The sound of the drum being hit twice echoed throughout the encampment, the knights put on their armor and equipped their swords as they rushed out. The knights lined up where Caesar was and got into battle formation.
"What is that?"
"Why are there so many elves this isn't what we were told!"
Caesar stood up at the front and squinted his eyes, he turned around and faced his soldiers that were currently filled with dread.
"Knights, we were not briefed about this amount of elves, nor were we told about that flying monster" Caesar yelled with a stern tone
He paused for a second and continued
"However if these elves make it passed us what do you think will happen to the kingdom? Our families? Some of us will die here today but we will be remembered for eternity!"
Caesar put his hand in the air
"If you wish to run away you can do so and I will not look down on you… However If you wish to fight and stand with me I promise you endless glory"
The soldier were silent for a moment but soon as if a fire was lit in their souls
"AHHHHH"
"FOR THE KING"
"I WILL NOT RETREAT"
The men roared as loud as they could, they were even louder than the 3000 or so elves rushing at them.
Caesar turned around and looked towards the elven army while contemplating "if that monster attacks the elves and not us we have a chance….. I also only need 5% more to evolve" thinking to here Caesar unsheathed both of his swords at the same time and pointed them down towards the elves.
"CHAAAAAARGE"
Caesar roared out as he urged his horse to rush down, the Knights behind him also started rushing down alongside of him… The archers stood behind and fired arrows at the elves in the back…
"Clak"
"Clak"
The sound of hooves and footsteps hitting the ground echoed across the battlefield, Caesar and his men kicked up a huge dust cloud as they rushed towards the elven soldiers…. They moved like an arrowhead, all of the soldiers had resolve and fighting spirit showing on their expression as they rushed down.
The elves didn't just sit around and do nothing, Anduin ordered a few hundred archers
"Fire at their General!"
"As you command king!"
The elven archers started knocking the arrows on their elven bows as they were running forward…. The elven men aimed at the forefront of the upcoming army and fired.
"Peeew"
"Peeew"
The amount of arrows looked like they blotted out the sun as they shot towards Caesar and his army travelling at fast speeds.
"SHIELDS UP" Caesar roared, The soldiers did as Caesar ordered and put their shields up, Caesar didn't have a shield so he tightened his grip on both of his swords and got in a fighting stance.
"BRACE FOR IMPACT"
"Clank"
"Thud"
The arrows landed on to their formation, the shields managed to block most of the arrows but some broke through their formation… Caesar's hands were creating mirror images they were moving so fast, he sliced the arrows that were shot at him in half at amazing speeds.
"Puch"
"Puch"
Unfortunately the sheer amount was more than Caesar could handle, he was penetrated in the shoulder and lower abdomen…
"Argggg"
Caesar growled as he gritted his teeth and charged forward…. Soon they were just meters away from the elven army.

Anduin roared towards the elves, "SPEARS UP" but it was too late

"CRASH"
With Caesar at the forefront the elven front lines collapsed nearly immediately, Caesars army flooded into their formation, Caesar raised his swords and beheaded as much elves as he could while seated on his horse.
"DIE YOU BASTARD" An elf roared as he thrusted his spear towards Caesars chest, Caesar blocked the spear with his left sword and then thrusted his right sword into the elves eye socket.
"Splurt"
Blood splattered on to Caesars face as the elven male fell to the ground… Caesar didn't have time to wipe the blood on his face and targeted the next elf.
At this time a huge screech was heard at the back of the elven formation. Caesar looked up and saw the monster… It had the body of a gigantic lion and the head and wings of an eagle… Its front two legs were talons.
"A gryphon…?" Caesar muttered in shock. A gryphon was an A rank monster in this world, something that with his current power couldn't handle.
The moment Caesar wasn't paying attention a blast of wind knocked him off of his horse… Caesar twisted in mid air to land on his feet and raised his eyes to see the person that used magic on him.
A beautiful lady with white hair and green eyes was glaring down at him she opened her lips and said
"You foolish human, you have caused so much death.. .y-you even killed my brother Aladin" She said with an angry tone.
"Which one was your brother?" Caesar yelled out while laughing
""Y-you BASTARD! Ill kill you" The woman yelled out as she was about to attack her father stopped her.
"Father? What is your meaning"
"Take the rest of our people and flee, flee to our allies in the east…. They will keep you safe, especially with your talent"
"B-but father" Anna looked as though she was about to cry
"GO, NOW!"
"Y-yes father" Anna quickly ran away while gather the rest of the elven soldiers to retreat…. Caesar used this time to roar at his troops as well.
"RETREAT BACK TO THE ENCAMPMENT"
"YES SIR"
Caesar looked towards Anduin and the Gryphon that was heading towards them and laughed…
"That was quite touching, your sacrifice almost makes me want to cry"
"You act as though this place won't be a burial for both of us"
Caesar didn't respond to him and rushed forward, He closed the distance between the two of them in a manner of seconds. Caesar raised his right sword and swung down, Anduin raised his blade and parried Caesars sword. He stabbed towards Caesars heart right after.
Caesar raised his left sword and blocked the thrust, Caesar lifted his right leg and kicked Anduin in the stomach.
"Thud"
Anduin was kicked a few meters back, blood was trailing down his mouth as he smiled. "Your physical strength is immense, but you don't have any inner strength. Are you really human?"
"As human as you can be" Caesar said as he rushed towards Anduin again… The gryphon was closing in at a fast speed, It did not chase the Retreating elves nor Caesars army but instead was attracted towards Anduin's and Caesar's duel.
"Clang"
"Clang"
Sparks flew repeatedly as Caesar's and Anduin's swords clashed…. Their hands were both moving fast, it looked as though their swords turned into a blur… Their swords hit each other 10 times… 50 times… 100 times…. In a manner of seconds both of their stamina was gradually depleting.
Suddenly a frosty mist started coiling around both of Caesars swords… Anduin look bewildered at Caesar's swords.
"Hey I thought of this move just now… I call it enchantment" Caesar laughed wildly as he rushed. Caesars blood was boiling to the extreme, his animalistic instincts had fully taken control over him.
Caesar rushed over towards Anduin at a faster speed than last time… He raised his right sword and struck down with all of his might.
"CLANG"
The sound of two swords hitting each other echoed through the battlefield, Anduin blocked with his sword however the force of the hit made Anduin's feet cave into the ground.
Caesar wasn't finished, He raised both of his swords again and started raining down hits on Anduin… All Anduin could do was block he didn't have time for anything else.
The gryphon soon reached the location of the two but sat there like it was waiting for a victor to emerge...
Anduin was gritting his teeth in pain, the blows rained down now stop not giving him any room to breathe.
The rest of the elves that retreated were watching this scene with their great eyesight, they were all praying for their lord to win. Anna was biting her lip with tears about to escape her eyes as she watched her father in a dire situation. She couldn't hold back anymore and screamed out.
"YOU CAN DO IT FATHER!!!!"
Anna made her voice travel further with her wind magic and the sound soon traveled into both Caesar's and Anduin's ears.
Anduin's eyes turned bloodshot as he roared…
"I WILL NOT LOSE TO YOU"
Anduin started pushing back, he walked one step at time very slowly. He had long passed his physical limits and was moving with his sheer will power.
The elves seeing this scene started roaring with excitement….
"I..WILL...NOT...YIELD...TO...YOU!!!!" Anduin barely muttered as he closed the distance between them with one final step and stabbed forward with his sword.
"Puch"
The sword stabbed through Caesars abdomen, because of Caesars previous arrow wounds he had lost too much blood alongside the strain of clashing with anduin time and time again he was already out of stamina.
Anduin soon lost all strength as he muttered "I did it…" with relief.
Anna seeing this scene smiled and nearly dazed all of the elves nearby with it's beauty… However soon their expressions of bliss was replaced by one of shock.
Caesar grabbed the sword that pierced him and moved forward to the strengthless Anduin until his mouth was in his ear.
"Is this what it feels like to be a villain?" Caesar said has be coughed up some blood.
"You bastard how are you still alive"
"It's nothing personal elf."
No one at this moment realized that Caesar's piercing yellow eyes were now glowing a blood red, Caesar moved his face near Anduin's neck and his fangs grew in length"
"Gulp"
His fangs penetrated Anduin's neck, Caesar sucked in blood as quickly as he could… Like a dehydrated man given water. Anduin felt although his life was draining away. The last thing he could mutter was….
"I thought you were all extinct…."
Caesar's wounds started closing at a visible rate… The sword that impaled him was pushed out of his body and the hole in his abdomen was closed up. A sound soon rang in Caesars head
