The private jet landed in the distance and Dongmei didn't stop looking at it. The weather was a bit cold but she still stood outside, being exposed to both the noise from all planes as well as the cold wind that constantly blew at her face.

She didn't approach it when the jet circled towards another terminal and only watched. She would still have time to run up to them in case it was actually Wuxing in the plane. From the blank description on the plane's information, Dongmei knew the person flying in it was either a highly ranked political or a Seven Star Member.

Based on the fact that there was a selection very soon, she was definitely betting on a latter. What's more, it was flying directly from Badu City which means high chances of it being Wuxing as well.

Right when the jet stopped, the doors behind her opened and the airport manager walked out of the building to hurry her.

"Miss, the car you ordered is already waiting. If Miss doesn't hurry, the driver will take someone else." He said anxiously. There were many customers waiting for the airport's limousines but she still had the priority as the highest-ranked platinum member. Of course, even though she was one, it didn't mean that she could order a driver before ignoring it for the next thirty minutes.

"Give me a moment. Just two more minutes." Dongmei pleaded politely, not exposing her identity. "I just want to see who is on the plane that just landed."

Dongmei pointed at the jet with her gaze as she wanted to get some information from him, knowing he has probably seen it at some point in his job. Seven Stars headquarters were in the same city so all Seven Stars members travelling by planes were required to land here.

The manager looked at the plane and his eyes momentarily brightened. He naturally recognised it, recalling the two beauties that flew with it every now and then.

"It belongs to two beautiful ladies. One is really cold, having a lot of spice in her but the second is like an angel, always kind and cheerful." The manager described, stopping next to Dongmei to see the beauties.

Just as he did, he felt a glare from to side and realising he was standing too close, the manager took a step back and bowed while giving her a compliment, "Naturally, they can't compare to Miss' beauty."

She didn't comment on that, not caring one bit about other people compliments and simply returned back to watching the plane. The manager also wanted to take a short look at the beauties so he silently agreed to stay and watch for a second.

Unfortunately for Dongmei, the manager wasn't wrong. Right after the metal doors opened, they saw a crimson-haired woman in a red dress and two katanas on her back. At that point, Dongmei knew Wuxing wasn't in that plane as well and she just wasted thirty minutes.

When the second lady came out, the manager nodded happily, satisfied with what he was seeing.

"Miss, can we go now? I told the driver I will bring Miss as quickly as I can. Each minute counts." The manager asked after remembering their true purpose of coming there.

"Mhmm, let's go." Dongmei glanced one last time and seeing no one else coming out, she agreed to leave.

———

"Huh?" Right after leaving the plane, Wuxing's stopped his movements abruptly and focused his eyesight at the distant terminal. For a second he thought he saw someone familiar, someone, who he wanted to see for a very long time. The person's back looked extremely familiar to him.

"Wuxing, are you going? We need to hurry if we want to go out tonight." Anna asked happily as she pulled on his hand, excited to have a date with him. Unfortunately, Wuxing was too focused on his target that he didn't hear her.

"Wait for a second, I need to check something." Wuxing brushed her hand away, giving her an apology kiss on the cheek and ran towards the terminal where Dongmei disappeared to. Even if he was wrong and saw wrongly, he would at least be at ease that he checked.

"What happened to him…?" Anna asked confused as she looked at his back. "He was fine just a moment ago…"

"No idea. You can ask Maya." Katherine said as she shrugged. Sandra was away so she couldn't scan the area.

Anna naturally listened to the advice but surprisingly, Maya didn't help her much.

'Sigh, you will have a direct competition soon…' Maya muttered, not saying anything else. This single word, 'competition' made Anna worried and a plan to follow after Wuxing quickly awakened in her mind but it soon crumbled when she realised he was already gone.

'Damn, why are you never here when I need you!' Wuxing cursed when calling out to Devil Face, he did not receive any reply. Since Sandra took his heart away, him being together with him was a rarity.

Wuxing didn't spot Dongmei anywhere in the lobby after going up the stairs, straight to the second terminal. He had run more than one hundred meters to get there so he figured out the potential Dongmei probably left towards the parking lot already. He didn't wait and rushed through the loud crowd of people without hesitation.

He already mastered the trick of moving through the crowds as smoothly as possible so he quickly passed each group without problems. Just as he was passing the last line, he finally saw her again. She was walking some far away while dragging her luggage behind her. Same hairstyle, same hair-colour, similar black dress, but now that he looked at her, he realised there was something different from what he remembered.

"Excuse me, Miss." He called out to check, just to be sure. The woman turned around and she definitely wasn't his Dongmei. This made him really disappointed and he apologised before she said anything.

"I'm sorry, I thought Miss was someone else."

He didn't wait for her response and instead decided to return.

Too bad, he didn't make more than a step when he heard a conversation of two teenagers passing him and immediately got intrigued.

"That chick from the parking lot was so hot."

"Yeah! Totally! Though, she looked to be too cold. If only she could smile a little, she would be such an angel."

"Look, I took a photo of her."

"Oh! Let me s—" The young man tried to take his friend's phone but someone preceded him and grabbed it first. Before they could react, the person gave it back before running away towards the exit, acting as a national sprinter.

When they looked back at the phone, the picture was gone, together with the men who deleted it.

As the parking lot wasn't that far, Wuxing reached it in no time but looking around, he didn't spot her. Dongmei was nowhere to be seen.

Hu, hu…

Wuxing breathed hurriedly, but he didn't stop running, choosing to push forward, knowing he wasn't wrong. Dongmei was there. He just needed to find her.

Wroom!

Just as he wondered what else to do, he heard the sound of the departing limousine and his legs carried him forward. He didn't know why or how but he knew she was there. The crowd was shocked at him running straight into the road in between of the cars, following after them.

"Dongmei!!!" Wuxing yelled on top of his lugs, hoping to make her notice him from the back seats but to no avail. The limousine didn't stop accelerating.

Did that mean Wuxing should have stopped chasing? Yes.

Did Wuxing listen to the sound of rationality in his brain? Hell No.

One street after another, Wuxing kept up with them thanks to the traffic yet he knew the black limousine was heading to the highway. There was no way he could keep up with them. He was already at the edge, feeling as if his legs were failing from running at full speed for more than a two or three kilometres.

It wasn't surprising he lost his balance and soon fell while rolling on the cold asphalt.

There were only a hundred meters away but with him laying on the ground, the gap was extending even further.

Toot! Toot!

The cars behind Wuxing began honking at him as he didn't even have the energy to stand up, blocking the road for them.

SCREEEEEECH!

Then, a miracle happened. The limousine with Dongmei inside hit the breaks and suddenly halted with the doors at the back opening right after.

It was her. He saw her worried expression as Dongmei ran towards him, throwing her shoes in the sky in the process of the unprepared sprint.

Wuxing didn't know where he got the energy or how he resisted the pain, but in the next second, he found himself walking towards her. The will to hold her in his arms just a little bit earlier was too strong.

"Ah!" He heard her exclaim in happiness before something warm embraced him, tightly squeezing his neck.

"I missed you…" He managed to mutter, despite being extremely tired and she replied by tightening her hug even more.

Toot, toot!

They had a perfect moment, with just them in the centre of their focus when the cars started honking once again. Too bad that they couldn't destroy this moment for them.

"Please don't leave my side ever again…" Wuxing said lovingly as he pulled her away and caressed her cheek, wanting to look at her eyes.

"I promise…" She swore as a single tear broke out of her eye and fell down right before their lips sealed their love once again.
