Wu let her body relax as rational thinking returned to her. She scooted her chair back to her desk and tried to look intimidating to make up for her shock. "You know I can eat in the physicians lounge? There is also a cafeteria downstairs that I could have at any point today had a nurse or assistant get me food. I could get food delivered by many methods. But, I do appreciate that you went all the way out to do that for me. I haven't really had the time to sit and eat much of anything today."
Nolan grinned from ear to ear when he handed her the freshly made sushi roll. The fish tasted like it had come straight from the ocean. It was seasoned well and was not quite cold. It was nice. She savored the bite in her mouth before taking another from the tray that Nolan had opened. Wu felt a lot less tired than she had before. She knew that it had been due to low blood sugar that she had been feeling down. She didn't need to drown herself in alcohol when she had a nice alternative--good food.
He pulled out a half gallon of corner stone station sweet tea and offered her that with a plastic cup. Wu downed it quickly, but she paused to look at the buffet spread out before her. "Did you bring this for me to eat by myself? Mr. Chen, you know this is way too much food for me to eat by myself. I'll become a patient at this rate instead of a doctor."
