The entire battle paused as everyone's eyes focused on the battle between Caesar, Richard, and Anna. the black mist escaping from Caesar's body was very ominous and eye-catching Causing everyone to hold their breaths.
"What the hell is this evil feeling" Richard whispered under his breath and looked at Caesar with fear in his eyes.
Caesar put his left foot forward and raised his spear above his right shoulder, he pulled his arm back and threw with all of his might.
*WHISH*
The spear pierced through the air and aimed straight at Richard.
"RICHARD, WATCH OUT!" Anna yelled anxiously
Hearing Anna's shout Richard finally broke out of his stupor and evaded to the left… but the spear traveled to fast, dread flashed in Richard's eyes.
*puch*
The spear directly pierced Richard's shoulder and exited out the back, blood started to continuously flow out of his shoulder without an end in sight.
"R-RICHARD, ARE YOU OKAY?" Anna cried out in shock.
"You have no time to worry about others little girl" A cold voice suddenly rang behind her, she tried turning her head in shock but it was too late.
All Anna could see was a pale white hand with beautiful long nails inches away from her face… just as the black mist was about to touch her a white light blocked Caesar's hand.
"The church told me to only use this power in dire circumstances, I suppose this is dire right? Haha" Richard said in a cheerful voice from behind Anna.
A white light circled around his hand, it was the exact opposite of Caesar's ominous presence, the white light made everyone feel calm and peaceful.
Richard placed his hand that was illuminated by the light on his shoulder and the wound started to visibly close.
"H-Holy affinity!" Anna and a few other soldiers around them called out in shock
Caesar's eyes squinted dangerously as he rushed towards Richard, this time he controlled the black mist to condense into a single spear… He stabbed the spear in the direction of Richards' heart.
Richard also enveloped his sword in the white light and stabbed out with his sword.
*CLASH*
The two weapons clashed together causing a huge amount of wind and tremors within a large vicinity.
The stalemate only lasted for a few seconds before the darkness around Caesar's spear started to eat away the light.
"Even light cannot escape the darkness," Caesar said lightly as he pushed forward.
"H-HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, I HAVE THE STRONGEST AFFINITY?" Richard howled out in disbelief.
Anna quickly raised her hands to send out wind blasts to stop Caesar but to no avail, they didn't even make him move an inch.
*CRACK*
The sword in Richards' hand started to crack and giant fissures appeared in the middle of it, "no..no..no..NO, THIS CAN'T BE" Richard's voice contained fear.
*PUCH*
The black spear broke through the sword and directly punctured through Richards abdomen… Richards eyes nearly popped out of his skull in shock.
Richard's body which was once full of vitality slowly withered at a visible rate, his once colorful hair soon turned white and his tanned skin turned pale… wrinkles started appearing on his face.
In seconds his youthful body turned into that of an old man, but the withering didn't stop. His old body soon turned into just bones and collapsed.
*crack*
The bones fell to the ground and cracked, the entire battlefield was enveloped with silence and fear.
"R-Richard?" Anna called out with sorrow
Caesar stepped away from the corpse and looked at Anna "you should have never attacked my kingdom if you didn't have the resolve to lose everything" he said quietly
"Y-YOU MONSTER, HOW DARE YOU KILL RICHARD. YOU TOOK MY FATHER, MY BROTHER AND NOW MY LOVER?" tears started falling out of her eyes.
Caesar watched this scene quietly… "you have killed many of my men, they had families and lovers just as you did. When you marched here with your 10000 elves did you ever think about how many families you were going to destroy just because you wanted revenge for yours?"
Caesar slowly stepped towards the desolate girl "you are not evil little girl, If I had met you in a different situation perhaps we could have been friends… however, because you are my enemy I will show you no mercy"
With Caesar's words the rest of the battlefield continued, the knight's pushed forward and the enemy soldiers constantly rushed at the knights.
*step*
"All of the sadness, fear, and anger… Let it out" Caesar said quietly as he slowly walked towards Anna.
Nearby elves immediately rushed to the front of Anna Shielding her, they looked at Caesar warily.
"We won't let you harm her!" they cried out and rushed towards Caesar.
Caesar suddenly launched off the ground and punched one of the elves in the stomach, he grabbed the elves hair and launched him towards another one. He stepped forward one last time grabbed the last elf by the neck.
"W-what speed" the elf barely let out a few words before Caesar broke his neck.
*plop*
The body fell to the ground lifeless, Caesar continued moving towards Anna… Caesar never killed anyone on earth but ever since he changed into a vampire, killing and battle instincts came naturally to him.
"RETREAT AND GROUP UP!!!" an enemy general roared
The roar brought life back into Anna's eyes, she looked at Caesar that was walking towards her and said through gritted teeth "I will get my revenge!"
The girl ran away using wind magic to amplify her speed, seeing this Caesar didn't chase but instead walked back into the kingdom.
"We have won the battle but not the war, someone go get the doctors and chefs!" Caesar roared once he walked inside the kingdom gates.
A few soldiers immediately rushed to the palace to call for doctors and chef's, soon a captain walked towards Caesar with a sad expression.
"Reporting marshall, we have lost 500 of the knights and 300 archers… we have over 200 knights and around 100 archer with injuries."
Caesar stroked his chin in contemplation "It may not seem like much of a great number but considering our already low number this is a big blow…" he thought inwardly
"Thank you for your report, go get yourself some food," Caesar said to the captain and walked away
"Yes, Marshall!"

"Status report, we have lost 6500 infantry, 38 wyvern riders, and 2000 elves."
"God damn it! They caught us off guard" The middle-aged general ground his teeth in anger.
"What are we going to do general?"
"Hmph, I thought it was going to be an easy battle. That's why I attacked so mindlessly in the first place, this kingdom probably doesn't have much food left… Just surround the kingdom and they will starve to death haha" the middle-aged man laughed sinisterly
"I will relay your orders to the troops"

Caesar walked to the top of the walls and peered down at the enemy troops starting to surround their kingdom… "damn, looks like they have a decent general themselves" he muttered under his breath.

"Y-YOUR HOLINESS, SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAS HAPPENED"
The pope sat off his chair and asked in an anxious tone "What has happened to make you so anxious?"
"R-Richard's life force has disappeared"
"WHAT? HOW CAN THIS BE? INVESTIGATE NOW!"
The man quickly left the pope's presence and the pope sat back down in his chair while contemplating "damn, another failure… I guess I need to make the next one" he said as he pushed a button on his throne and a staircase appeared below his throne.

The pope walked down the long stairs and entered into a secluded room, inside there was an instructor teaching a young child.
"The church is always right"
"The church is never wrong"
"You must always fight for the church even in death"
"For you are the hero that brings peace to the world"
The child was just absentmindedly nodding with a blank look in her eyes…
The pope walked closer to the child and shock filled his eyes "wow, this one's holy affinity is much stronger than the last one!"
The instructor suddenly laughed sinisterly "she is also a beauty"
