Ying Ying typed quickly and efficiently in the speed of a cheetah chasing its prey,

" 1. At all times, you and everyone else cannot go through my belongings.

2. Nobody is allowed to ask about my whereabouts and where I am going. I am solely living under your protection and am not a prisoner.

I will not get any friendlier with you guys.

3. You can't prevent from me visiting Hen Qing and my husband at any time.

4. You can't track or follow me to anywhere I go.

5. Although I will be under your family and your care, I do not need to associate myself with any members unless I'm willing to.

If you agree to the conditions above and will accept any future add-on conditions, I might have to protect my rights, then I can be at ease in your care. I know you need me for a reason or else you wouldn't offer to protect me like this. I won't ask you your reason, and you won't ask me about mine."

After reading her text, Ya Nuo agreed, but she also had some conditions of her own.

"I can agree to the conditions that you listed because most of them are related to your private rights as an individual, but I also have some conditions that you must comply.

1. I will let my family know that you will be staying here, but you must not act rude or arrogant to any of them. You can do anything as long as it isn't against our house rules.

2. You can visit whoever you like, but they cannot visit you since I do not want strangers coming into my house.

3. You cannot put any of my family members in danger. Meaning, don't go out with them alone. You'll never know if you're being followed.

4. After you visit someone or go somewhere, walk a few circles and not straight back to my house. This way you can lose any person or people who decides to follow you. Also, do not tell, anyone where you live.

5. You can keep your little secrets or huge ones; I don't care. I only hope that whatever happens or if you have any suspicions, then you will let me know right away before you take any reckless actions.

The rest is the same as what you just said. I set out my conditions and may add on to it later. I think it is pretty fair. What do you think?"

Ying Ying listened attentively to each word that Ya Nuo had said. She held out her hand and nodded her head as a sign of hoping that they would be able to go through all this chaos in peace.

While the trio enjoyed the rest of their tea time, they hadn't noticed that somebody has been watching them since the beginning. Hen Qing had been following the trio since she saw Ya Nuo and Huan Hei act weird and turned into an alleyway. She knew it was a dead-end, so she was curious on what they were up to.

What she saw frightened her to death and the only part she heard was when one of the men ratted Gu Wing's name out. After that, she hid further away because the two men ran out as quickly as possible and she didn't want the hooligans to catch her eavesdropping.

At first, she thought that it would be nice spreading some rumors about Ya Nuo having indecent relations with hooligans, but she recognized the victim as her mother. Her page of awful ideas quickly erased to a blank piece of paper. 'Mom?! And Ya Nuo... those hooligans!!! What are they doing? Why? Who is Gu Wing?'

She couldn't hear the rest of the conversation since she had to move away before the two men notice her on their way out. She hid in a corner and spaced out to where the two men ran off towards. She was afraid that they would come back with a gang of buddies to settle their embarrassment.

When she felt it was safe enough to come out of her hiding spot, she saw her mother and the couple walking as a group. Once again, curiosity filled up her thoughts. She followed them with half a block distance, and they didn't see her. She could barely hear their conversation from where she was sitting and her mother could only communicate by typing on her phone, so it was very much impossible to find out what they were talking about.

She regretted not taking a lip reading class. If she did, then she could at least get 30%, no, at least some kind of clue on what they were secretly talking about.

Learning that she will not gain any information being there, she quickly paid her bill and left before anyone noticed her existence.

That night, when Ying Ying got home, she had ten bags of groceries hanging on both arms. She immediately went to prepare dinner but didn't go upstairs to check up on Hen Qing. Finally, Hen Wing couldn't help it and walked downstairs.

"Mom? You're back!" she sounded sweet as an angel's melted honey drop voice.

Ying Ying smiled seeing Hen Qing's energetic self. "Hurry and wash up. Dinner is ready." Ying Ying pointed at the bar of soap and sink by the kitchen.

"Yes. Yes~" Hen Qing acted like an obedient child and even let Ying Ying check her hands after she had washed them.

During dinner, Hen Qing asked her, "Mom, what did you do today? Did you see anyone and got delayed? You came home later than usual. I got worried!"

Ying Ying placed a bowl of vegetable soup in front of Hen Qing, "Nothing much. There was a sale at the supermarket, so I went to grab the cheap deals. Also, I have something I want to talk to you about after dinner."

"Okay," she sounded slightly disappointed in Ying Ying's response. 'Mom, why did you lie?'

After dinner, Ying Ying told Hen Qing that because of income shortage reasons, she will need to work for a rich family. One of the requirements of this job is that she needs to live in their house, and no visitors are allowed. She also cannot tell where she is working and who she's working for.

Hen Qing squeezed her mother's hand, "Mom, dad left us some money already. We can live on the money for a while!"

"Silly child, that is money for your college tuition. We can't use that." Ying Ying caressed Hen Qing's pouting face, and continued typing."Besides, I want to earn extra money after that incident. I came back alive, but who knows what will happen the next time? If anything ever happens to me, I want to make sure that my daughter won't have to worry about money and can live her life as free as possible. Understand?" She tried to sound as convincing as possible.

"But I don't want to live separated from you!! I don't have dad around and now it will feel like I don't have a mom! I want to live with you until I go off to college! Just...a month left. Please." She challenged, refusing "no," as an answer.

"I've already made this decision. I will try to wait until after your graduation, but whether it is now or later, I'm still going to take up this job." Ying Ying was strict and decisive that Hen Qing could not get a guarantee promise from her.

'Mom! What are you hiding from me? Is it really just work? Why were you with Yang Ya Nuo and Huan Hei? Why won't you tell me?'
