Ignoring his sworn brother's idiotic behavior, DX continued looking at the clothes that were laid out on his bed, "Go away. I'm busy."

"With what?"

"Courting the future mother of my sons."

"What?!" Jack and Callum gasped in unison. Lyle, as usual, merely frowned at the news. Nothing can get the kid to react much. Jack quickly climbed onto the bed and put his little hands on his father's shoulders, "Dad, are you serious about this whole MOTHER thing?" He spat out the word "mother" as if that was the most disgusting thing that has ever passed through his mouth.

"Yeah," He lifted him down from the bed so that he would not accidentally hurt himself stepping on the clothes hanger, "Don't tell anyone yet. She has yet to accept me. That goes to you too, Callum." He did not feel the need to warn Lyle as that kid barely talked to anyone anyway.

"Who wouldn't accept you? You are Du XiAn, President Du of Du Conglomerate! You are rich! Tall! Good looking! You are like the No. 2 Most Eligible Bachelor in the entire country!" Despite his misgivings on the idea of having a new mother, Jack was so proud of his father that he felt it necessary to defend him by listing down all of DX's qualifications.

"Two?"

"Obviously, I'm the No. 1." Callum sneered.

DX raised a brow as he looked at his youngest and wondered how he got pulled into this.

"I lost at Mario Kart earlier." He shrugged off the issue and continued pestering his father, "Dad, I don't want a new mum. Isn't it fine with just us?"

Hearing the sad and scared tone in his son's voice, he got down on one knee to talk to him properly "Jack, you'd like her. She would protect you."

"Grandma said the same thing whenever she brought those women back for you but you never like them."

"Yeah," Callum interjected, "You barely even look at your own ex-fiancee...and you have like 5 of them."

"Get lost, Callum." He then turned back to his son, "Jack, I don't like any of those boring Barbie dolls and neither do you. Kara is different from them. She is special and you'd like her."

"No way! Kara, the who-" Callum was stopped by the ice piercing glare of one of the most dangerous man in the county. Exasperated at the news, Callum stared angrily at the guy who he had known since he was 10, "You can't be serious…"

Standing up calmly, he placed a hand on his shoulder as he spoke, "I'm serious about her, Callum, and I would appreciate it if you don't poison my sons against her."

Callum recognized the tone. It was his 'don't argue with me about this or i will beat the crap out of you' tone. DX had often used this tone with Callum back when Callum was still in high school, and he would not hesitate to thrash Callum up if he still refused to behave. Remembering all the beatings he had received from DX, Callum shivered. As such, he decided not to push his buttons for now. However, he swore to investigate the entire 18-generations of this 'Kara'.

DX noticed the evil glint in his eyes and warned, "Callum, promise me that you won't harm her."

"As long as she doesn't harm you, I'd leave her alone." He stormed off, dragging Jack behind him, thus signalling the end of the conversation. DX sighed as he thought how Callum would be the only one in this world who would dare to treat him like this. Well, other than his little minx.

"Lyle…" DX looked at his oldest son who were still standing by the bed and hoped that he would understand.

"I don't know." Lyle admitted his feelings on this matter. He kept his hands in his pocket as he tried to figure things out.

He had never thought much about the women in his father's life because he knew that they would never stay for long. But, this was the first time he saw his father getting excited over a date with a woman. Heck! This was the first time his father got openly excited about anything. He can tell that his father really likes this Kara. While he was not keen on having another mother, he knew it would be selfish to stop his father from his happiness. He turned around, but before he left the room, he added, "I will discuss this with Jack."

DX nodded in gratitude. At 10, Lyle was definitely more mature than that dumb, childish, immature, vengeful sworn brother of his.
