Of all the clothes she has to wear, why does it have to be a dress?! She never wore silky nightgowns like what she was currently wearing; it was her first time in wearing one.
Wait! That matter was not important! She has to find out who made her wear such dress!
As she continued on staring at her own reflection, she suddenly noticed a red mark on her neck. She frowned when she saw that. She tilted her head to the side for a better view and it looked like a… Hickey.
A sudden image suddenly flashed in front of her and that was Ren Shiyuan, kissing her neck!
Her head started throbbing when it flashed in front of her. She held her head and groaned. That woman! How dare she take advantage of her?! Was she really a lesbian?!
The only person she was with last night was Ren Shiyuan so he was the primary suspect she could think of. She hurriedly went out of the room and started looking for him.
She sighed in relief when she saw him in the dining room, placing the takeout food on the table. He was wearing a baby pink dress and his long wavy hair was tied up into a ponytail. He looked fresh and lovely.
When she remembered the image that flashed in her mind earlier, her face became red. She needed to ask him about what happened last night! She needed to open her mouth and scold him for taking advantage of her!
Ren Shiyuan turned to Nian Jiezhen and smiled when he saw her there, he was smiling at her as if nothing happened between them. "Come, I've bought some hangover soup for you."
No words came out of her mouth when she saw him smile so brightly. Her heart was struck when she saw him smiling so lovingly at her.
She stretched her lips into a straight line before she went and sat on the chair that was before him. She was quiet as she started taking a sip from the hangover soup. Despite wanting to shout and get angry at Ren Shiyuan, she lost her strength to ask him because her shyness got ahead of herself.
From the look of it, it seemed that there was more to what happened last night. She decided to wait until she remembered everything before she assumed things out. It would be the safest thing to do and it would save her from embarrassing herself.
Ren Shiyuan stared at her for a short while before he started eating his food quietly as well. Should he ask if she remembered what happened last night or should he continue on acting as if nothing happened?
What about the wound she has on her stomach? He was curious and he wanted to ask her about it but he was worried that it might be a sensitive topic for her.
In the end, none of them talked until they finished their food.
"You can use my bathroom if you want to bath. Your clothes are in the laundry so you can just wear one of the dresses that we bought yesterday. The paper bags are in my room."
"Okay…"
Nian Jiezhen went back to his room and used the bathroom. While she was taking a bath, now that she was feeling better, she tried recalling what happened between them last night.
She started drinking a couple of beers and after a while, when the alcoholic drink started on hitting her, she opened up to Ren Shiyuan and he opened up to her.
Wait… he confessed that he liked Xia Meilin so… that means that he was really a lesbian, right?
She continued on trying to remember what happened next but it was blurry and she could only remember parts of it.
Nian Jiezhen's face heated up in an instant when she recalled the kiss. She kissed Ren Shiyuan! It was she who attacked him! "How can I face her now?"
She felt so embarrassed by what she did last night. She even told her that she didn't mind giving her first to a girl!
She covered her face with both hands in embarrassment. Should she start questioning her own sexuality now?
After taking a bath and changing into one of the dresses that she bought, she tried to act as normal as possible, as if she didn't remember what happened last night.
"Do you want me to drop you off to your place?" asked Ren Shiyuan with his usual beautiful smile.
Nian Jiezhen let out a plain smile, her face looked pale as if life was drained out of her. "No thanks, I can handle myself from here on. Besides, my place is just around the corner."
"Are you sure? You don't look okay..." He reached out his hand to her and was about to touch her forehead but Nian Jiezhen ended up stopping it by holding his wrist.
"I'm really fine." She let go of his wrist before she took a step back away from him.
Since she insisted that she was fine, Ren Shiyuan didn't force himself to her. "Okay, take care on your way back."
Nian Jiezhen nodded, "Thank you for taking care of me..." She slightly bowed at him before she turned and left.

Nian Jiezhen was relieved when Lu Yifeng stopped bringing his wife in her place since he wanted to spend more time with her.
Even if she knew that and it broke her heart, she still wished for his happiness. She was not going to pursue him knowing that he was happy with someone else and because of that, she decided to finally let him go.
It wasn't long when Nian Jiezhen received a message from Lu Yifeng about his departure from the country with Little Melon and because of that, she went to the airport with them to bid goodbye.
"Nian Jiezhen, take care of my wife." Lu Yifeng said as he looked at her.
"Don't worry, brother Yifeng, your wife is in good hands. I will make sure to protect her well." Nian Jiezhen smiled as she promised that to him. Even if she wasn't in good terms with Xia Meilin, she was not going to make that a reason to break Lu Yifeng's trust in her.
Xia Meilin rolled her eyes inwardly when she heard the words that Nian Jiezhen spouted. She couldn't help but think that was just saying that to look cool in front of her husband.
Lu Yifeng turned to Xia Meilin. He reached out his hand and held hers. "Behave, okay?"
"Momma, sister Jiezhen, no fighting, okay?" Little Melon reminded.
Xia Meilin and Nian Jiezhen looked at each other sideways before they turn back to Little Melon and nodded in sync.
"Then shake hands." Little Melon wanted to make sure that they're good. His teacher would always make his classmates shake each other's hand and hug each other whenever they were caught fighting. It always made the fighting stop.
Xia Meilin sighed inwardly. Why were they treating her like she was a naughty child? She already told them that she would behave. She was not a kid!
Nian Jiezhen thought the same. Alas, she still faced Xia Meilin and offered her hand for a handshake.
Xia Meilin pursed her lips before she turned to Nian Jiezhen. She held her hand and shook it.

They both turned to Little Melon and asked at the same time, "Are you serious?"
Little Melon had his arms crossed and was looking at them with a serious look on his face.
Meanwhile, Lu Yifeng was just watching from the side. He wanted them to be in good term. Xia Meilin was his wife and Nian Jiezhen was his cousin, he always treated her like a younger sister that's why it would be nice if they could get along together.
Besides, Nian Jiezhen would be very useful in the future since she works as an FBI agent. When it came to people like Yong Biqi, Nian Jiezhen understood the most on what was running inside psychopaths like her.
Xia Meilin and Nian Jiezhen stared at each other and sighed in the end. They leaned and gave each other a hug.

"See? We're not going to fight anymore," said Xia Meilin, trying to convince her son.
