"Huh?" Kai Xin gave him a confused look. She then shook her head and wanted to ask more but then she heard DX moaned softly in his sleep. The two of them looked at DX but the latter merely mumbled something in his sleep before he continued to sleep quietly.
"I'm surprised he can sleep through our conversation… Is he actually asleep?" asked Ghost. He was almost whispering by the point. He reached out with a finger to poke the man's cheek but Kai Xin slapped his finger away before he could touch DX.
"Stop that!" Kai Xin warned Ghost. She then turned to look at DX with a gentle smile and said, "He's a little tired… Just let him sleep…"
As if DX could hear her, he tightened his hold on her hand.
While the three were seated there on the grass, a staff came running over. He was about to say something when Kai Xin signaled him to lower his voice.
"What?" asked Kai Xin in a hushed tone.
"Mr. Ye is here, again."
"Again?" asked Kai Xin with a confused tone.
Ghost answered for the staff, "When you were unconscious, Ye Xuanyuan came over once every other day. He wanted to meet Du XiAn. After he caught the news that you were unconscious, he even went to the hospital as well… However, your husband forbids everyone from talking to Ye Xuanyuan."
"Why does he wants to see my husband?" Kai Xin frowned as she pondered over it.
"I think he found out that Ye Tian is in our hand."
Kai Xin glanced at DX's sleeping face. After a while, she said to the staff, "Send him away for now."
The staff nodded and walked off.
"Don't you want to see him?" asked Ghost.
Kai Xin kept quiet for a while. A few seconds later, she shook her head and said, "Not really… He probably wants to plead for his son…"
15 minutes later, the staff returned and said, "Madam President Du, Mr. Ye has left. However, he said that he has someone that we might want to see…"
Ghost and Kai Xin exchanged glances before the former said, "Who?"
"He did not say…"
Ghost closed his eyes and murmured, "He'd probably be back again tomorrow…"
Kai Xin sighed. The man's only failure was that he did not raise his son with the proper values. Kai Xin did not really know Mr. Ye, but she knew that her mother-in-law thought highly of him.
As for herself, Kai Xin did not what to think of him since she had never crossed path with him or anything. All she knew was what he did previously and how angry DX was at his betrayal.
Based on how little they know of each other, Kai Xin felt that this was not something she should be in charge of.
After she dismissed the staff, she chatted with Ghost for a little longer.
Kai Xin suddenly thought about something and after a small giggle, she said, "Oh yeah… I named her Daisy… That's her official English name now."
Ghost looked at her with a look of surprise. He would never expect Kai Xin to name Little Monkey "Daisy".
After a moment of silence, Ghost asked, "Why?"
Kai Xin smiled. "A good friend of mine once told me that it's a strong name for a girl…"
Ghost looked at her with a soft gaze before he looked away again. He wondered how long had it been… 12, 13 years now? It was just something he said when he was in a melancholy mood.
Phantom, who because of his decision to hide the truth, had to hide from Kai Xin.
Ghost, who because of his birth, had to remain invisible.
Finally… Daisy, who continued to move forward despite the adversity…
All of their nicknames could be put away now. It was time for them to refer to each other by their given name. It was time for everyone to continue on with their lives.
He watched as Kai Xin continued to pat DX's chest softly.
"She's no longer that weak, lonely girl that stood on the bridge with fear and uncertainty in her eyes," thought Ghost with a small smile. Kai Xin was an adult now who no longer needed him, and he felt relieved. He could not deny that he had loved her before. After he got to know her, she was the only light in his world.
He wanted her to himself, but he was afraid of having her. He was afraid of causing harm to her.
As he looked at DX who despite sleeping, still continued to hold Kai Xin's hand as if he was protecting her, Ghost sighed softly. He knew where he lost.
Ghost pushed her away because of his fear… But DX was different.
Even though DX knew that there would be negative consequences if he chose Kai Xin, he would still do it in less than a heartbeat. If he was afraid that Kai Xin would get into harm, DX would get stronger instead of pushing her to someone else.
Ghost grinned wryly at his own realization.
"I was too weak..." He thought.
After they chatted for a few more minutes, Ghost went back into the mansion because he wanted to play with Little Monkey before she slept again.
When DX finally woke up, he groaned and asked, "What time is it?"
Kai Xin glanced at the clock on the iPad before answering him, "You've slept for two hours…"
When he heard her reply, he frowned and sat up. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
He quickly turned around and massaged Kai Xin's thigh as he said, "Numb?"
She smiled, "Yeah… For a while… I don't dare to move since I don't want to wake you up."
She knew that it was going to hurt if she moved a little. DX massaged her thigh until Kai Xin stopped him. She pulled her knees up. When she did that, both her thighs felt as if they were burning.
Leaning against DX's shoulder, she hissed, "Damn it! I hate this feeling!"
DX sighed and continued to massage her thighs to help the blood flow.
After a while, the painful sensation went off and Kai Xin lied down on the grass, exhausted.
"It's tough to be a romantic…"
"This is your idea of romance?" DX smirked but he did not say anything else. Kai Xin, who had never had a high school romance experience before, had more to learn about what it romance was. Then again, now that she was his wife, he had plenty of time to romance her.
After she felt better, he helped her back to her wheelchair.

She turned around slightly. With a serious expression, she said, "Let's start doing some physical therapy… I want to get better quickly…"
He nodded and pushed her back into the house. Once they got to the patio, he waited for the staff to clean the dirt and grass off the wheels of the wheelchair before pushing her to the living room.
When they were inside, they found everyone but Callum was sitting on the floor, in a circle. They had placed Little Monkey in the middle. She was sleeping on a large throw pillow while some of her fans were taking photos of her.
"This felt wrong…" murmured DX as he watched her daughter's privacy being invaded by others. In his mind, he was thinking, "They better not post her cute photos online!"
As if she knew what he was thinking about, Kai Xin laughed softly and patted his hand, "She'll be fine. They are not that silly... Come on, let's go…"
Before DX pushed her away, she glanced at Callum who was rubbing his lower waist and her eyes widened in surprise.
"So that's why Ghost told me to look at Callum... Huh... That's out of my expectation…" thought Kai Xin before she started to giggle.
DX looked at her with a confused expression but she quickly said, "Nothing… Just that some people are not what they seem to be…"
