By the time they arrived at Du Mansion, it was already fifteen minutes passed dinnertime. When Callum asked about the whereabouts of everyone, one of the staff informed him that everyone was waiting in the dining room. Hence, they immediately went straight to the dining room.

An Qi Yan wanted everyone to sit closer during the dinner so she had asked the staff to change the rectangular dining table into a round table. On the round table, there was all sort of dishes ranging from roast pork to stir fry beef to an entire steamed chicken that Kai An was eyeing intensely at. A huge bowl of ABC soup sat in the middle of the table.

An Qi Yan, Kai Xin, Kai An, and the twins were talking to each other when they saw Callum walking in with Ghost following right behind him.

"Oh! It's you!" gasped Kai An when he saw Ghost. With a grin, he then turned to Callum and wriggled his eyebrows before saying, "So...That's your date? I was wondering who it was when Kai Xin told me that a bigshot is coming."

Even though Callum told Kai An that he had his eyes on someone, he had never told him who...or what gender "someone" was. Rolling his eyes at Kai An, he murmured, "Shut up."

As he watched them took the seats between him and his mother, Kai An said, "You'd have told me earlier...Then I can tell you that I saw his dingdongs before."

"What!" gasped Callum as he looked at Kai An intensely before turning his accusatory gaze towards Ghost. The twins burst out in giggles when they heard Kai An.

Over the days, Kai An had secretly taught them the different terms that adults used for their private parts.

"Don't be an idiot. I was drunk, and he was the only man at home," replied Ghost before he turned to greet An Qi Yan.

"It has been a while, Xiao Ying. I'm glad that you can make it..." said An Qi Yan with a smile. She then turned to the other two and said sternly, "No talking about dingdongs at the dining table!"

Ghost then turned to Kai Xin and asked, "How are you?"

"Great...Du XiAn has something to do at work so he would join us a bit later..." replied Kai Xin. She was glad that Ghost was able to make it.

Callum looked at all the members of the Zhen Family curious. He then turned his gaze back to Ghost before asking, "Have you guys met before?"

Based on how DX treated Ghost, Callum had suspected that Ghost and Kai Xin might have had some sort of past relationship.

"Wait...Ms. An knew him. Kai An saw his dingdongs. Kai Xin seemed friendly when she talked to him..." thought Callum. He gasped and pointed out loudly, "Oh my god! Were you guys lovers?!"

"Idiot..." murmured Kai Xin as she facepalmed herself.

"What am I supposed to think? You were nice to him! And Kai An saw his dingdongs!"

When Lyle and Jack heard their uncle's reasonings, they facepalmed themselves as they both thought, "I can't believe he's our uncle...Luckily, we're not related by blood..."

"I'm nice to Ki Hong as well...I'm also pretty nice to you...Are you guys my ex-lovers as well? Please use that brain of yours, Mr. Shenlong," said Kai Xin in exasperation as she rolled her eyes at him.

"Then what is this? Why are you guys behaving in such a chummy manner?" asked Callum.

"We are friends. Now stop embarrassing yourself," said Ghost before he picked up a piece of cucumber. Stuffing it into Callum's mouth, he said, "If you can't stop saying stupid stuff, please just keep your mouth full constantly..."

After he swallowed the small piece of cucumber, Callum whispered, "I'd like to keep your mouth full with something..."

'PAP!'

"Ouch!" yelled Callum before he turned to glare at Kai An who slapped him at the back of his head.

Feigning innocence, Kai An raised his hands before saying, "Kai Xin told me to do that!"

When he looked at Kai Xin who was sitting opposite him, the latter said tersely, "Don't forget that you are at home and there are children here."

"Darn it..." cursed Callum. Turning to the boys, he said, "I can't wait until you boys turned 18 years old. After that, I can say whatever I want and she can't do anything to me!"

"When we turned 18 years old, our little sister would be around 7 years old. I think that instead of Mummy, Dad would just kill you to save the trouble..." said Lyle with a grin. Ever since Kai Xin moved in with them, he had been more talkative compared to before.

Turning to Ghost, he looked at him for help but Ghost ignored him as he asked An Qi Yan about her day. They started eating not long after and with so many people around, the dining room was livelier than ever.

"Xiao Ying...You need to eat more," said An Qi Yan before she picked up a drumstick and placed it on Ghost's plate. Kai An pouted because he wanted the drumstick. When he was not looking, his sister took the other drumstick to keep it for his brother-in-law.

She then took a piece of the breast meat and placed it on Kai An's plate before smirking, "Since you don't have to do housework now, you need to eat leaner meat...Otherwise, you'd get fat."

Kai An groaned and said, "Damn it! Look at yourself, you fat pig!"

"Hey! I'm not fat! I'm pregnant!"

Kai An laughed, "Pregnant? More like fat! I won't be surprised if there's actually a blob of fat inside of you instead of a baby!"

Even though he loved Kai Xin, he enjoyed teasing her every now and then.

DX was walking into the dining room when he heard Kai An. In a gruff manner, he asked, "Who is calling my daughter a blob of fat?"

Kai An immediately clamped his mouth shut and shook his head nervously. DX was fine with the siblings joking around but he hated it whenever people talked about his unborn daughter using words other than "cute", "pretty", or something equivalent.

"I'm sorry..." murmured Kai An guiltily.

DX saw Ghost but he did not say anything. Instead, he went straight to sit down next to Kai Xin. She told him earlier that she invited a friend back for dinner and told him to come home as soon as possible.

Placing a quick peck on her lips before asking, "Is Mr. Luo the friend you mentioned?"

Kai Xin nodded, "He's my friend, Luo Guang Ying. I invited him over for dinner."

"It's fine. This is your house. You can call whoever you want, but just be careful of the people you invited in..." warned DX.

Kai Xin smiled before saying, "Gho-Guang Ying is a good man. He won't hurt me."

"If you say so..." said DX. However, his slight changed of tone in his voice betrayed his real thought. Kai Xin did not question much as DX was behaving as how he normally behaved among strangers.

Ghost did not talk to DX. He was eating quietly and only talked whenever someone talked to him.

"Xiao Ying...Why didn't you eat the drumstick? You don't like it?" asked An Qi Yan when she noticed that he did not touch the drumstick.

Ghost shook his head before saying softly, "I like it...I'm leaving it until the end..."

An Qi Yan laughed gently, "You don't have any siblings, do you? If you have one, you would learn not to leave your favorite food till the end..."

He merely smiled at her. After a while, he said, "I've got a younger brother...But our relationship is tense..."

"I'm sorry..." said An Qi Yan. She saw earlier that Ghost kept glancing at the interactions between Kai An and Kai Xin as well as between the twins. He even peeked secretly when Callum and DX were talking about their work-related matter.

Every now and then, he would smile quietly to himself. However, it seemed to her that he was a little jealous of their relationships. As she watched Callum fussing over the food on Ghost's plate, she thought, "He must be one of those who can't get along with his siblings..."

Feeling slightly guilty, she picked up a couple more dishes and placed it on his plate. When Ghost looked at her with grateful eyes, she asked worriedly, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing...I just thought...that you are like my mum..." murmured Ghost before he looked down on his plate filled with vegetables and meat.

"Well, mothers like to fatten their children up. It's our way of showing our love..." said An Qi Yan with a smile.

Ghost nodded.

When An Qi Yan looked at Callum over Ghost's lack of reply, Callum said, "His mother passed away..."

"What?" gasped An Qi Yan and Kai Xin. Feeling bad for the guy, Kai An who was trying to steal the drumstick from Ghost's plate when no one was looking immediately pulled his hand back.

Kai Xin stared at Ghost. No one told her about it before and she was a little annoyed that he told Callum over her. She mouthed at Ghost, "When?"

Ghost merely shrugged as if that answered everything.

An Qi Yan was a little short for word. The last time they met, she knew that someone happened to his mother, but never had she expected that his mother had actually passed away. However, instead of making him feel awkward, she smiled and reached over to pat him on the head.

When she sat back down, he looked at her with a confused expression. With a grin, she said, "I'm sure that if your mother is alive, she would be very proud to see that you've turned into a fine young man..."

Ghost smiled at her and nodded, "I hope so..."

"I know that she would," said Callum seriously. Only idiots like Luo Han could not see that he had such a smart son.

After dinner, Ghost offered to help An Qi Yan and Kai Xin to prepare for snacks. When Callum offered to help as well, Kai Xin sent him out by saying, "You are more trouble than help. We don't need that many people here."

With a deep sigh, he nodded before saying to Ghost, "If you need me, just give me a call. I'd be in the living room with the rest."

"Go," said Ghost tersely. He wanted to hang out with An Qi Yan and Kai Xin without Callum's interference. As they cut the fruits, An Qi Yan kept asking Ghost questions and she said that she would cook him some of his favorite food next time.

Once they were done cutting the fruits, An Qi Yan called for the twins to come and helped them carried the different fruit platters out.

Over the last couple of weeks, she made sure that the twins helped out with the minor things at home as she did not want to them to grow up to be good-for-nothing men who relied on others for everything. Jack was reluctant at first but he was slightly scared of An Qi Yan and he eventually learned to follow her orders.

Kai Xin told An Qi Yan to leave first because she wanted to have a quick chat with Ghost.
