Hearing the system, Mark felt a special connection. Activating the technique he chose his current location with him as the center. After ten minutes it was completed. Activating it again a portal appeared in front of him, turning to Derek and the baby dragon before passing through the portal.
On the other side of the portal was..... still the same place they where before except in reverse. "Wow it really feels like the real world." said Mark while looking around. Then he got a crazy idea, leaving Derek and the baby dragon he returned to the real world then ran searching for something.
What he was looking for is a group of demon beasts he and Derek stumbled across some days back but had to avoid due to not being able to deal with them. An ant hill belonging to a type of demon beast half his size called Copper Ants. Not being able to inflict damage on even the workers they ran away, now Mark was heading to their location.
On getting there he first attacked the hill so as to attract the ant soldiers guarding the hill. Seeing them rush towards him, he activated his new technique while saying "Charizard i chose you" then summoning the baby dragon who on appearing gave a loud roar.
"Charizard use Dragon Breath." Commanded Mark to which the baby dragon let out a breath of fire at the charging ants. The ants that where not affected froze from the dragons aura. Also summoning Derek he told him to tell the dragon to command the Ant Queen residing in the hill to come out. To which after some seconds an ant four times the size of the soldier ants which had the appearance of a worm crawled out and stopped in front of the baby dragon.
Seeing this, Mark summoned the portal to the inverse world then ordered the ant queen into it. Still scared the Ant Queen hesitantly moved towards it.
While crawling towards the portal Mark noticed the ant queen was black different from the other reddish brown ants. Checking its description it was Copper Ant Queen (Evolving). To which he asked the system while stopping the ant queen.
[It means what it says, it's evolving.]
"I get that but during mine i couldn't move until it was done and it was a fast process."
[That's because of it's of a different specie. Insects go through different stages when evolving into another sub-specie. And it is mostly triggered by external factors, like in this case a metal.]
"A metal?"
[Yes a metal with better properties than in this case copper.]
"Oh." said Mark before turning to Derek requesting him to ask about the metal from the Ant Queen.
[You seriously need to go through the information again.]
"Urgg" Grumbled Mark.
After a minute of communication between Derek and the ant he learnt that the ants found an armor made of a black metal while expanding their hill. Apart from that they dug some more but found no other present, so she kept it by her side after not being able to eat it. After some days a small piece of it fell which she ate resulting in her present state.
Hearing this Mark order for the armor to be brought out. After some minutes through the expanded entrance of the ant hill some copper ants brought out the armor and placed it in his front.
Using God's eye to find out that it was not an iron armor that he expected but.... an armor made of Adamantium. This gave him a shock because back on earth it is a fictional metal from a comic, he didn't expect it to be real in this world.
[Don't use your previous world's knowledge to gauge this world. Here almost everything is possible.]
"For real? I'm looking forward to finding what else exist in this world." Said Mark expectantly.
[Stop indulging in your wild fantasies and try absorbing it.]
Hearing the system, he first urged the ants through the portal with the baby dragon suppressing them then followed them in with the armor. After assigning an area to the ants he then stood in front of the armor with Derek.
"Didn't you say we gain what the other gains?" Asked Mark.
[Skills, memories and information, yes. But anything physical? No.]
After the systems reply they both closed their eyes to concentrate and activate their skill to absorb the adamantium into their body. After half an hour their skill activated causing part of the armor to gradually melt and flow towards them then entering their body.
The whole process took more than an hour leaving iron residues from the armor showing that it wasn't entirely made of adamantium. Checking his stats to see the changes made, his his strength defense and speed had a boost in value. With this he was close to being able to protect himself in the upcoming battle. But he still had to make some preparations.
