceuticals, she rushed to pass the clear plastic bottle that held a blue liquid to Sheng Liena.
"Director Sheng! The results for the KEDX14C is out!"
"Let me see the report Yining."
Bai Yining rushed over to where her boss was, handing over the sheets of paper to Sheng Liena. Everyone in the lab donned a white lab coat and a white head cover and gloves.
Sheng Liena took the papers from Bai Yining to look through the contents. This was one of Sheng Pharmaceuticals experimental drugs, the researcher brought the result from one of work stations in the lab, since everyone had a different task assigned to them.
"We are getting close to stabilizing the molecular structure of the chemical compound."
To the researchers this was considered good news after the hours they had spent in getting the experimental product to where it was, to them only a few more steps remaining for them to submit a proposal to have it seen by the appropriate regulatory bodies before releasing it to the market as a trial drug product.
"Good job everyone! Lunch is on me! So make sure you come with an empty stomach. okay?!"
Sheng Liena curled her index finger and thumb in the "okay" sign, looking as her subordinates began jumping up and down with excitement.
"Thank you Director Sheng!"
They all chorused their thanks to Sheng Liena, who gave a dismissive wave, as though telling them not to put too much thought at what she was about to do for them.
"Okay! Let's all get back to work!"
With that, they all scrambled back to their various work stations at the pristine white lab.

At Hong Holdings, President Hong Yongrui was going through the stacks of leather bound proposals on his desk. Flipping through pages upon pages of black leather bound folders. After a while, his phone beeped, as he pressed a button to answer the call. A female voice came from the other end of the phone.
"President Hong, a representative from KeXin bank is here to see you."
"Li Meng, send the person in."
A few moments later, President Hong heard a tap on his door.
"Come in!"
A middle aged man in corporate brown suit walked into the office of the President of Hong Holdings, Hong Yongrui stood up from where he sat to greet his guest. It was the chief financial officer of KeXin bank that walked through the door.
"Director Huang please have a seat."
Hong Yongrui gestured for the man to take a seat by the leather couch in his office, soon after he joined the other man to sit across from him.
"What brings you to Hong Holdings?"
President Hong already knew of the other man's intention to see him personally. The fairly new bank wanted to a sort of referral program where the two companies could benefit from each other.
