Both Caesar and Joe leisurely strolled down the stone roads, looking for a bar and pet-shop. Their figures were quite contradictory with each other, so they naturally garnered the eye of a few passing pedestrians. Though, the streets were far too bustling for anyone actually to stop and converse with them.

There were all kinds of different attractions, whether it was the stables, barracks, or even clothing shops. All of which caught Caesar's eye, but he remained true to his initial goal. It took them around five minutes until they finally found a bar at the corner of the street.

The walls were painted in a deep shade of violet, attracting all kinds of visitors to its beauty. Two lanterns elegantly flickered by the door, even though the sun was out. A small stream of customers could be seen walking in and out of the store at sporadic intervals.

The pub was beautiful, and Caesar didn't hesitate to approach it with Joe following behind him. Although he didn't plan on getting drunk, he thought it would be rather entertaining to listen to some of Joe's stories. After all, there was still a lot of information that Joe had never explained to Caesar, especially his childhood.

Caesar pushed the wooden doors aside, entering the bar with large strides. The interior didn't lose out to the outside appearance in the slightest. Booths topped with burgundy leather lined the sides of the pub, while artistic, white stools occupied the bar and bartender. Unlike the tavern they stayed at, the customers here were much richer and pleasing to the eye.

Most of the men adorned suits of some sort, and the women wore dresses and expensive jewelry. The bartender skillfully blended a few drinks and put on quite the show for the spectators, even managing to impress both Joe and Caesar.

"I'm quite impressed with the view. How about you?" Caesar asked, turning toward Joe with a small smile playing on his lips.

"I don't care about what it looks like; I'm just interested in how their alcohol tastes!" He replied in a quick huff, walking toward the bar with sparkles in his eyes. Caesar followed behind the foolish dwarf and ordered two drinks, which Caesar was unfamiliar with.

After tasting the flame-nectar back at the dark continent, Caesar was careful whenever he consumed alcohol. Although some of the drinks reminded him of certain blends back on earth, they were still some distinct differences, such as the potency. He sipped the icy-blue liquid from the glass, moving it around with his tongue, tasting the flavor.

It possessed an ice-cold citrus flavor, perfect for hot days. Caesar enjoyed the taste and decided to experience the "frozen mermaid" beverage slowly. On the other hand, Joe ordered a few drinks at a time, downing them in one gulp, becoming red in the face within minutes. Unlike humans, dwarves were unlikely to vomit or become sick due to alcohol poisoning, so they were capable of drinking however much they so pleased.

No one bothered the two as they drank, and Caesar didn't spark up a conversation until an hour had nearly passed. Joe was already wasted, and quite delirious, perfect for asking questions and teasing.

"Joe, before you were imprisoned in Rahvin kingdom, where did you live? If you don't mind me asking, of course." Caesar subtly asked, glancing at Joe's drunken figure with the corner of his eye.

"Live?" Joe asked, chuckling, "In the mountains, with my brethren… but they forced me to leave and enter the human kingdoms without any clue on how to survive. They even crippled my right shoulder, rendering me useless in the forge."

"I never lived before now. I was just a mere tool, waiting to be thrown out." Joe continued with a self-deprecating smile, guzzling the remnants of his drink. Even though he was always outwardly happy, he too, possessed his own inner demons.

Caesar nodded his head and finished his drink, paying the bartender for their expenditure at the same time. A few golden coins were flicked onto the table, which were quickly seized by the nearby waitresses. Caesar let Joe on his back and walked out of the pub, they had enough fun for the day, and Joe was beginning to fall asleep anyway.

They had only been at the bar for around an hour and a half, but it was enough for the small dwarf to become drunk. Caesar was more responsible, so he escorted Joe back to the tavern, letting him sleep off his intoxication. He also put down a set of clean blankets for the gorgeous cat he had yet to name. It purred happily as it rolled around, nuzzling its nose against Caesar's leg.

He stroked the skinny cat, peering into its green eyes. He had never raised an animal in his past life, nor a child, so he was experiencing quite a lot of new things. His heart which was incapable of emotion was beginning to change. Whether it was good or bad, even Caesar wasn't sure.

If there was one thing his damnable father taught him in the past, it was that it didn't matter how things were done, as long as they were completed. It was the result that mattered, not the process. As long as he won, Caesar didn't care about anything else.

From a young age, it was drilled into Caesar to be the best. No matter what it was, if he wasn't number one, then it didn't matter. If he wasn't capable, then give up on it. That is until his own family turned on him. Later, he became a heartless monster that worshiped money.

A deep sigh escaped from his lips as he stood up, gently pushing the cat away. He was done reminiscing about his past and decided to prepare for the meeting tomorrow night. If everything went the way that he wanted, then a few waves will be created.

He grabbed the thick robes and mask that were in his closet and placed them inside of his storage ring. He then stripped and entered his bed, pulling the covers over his body.
