Seraph's loud shout reverberated throughout the spacious tent and halted some of the battles. Joe looked over whilst in the middle of his fight and couldn't help scrutinize Charlie, who was someone he knew that Caesar detested.

The others, on the other hand, fully trusted Charlie, as he was the son of Faust, the most loyal, and hardworking clan head. He didn't even mind when Caesar took the clan leader position, making him quite respected throughout the clan. Naturally, Charlie, who rode on his father's coattails also garnered some respect.

As such, the battles once again continued, however, Joe clutched his axe even harder as he glanced between Charlie and his current opponent. His foe was a lanky man with a mask covering his face, presumably a skilled assassin. He wielded two daggers coated with poison and Joe had to be extremely careful to not get sliced.

Ahri patted Seraph on the head and stood up from the bed while observing Charlie, who was her best friend. She trusted him, however, she knew that Caesar disliked him, and also didn't trust him. Thus, she couldn't help but look at him weirdly for a moment.

"After one of the larger battles, Caesar had caught sight of some cloaked assassins disengaging from the fight and heading in your direction, thus, he sent me to follow them and help you," Charlie explained with a small stream of sweat dripping from his back.

"Is that so?" Ahri asked strangely as she walked a bit closer to Charlie, doubt reflecting in her eyes. She believed that Charlie was the last person Caesar would send to help her, thus, she didn't quite believe Charlie's story.

And as expected, Charlie's hand, similar to a snake, grabbed her wrist once she got closer and pulled her back. This sight was caught by Joe who immediately tried rushing towards her, but got slashed in the back, instead.

Joe, unable to turn his back on his foe, and the others also fully attentive to their battle, were not capable of helping Ahri, who was just grabbed by Charlie. His expression was cold as he threw her out of the tent where two other assassins awaited.

As he threw her, he couldn't help but glance at her expression. Surprise flashed through his eyes as he saw her completely angry look. Her violet hair seemed to fluctuate a tad bit and rise into the air, while her tails punctured her dress.

While still flying through the air, Ahri's four graceful and luscious tails fully showcased themselves. The mana contained in each one was extraordinary and the two assassins that her body was flung towards started sweating profusely.

She then beautifully flipped through the air and a darkish blue aura started to permeate from her body, "I am so tired of being looked at as some kind of weak princess… My grandfather, my husband, and even my close friends. I AM NOT WEAK!" she roared and an extremely hot, darkish blue flame descended upon the two assassins.

It streaked across the night sky at an alarming speed and the assassins, who were still shocked, didn't have time to dodge it. It seemed to pass through their clothes and instantly disintegrate them. They didn't even let out a scream before falling to Ahri's mysterious and powerful flames.

"I am the granddaughter of Musashi, the strongest member of the fox-kin and the previous leader. The holder of the legendary and mythical nine-tailed fox bloodline and wife of the current clan leader… How dare you underestimate me." Ahri whispered with a strong flame growing in her eyes. Perhaps, it had been far too long since she had gone all out in battle.

Her strong aura and appearance shocked the assassins, but more so Joe and the other fox-kin warriors. Since Musashi had never let Ahri fight, her strength was deeply hidden under wraps, so no one was fully aware of her true strength besides maybe Caesar.

Her darkish blue flames coiled around her body and caused her long hair to flutter in the night. She turned her head towards Charlie and disappointment appeared within her eyes as she scrutinized him. He was undoubtfully her best friend, however, she would choose the clan over him in a heartbeat.

"Why? You used to aspire to be a clan head, just like your father… why did you defect?" Ahri asked with a tilt of her head as she slowly approached Charlie. Although she tried to act calm, the anger hidden in her voice was evident to all of those present.

"Why? Because your grandfather was useless… he just watched as his clan became infested with spies and other useless trash, all he had to do was simply promote my father to the clan leader, but I got tired of waiting!" Charlie roared incoherently and pulled out both of his daggers.

"Hpmh, without my grandfather, this clan would've never have lived this long, and Caesar wouldn't have ever arrived to fix our mess!" Ahri rebutted and shot her flames at Charlie. He was a mere youngster and not even yet on a clan-head level, thus, he was forced to continuously dodge Ahri's flames, albeit, barely.

He slightly dodged the streaks of flame and began to sweat profusely. He glanced to the left for help, however, the assassins were being held up by the guards and other fox-kin warriors stationed to protect the citizens.

"Please, just wait for a minute and hear me out! I-I can help the clan with my information!" Charlie screamed out in fear and kneeled on the ground, begging for mercy. A cold glint was reflected in his eyes as he gazed at the ground.

Ahri temporarily halted her flames and scrutinized the kneeling charlie for a few moments before walking a bit closer. Anger was still reflected in her eyes as her hair wildly fluttered in the air, peering down at Charlie as if he were an insect.

She closed her eyes for a moment and an indiscernible tear fell from her right eye as she raised her right hand, "I'm sorry Charlie, but If I want to stand by his side, I can't continue being the same warm-hearted girl" she said softly before raining down flame upon Charlies figure.

He looked up in shock and fear, he had never thought that she would dare kill him, but it was too late. The flames reached his body and immediately burned him to a crisp, leaving only a hollow scream left.

"I refuse to be the damsel in distress… I am fully capable of standing on my two feet and handling anything you send at me!" She spoke bitterly and turned her head toward the remaining assassins… a sharp killing intent radiating from her body.

*************

At another side of the dark continent, Caesar stood in front of an iron gate, fully armored up and his scythe resting on his shoulder. Many fox-kin men and women standing behind him as they peered at the neverending troll army just a few dozen meters away from them.

"Tonight, we'll dine in hell…" Caesar whispered to the army behind him and raised his fist in the air.
