Kai Xin opened her eyes and stared at the envelope.
She wrote it that very night. She had no idea why.
Maybe it was because there was no one she can talk to and she just wanted to let it out, or maybe it was to remind herself of her past.
All she remembered was that, once the letter was sealed, she never unsealed it again.
She had kept it with her when she moved to the new school and subsequently the new house.
Whenever she felt weak, she would take it out and looked at it.
But most of the time, she kept it locked away.
This time, instead of putting it back into the box, she placed it in her bag.

Meanwhile back at Hotel W, the bellboy, Jiang Cheng, was doing his rounds when he heard the sound of a woman crying coming from one of expensive suits.
Worried that someone might be in danger, he placed his ear on the door.
"D-don't...P-please...I'm sorry..." came the muffled voice of a woman.
"All you women are nothing but trouble! I have given you so much money but you want to break up with me? TELL ME! WHO IS THAT MAN, YOU WHORE!!"
More shouting and Jiang Cheng heard things being broken.
Worried, he immediately reported back to his supervisor.
However, as the voices got louder, he was unable to sit by and do nothing.
With his phone camera on and ready, he unlocked the door.
He managed to capture a video of Mr. Tang beating up a woman that he had never seen before.
When he saw her bruised up and tear stained face, and the arm that appeared dislocated, he got angry.
"STOP IT!" yelled Jiang Cheng.
Mr. Tang turned to him. When he saw that it was only a bellboy, he scoffed, "Get out of here, kid. This is none of your business!"
"Stop hurting her!!!" warned the young man.
Mr. Tang laughed and sneered, "What are you going to do about it?"
He grabbed the woman's hair and slapped her before taunting Jiang Cheng,
"I can do whatever I want. She's my whore. I paid for her!"
Jiang Cheng was unable to hold himself back and he rushed forward.
Grabbing the man's hand, he yelled, "LET HER GO!"
However, the man was stronger than him and he threw Jiang Cheng against the wall.
As the latter coughed out blood, the woman cried, "Leave! This is none of your business!"
Jiang Cheng got back up. He spat out the blood and challenged Mr. Tang,
"Come at it me, you ugly pig! Or are you just a coward who is only capable of hitting a poor, defenseless woman!"
Triggered, the man went to Jiang Cheng and it was obvious who was the stronger man.
Even though he was fat, the man was faster than he appeared to be.
Jiang Cheng was thrown around the room as if he weighed nothing.
As he laid down on the floor, Mr. Tang stepped on his throat and laughed, "Since you want it so much, I can send you to see the King of Hades!"
The woman threw herself in front of the man. With her good hand, she grabbed his leg that was on Jiang Cheng's neck and begged, "Please let him go. He's innocent!"
Grabbing her neck, he lifted her up before yelling, "Why are you protecting him? IS HE YOUR BOYFRIEND?"
The woman clawed at his hand, "N-No! H-He's not! Please..."
Mr. Tang spat at her before throwing her against the wall. The impact knocked her unconscious.
"Miss!" yelled Jiang Cheng despite his pain.
Glaring at Mr. Tang, he sneered, "You are nothing but a cowardly pig!"
"Oh yeah?" Mr. Tang kicked Jiang Cheng in the ribs. He lifted a metal lamp nearby and raised it up high.
Just as he was about to bring it down on Jiang Cheng, an arrow shot past from in front of him and landed on the wall.
The two turned and saw Head Manager Han with a crossbow.
While he was loading his crossbow, Head Manager Han said calmly, "Mr. Tang, I do not take too kindly on anyone who dares to hurt my people."
Mr. Tang kept his eyes on the crossbow as he tried to talk his way out of this,
"Head Manager Han...Please calm down. This young man interrupted the love making session between me and my lover. I was just helping you to teach him some manners..."
Head Manager Han glanced at the unconscious woman who was obviously seriously injured before saying,
"Quite an intense love making session you were doing earlier."
Mr. Tang wiped off his sweat as he nodded, "Y-yeah. She's pretty freaky..."
Head Manager signaled for his two guards to come in and told them,
"Please escort Mr. Tang to collect his things and make sure that he leaves the hotel within 20 minutes. Let everyone knows that he is forever banned from this hotel and from all the hotels under Du Conglomerate."
"Yes, sir!" said the two guards in unison.
As they moved towards Mr. Tang, the man snapped, "You have no right to do so! I am a paying customer and I have -"
An arrow landed right between his knees. Startled, Mr. Tang fell down on the floor.
As he reload the crossbow again, Head Manager asked with a smile, "You are a paying customer and you have what?"
Terrified, the man shook his head, "N-Nothing. I have nothing."
"I thought so."
After the guards escorted the man out, Head Manager Han checked on Jiang Cheng and scolded him, "You idiot! You should have waited!"
"I'm sorry but I was worried about the woman. Check on her, please, Head Manager Han," said Jiang Cheng before he winced from the pain from trying to move.
Sighing, Head Manager Han called for an ambulance while he checked the woman out.
Luckily, she was still breathing, and other than the dislocated arms, bruises and cuts, she did not appeared to sustain from any other internal injury.
When the ambulance arrived, the woman was taken to hospital and Jiang Cheng followed her just to make sure that she would be fine.
