Gao Lan Mei is not looking forward to dealing with the second prince. For her, he is just a mere puppet as he is being controlled by a woman. A deceitful, selfish woman.

If a man uses his manhood to do the thinking, why bother walking around pretending to be so dignified when all he knows is the art of lovemaking?

A proof that the second prince is so simple-minded can be seen on how he had his royal guards protect a brothel in a very unstrategic manner.

He may as well put up a sign that whatever's in it is very important to him for all the Shizi empire to see.

That also proves that the second prince is not smart enough. Is this part of his brilliant way to win the throne? Gao Lan Mei wondered.

For Gao Lan Mei, it's advantageous for the second prince can continue to act like this. It's too much work and effort to deal with a smart enemy anyway.

"Get out! We will call the authorities if you come here again!"

In front of the medical pavilion, the shop helper rudely shouted at the old man. The old man looks like a beggar. His old robes were dirty and very tattered.

"Ah! Ah! Um!" The sounds coming out of the old man's mouth is very incoherent. He is trying to say something despite being mute.

He was also making gestures using his hands that may mean something, but the shop helper cannot understand it. He also keeps on pointing at something inside the medical pavilion.

"Give him a paper and a thin piece of charcoal." Gao Lan Mei said to Gao Chu.

The shop helper was not far and heard what Gao Lan Mei said. This made his face red. Why did he not think of that earlier?

This old mute beggar has been trying to tell them something since earlier and this has already created a disturbance in the medical pavilion.

Though that is the case, no one thought of this simple solution to help decipher what the old beggar is trying to say.

Wait. Can this beggar even write? The shop helper thought to himself and smirked. He realized that it is highly possible that this beggar is not educated.

He has been in the medical pavilion for more than three years. He is aware that old mute beggar has been staying in the alley at the back of the medical pavilion since his day one.

He was planning on to tell everyone that this beggar cannot write to shame the young woman wearing the face veil, but before he was able to do so, the old mute beggar started to write quickly on the paper using a small piece of charcoal.

After he finished writing, he gave the paper to Gao Lan Mei.

She did not expect the old mute beggar to give the paper to her. He is now gesturing for her to quickly read what he wrote down.

"The walnuts are poisonous." Gao Lan Mei read the words on the paper aloud. Loud enough for two or three people near her to hear.

"Impossible!" Shopkeeper Yu exclaimed. The people who heard it gasped as well.

The shopkeeper just arrived at the scene. He decided to see what was going on with the crowd in front of the medical pavilion.

As soon as he was able to go closer to the shop helper, he heard what Gao Lan Mei said.

With the owner currently in the third level, who knows if he is in the bad mood and decided to dismiss him just because it was noisy.

He quickly tried to snatch the paper that the young woman is holding, but he was not successful.

"Miss! Why are you not giving me the paper?! Are you lying?" Shopkeeper Yu's face is black.

This damned girl! It is easier to manipulate the crowd's opinion if he is the one holding the chips!

"Lying? I just read exactly what's written on this paper. It's up to you if you want to believe it or not. This paper is not mine. So, ask the old beggar if he wants me to give this paper to you."

How could Gao Lan Mei not know what shopkeeper Yu's thinking, but that is not her problem?

The old mute beggar chose to give the paper to her, so she will have the beggar decide on what to do with it.
