Wabei harrumphed. “You have so many wolf pups, what does it matter if one dies? How long are you going to be under Cole’s thumb just because of that Chixuan?”
Gu Mengmeng smacked Wabei on the head. “Don’t even joke about that. I will get angry!”
Wabei gave his neck a couple of cracks after Gu Mengmeng’s smack. “I am just speaking the truth. In the Beast World, which family managed to see all their children grow up to be adults? Snake beasts can bear over 20 offspring at a time, of which only about three to five would survive to adulthood. In addition, Chixuan is just a male pup and not a female. I don’t know why you treasure him so much… tsk, you are just weird.”
“He was born from my very own body. His heart, liver, lungs and kidneys all came from me. Why wouldn’t I treasure him? I warn you, continue talking like that and I will cut all ties with you!”

Gu Mengmeng didn’t press on. She just looked at Lea. “What kind of ‘solution’ do you intend to give Cole?”
Lea chuckled. “Stray beasts fear you… so all he has to do is to discard his stray beast status, isn’t that right?”
Gu Mengmeng was perplexed. “What do you mean?”
Lea looked at Wabei. “Just tell everyone that you helped Wabei get rid of his stray beast status, allowing him to partner a female again—wouldn’t that resolve the issue?”
“Will it work? Cole is so crafty. Would he believe it?” Gu Mengmeng was doubtful.
Lea chuckled. “With the successful case of Peter, he will believe it.”
Gu Mengmeng glanced at Wabei. “Shall we find a female to help us in our little act then?”
Lea shook his head. “There will be flaws and gaps if it is just an act, so…”
“You want it to happen for real? Letting a 800-year-old bachelor like Wabei fall in love with some female and then getting rid of his stray beast status like Peter?” Gu Mengmeng’s eyes were nearly popping out. She really felt the possibility of that happening was even lower than a comet colliding into earth.
