Even though Dongmei knew a lot, she didn't expose anything, first testing Katherine to learn what she knew.

"It's not much but…" Katherine started as the limousine set off. "…I know that Dongmei's grandparents are really powerful. Dongmei can confirm it."

"Indeed, they are the true leaders of the family," Dongmei nodded, listening as Katherine didn't seem to finish.

"I heard that the Boss of Seven Stars is actually close friends with your grandpa," Katherine said, looking at Dongmei. "Some even said they are sworn brothers. Because of that any general won't even dare talk back to you. Just based on the fact that you have a real connection with the Boss."

"Is he that scary?" Scarlet asked curiously, having shivers from listening.

"He is a mysterious man and no one has ever seen him which can make him sound scary but I met him once. Although he was surrounded by the darkness and even Sandra couldn't see him, something blocking her, his voice was soothing and he was nice to me." Katherine described. "Let's not talk about him. For some reason he knows everything. If someone talks about him, he will know."

"Okay…" Scarlet nodded and closed her mouth, trying not to think about him. The whole concept of spirits and abilities was overwhelming her but she didn't have a choice anymore. She already went in too deeply to go back so she could only move forward.

"Why weren't you scared of me then? The first time we met at the airport?" Dongmei asked out of curiosity, not finding any such emotions from her.

"Me?" Katherine pointed at herself and smiled. "I know Chameleon wouldn't let you do anything like that cause I know his secret. Also, based on your actions, you are not a person who would go cry to your grandpa and use his influence but rather settle the problems yourself."

"You are right, I wouldn't do that," Dongmei confirmed and laid her head on Wuxing's shoulder. "Let's eat and rest well today. I guess we are departing tomorrow."

"Mhmm," Wuxing nodded and embraced her. As Dongmei changed the subject, they didn't continue the previous talk, chatting casually instead.

They spend the rest of the day resting, shopping and packing, throwing the unnecessary stuff away. They knew well how hard it will be starting from tomorrow and with the three experience, they knew what was needed.

The next day, they drove all the way to the airport and to their surprise, the General Clark was waiting for them. He was kind enough to settled their bags privately and bring them to the location of the selection.

What's more, in the plane, they were invited to the first class area where all the staff were supposed to sit. There were not that many instructors on the board as most already arrived at the scene to prepare the selection. Only General Clack was coming last with both Katherine and Anna accompanying him from the staff.

After what felt like an eternity on the plane, Scarlet began having some troubles with the outfit that Wuxing chose for her. Instead of a casual dress, she was wearing all black, wrapped up from feet up to her collar which made hear unbearably hot. To make it worse, they didn't want to tell her anything.

"Why did we have to wear those clothes? I'm dying…" She complained before taking a sip of a cold lemon juice to ease her heat. Even the AC couldn't help her so she had to cool down from the inside.

"Scarlet, we will arrive soon so just survive for a bit longer. We won't have time to change when the signal drops and we have to jump," Wuxing explained, being the sole culprit of her outfit choice. He was similarly wearing similar style camouflage clothes but he wasn't bothered by the heat.

"Jump?" Scarlet didn't understand him but Wuxing didn't bother explaining until the last minute before the signal was about to go off.

He stood up from his seat together with Dongmei and walked up to sets of backpacks laying near one of the chair. "Scarlet, come here," He called out to her and she skipped to join them. She was the only one who didn't knew what was going on.

"What are those backpacks for?" Scarlet asked curiously, seeing Dongmei picking up one for herself.

"Those are parachutes," Wuxing explained, picking one for himself as well and passed parachute straps to her as well.

Scarlet would have to be stupid if she didn't notice the correlation between both parachutes and his previous clue about jumping.

She knew the truth but still asked with hope,"Why are we wearing them…? We are not going to jump off the plane, right?"

Seeing Wuxing's hopeless smile, Scarlet threw the straps, wanting to ran towards her seat in escape but Wuxing caught her. "Scarlet, wait. Calm down. You will be fine," Wuxing tried to talk to her but she immediately replied, looking scared. "I don't want to jump…"

She didn't fear planes but the sheer concept of jumping from one was too much for her. General Clark gave them a look and minded his own business, walking towards the radio system of the plane and hit announcement button.

"Everyone, listen carefully. The first part of the selection will start now. Get up and follow the staff towards the back of the plane. You will find two backpacks that are assigned to you with the same number as your seat. One backpack contain the parachute while the other instructions, equipment and the map. Good luck," General Clack explained briefly, before putting down the ear piece.

"Waaah, why didn't you tell me earlier??" Scarlet momentarily complained, looking at Wuxing as if she was on the verge of crying.

"Listen, its not going to be that bad. I knew you would react like that so we kept it a secret," Wuxing explained himself but that didn't change anything so he proposed, "What if you jump with me? I will be holding you the whole time."

"I still don't want to jump…" She muttered, realizing she might have signed herself for something really dangerous.

Unfortunately, it was too late for regrets.

Wuxing sighed and lifted her cheek, telling her the hard truth. "Listen, we have to jump in the next five minutes. If you don't jump off with me, you will have to do it yourself. There are no exceptions. You already signed any permissions so they have the right to throw you off the plane if they want to."

"Can't I fly with sister Katherine and Anna? They are not jumping, right?" She looked at at Katherine, calling out for help with her gaze but they only shook their heads.

"It's against the rules. Don't worry, you will be fine. Chameleon will take care of you," Anna assured her, feeling helpless as well.

"So, are you jumping with me or alone?" Wuxing asked as he wore his backpack and presented her the tandem straps to join him.

"I will jump with you…" Scarlet finally decided, having no other choice. Dongmei helped her with the straps, feeling a bit guilty and hugged her all the way to the back of the plane.

After they left to join the rest of the participants, General Clack couldn't help but ask, "Is she going to be fine? She seems to be a newbie."

"It's alright. Chameleon will take care of her well. If anything happens to her, it means I will need to consider his belonging to my team a bit more," Katherine replied, not worrying much.
