Sheng Liena eyed the hand that held onto her arm, which sent ripples of pain through her body.
"Where do you think you are going?!"
Pan Xiaoting was enraged by the haughty attitude of the woman that not only arrived late for their first date, but was leaving early without giving him the due respect.
"Take your hands off me, before I sue you for assault!"
Hearing her threat sent Pan Xiaoting into a fit of laughter.
"You think it's funny?! Take your hands off me! Right now!"
When he heard her voice raise up a notch, that caused his laughter of Pan Xiaoting to die a natural death.
"Shut your mouth and sit quietly!"
To make his point, the man went as far as to push Sheng Liena back to her seat, while the attendants of the place watched with keen attention.
"Wh..What?!"
A look of utter disbelief stole across the face of Sheng Liena, that a man she was just meeting for the first time was treating her no better than a child. She saw him return to his seat across from her.
"You are not to move until the night comes to an end!"
"Are you crazy?! Or high on something?!"
"Think whatever you want, but you are not leaving until I say so!"
Sheng Liena cursed inwardly, "This man is a total psycho! I'm not spending another second in here with him!"
Tightening her lips in firm determination, she stood up again, refusing to be bullied by Pan Xiaoting.
"Mr. Pan, I hope you enjoy whatever is left of the date!"
Pan Xiaoting jumped out of his seat to stop Sheng Liena from leaving the restaurant. The attendant that were within the vicinity of their table had a conflicted look on their faces, unsure of whether or not they should step in and rescue her from Pan Xiaoting.
Some of the diners heard the voice of the two and turned to see the commotion that was taking place a few feet away from them.
Hong Yongrui began making his way to the private table that he had ordered for the night, along with several attendants that specially served the "VVIP" diners. From afar he saw a woman that resembled Sheng Liena, but dismissed it as probably someone that looked like her, only for him to hear, "Miss Sheng! You are not going anywhere!"
That was when Hong Yongrui hastened his footsteps, not thinking twice about why he wanted to separate her from the man that grabbed onto Sheng Liena.
Despite the fingers digging into her flesh, Sheng Liena refused to give Pan Xiaoting the satisfaction of hearing her wince in pain.
"Sir! Take your hands off my girlfriend!"
Hong Yongrui knew that the words he said would forever haunt him, but he wanted to do whatever it took to rescue Sheng Liena from her abusive date.
Not expecting the President of Hong Holdings to walk in on such an embarrassing situation, rather than blushing, she ended up staring with her mouth wide open at Hong Yongrui.
