When they walked downstairs, Ya Nuo nervously bit her lower lip and tightened her grip on Nana's hands. Seeing that she's nervous, Nana whispered, "Don't be scared, your family wont bite. They'll love you lots and give you hugs. Trust me."
Ya Nuo nodded and followed them to the living room. When she entered, she saw two familiar faces.
"Senior Qi Yang? and.. Grandpa Hoon? Why are you two here?"
Qi Yang and Grandpa Hoon walked up to her and smiled, "Silly, because we are your family. I'm your biological brother and he's your grandpa. real grandpa"
"Huh..??"
Nana walked away to let them have their moment.
Qi Yang: "You're my little sister and I'm your big brother. From now on, nobody can bully you. I'll beat them all up for you."
Grandpa Hoon: "Grandpa didn't have the chance to dote on you for all these years. Don't worry, from now on, tell grandpa whatever you want, need, or who dares bully you. I should've noticed it earlier, but who would've thought that the granddaughter that I've wanted to meet all along had been by my side?"
Ya NUo: "...so... Senior Qi Yang... you're my big brother.. and Grandpa Hoon is ... my grandpa."

Ya Nuo looked at the couch direction and saw an elegant woman, whose skin looked healthy and youthful even though she was in her early 40's. She wore a light blue dress that accentuated her curves. Her hair was styled to a half updo and it was obvious that her hair was recently done. The woman covered her nose and mouth as mist filled her eyes. Her husband stood up and wiped the corner of his eyes before hugging his wife by the waist and walked to Ya Nuo.
Ya Nuo: "You are... mom.. and you're dad?" From the moment this couple entered her eyesight, she already knew where her cute and handsome features came from. 'No wonder I never looked like Yang Qiu Rei. I always thought that maybe I had a pretty mother, but damn, my father is a lady killer with those looks. That explains my nice side profile.'
The woman couldn't control her tears and was trembling as she held Ya Nuo's hands and kissed it gently. She choked on her words when she looked at Ya Nuo and caressed her small face, "I..I'm sorry. Mommy.. didn't protect you well. You suffered a lot..."
Ya Nuo shook her head and gave her best smile, "It's nobody's fault, but Yang Qiu Rei's. If anyone had the heart to do something, even if you had the highest precaution, it would still happen. I don't blame you at all. I've always.. always wondered how a mother's warmth feels like and today, I finally get to hug my parents. It's very warm and comfortable."
Ya Nuo's father hugged both his wife and daughter while patting their backs to comfort them. After a few minutes, Qi Yang and Grandpa Hoon shrugged and joined their small group hug.
Ya Nuo's stomach growled and everyone laughed.
Zhi Hei: "Let's have dinner and celebrate. You need energy for reunions and story time later."
During dinner, Ya Nuo's bowl and plate were full of food.
"This is more than enough for me. You guys should eat too."
It was a harmonious and joyful dinner where everyone had a smile on their faces and laughed heartily. After dinner, both families gathered in the living room again and sat down to talk.
"Ya Nuo, tell mommy and daddy how you were for the past years. We will write everything that he's done to you and return it to him tenfold."
Ya Nuo chose her words carefully, "I was living in a cold attic that was locked every night to prevent me from sneaking out. Fortunately, the maids and butlers who worked in the house treated me nicely or else I would've died in the cold or been starved to death. During the day I was trained to clean the house and wash the dishes. That jerk never liked seeing me so I had to avoid showing up in front of him or else I would get beaten by him. His second wife liked to cause trouble for me when she feels like it. She would break things around the house and frame me for her doings just to see me beat up by him. Whenever his business ended in a loss and he gets drunk, he abused me using whips or other weapons. I was too young to run away and felt helpless so I endured him for those years. The police and local government officials had connections with him so I couldn't get help from them either. I felt really grateful meeting this guy who is now my boyfriend, Xu Huan Hei, because he was the one who brought me to Grandpa Hoon.. I mean Grandpa when I was helpless. I sneak out sometimes during the day when Yang Qiu Rei was working and I enjoyed running around the tracks. That was the only time I felt free and happy.
