A magic circle? I saw many magic circles during the battle of Volta-san and the crab monster earlier. I even managed to generate one when I used the Torrent Bullet earlier. So what is this Magic Circle that I got here?
I claimed it and the prizes appeared. Yep, prizes, since there are many items that just appeared on the table after I claimed it. I scanned the items and frowned.
These items were quite bizarre. There was a big clear jar container with something white inside. I thought it was iodized salt or monosodium glutamate but it didn't resemble it and besides, its much finer. The other one is a small red pouch. Inside it is a yellow hair. I don't know if its hair or fur but its more like a fur. The third is another jar but when I checked it, it somehow reeks like metallic smell. From my guess, this thing is liquid silver though I am not quite sure. The last thing is a manual on how to set up this thing.
"Ooh, ingredients for the summoning magic circle?" a voice echoed behind and I almost cursed and throw the nearest thing towards the source of the voice but I quickly calmed myself down since being to aggressive won't do good.
The owner of the voice was Volta-san.
"Volta-san? How the heck did you enter my house? Also, how the heck did you know that this is my house?!"
"Of course, via the door, also, nothing is impossible with a teleport spell. I just teleported outside your house and entered the door," Volta said without thinking and checks the items on the table.

"Is this the random gift that you got from Tsugimoto? Heh, lucky bastard, do you know how hard to get these kind of amount of materials to make a summoning magic circle?" Volta patted me on the back but it felt strong that I felt like I was about to puke my lungs out.
"Ack... ahem. So what are these things? I don't really have any idea what these things are for," I pick up the jar with white powder in.
"Heh, you are really in luck. Let's teach you then, Zacharias mentioned that you are the oracle's chosen one. In that case let me teach you on it, I am good at Magic Circles," Volta pick up the pouch and checks the contents.
"I don't know about this oracle thing you are saying but mind telling me what these things are? I am not quite sure to all of this magic stuff," I explained to Volta.
"Figures. You just joined last time, here let's see. We should start with this," Volta picks up the jar with white powder in the content.
"These item is called Magic Powder. This usually are made by sylphs and pixies that are usually in the forest. Pixies made them while Sylphs carry and sell them. Human magicians can buy from them from a certain amount of price. Also, you can't find a blueprint on making Magic Powder since only pixies can make them," he put down the jar and picks up the pouch with some sort of yellow fur or hair or whatever it is.
"This should be the summoning catalyst. Although this thing is necessary, its not really compulsory to have one. If you don't have a catalyst, the summoned one would be randomized while the one with the catalyst would be really helpful to ensure that you get your desired summon. So about this, it should be a fur though I don't really know if it was indeed a fur. I am not an expert on it" after explaining, he take the jar with silver lining on it.

"Ah, this one is the main thing that should always be present since the Magic Circle won't work unless you have this. This is the mercury. You think its liquefied silver right? "I will supervise you on it. First, find a floor that is unobstructed by anything and would be undisturbed to anything," Volta instructed.
"Then the basement would be the perfect place," I quickly said.
"Then let's go," Volta snap his fingers and the materials floated out in the air.
I led Volta-san towards the basement in which I practiced my first magic tool which is the Flamethrower Gloves.
"Wow, this is perfect, I guess I should think of performing summoning magic here!" Volta grinned as he settled the materials to the table nearby.
I just rolled my eyes on him and cleared the floor of any obstructions.
"Okay, first stop, would be to make the magic circle. To have all of the magic circle to work, use the magic powder to draw the Magic Circle on the floor. Don't worry, its enough, just follow the figure on the manual, don't rush it so that we won't get wrong on your first summoning ritual," Volta handed me the manual and I saw a pentagram on a circle. There are some Latin words on the side but they are easy to follow.
With a slow movement, I slowly follow the manual and after at least an hour of working, I finished the magic circle.
"Hmm, you took longer than usual but its better to take longer and succeed than rush it but get a failure. Alright, next stop would be to use the mercury. Pour it around the magic circle then pour the remaining mercury into the center of the magic circle. Don't worry about being messy. Just do it," he handed me the mercury.
I am quite nervous about it since mercury are considered poisonous but now I am holding a whole jar full of it. I even smelled it earlier.
I pour the mercury and after doing all the job, the magic circle glow a bit before it returned to its original state.
"Good, it reacts. Now put this hair to the center of the magic circle. Be careful you don't tamper the magic circle," He said and throws me the pouch.
The magic circle glows again when I put the hair into the magic circle.
"Alright, for the last part, pour a drop of your blood into it. The summoning would occur after this," Volta explained.
"Won't I be doing some complicated hand gestures or long chants to complete it?" I asked.
"That would do if you are using a trapping or capturing magic circles. For this one, it doesn't need that so don't worry about it," Volta pull out a needle out of nowhere and poke my forefinger with it causing it to bleed.
I put my finger above the magic circle and let the scarlet blood of mine to drop into the magic circle.
"Summon!"
Volta clap his hands and pound the ground next to the magic circle causing it to glow brightly.
"Step back a bit," Volta said as he also step back away from the magic circle. Electricity and strong wind appeared out of nowhere around the magic circle. It was like it was sucking the magic around the place.
"Wow, your basement is dense with mana. Looks like the summoning would be successful and you might have a chance to summon a strong familiar!" Volta exclaimed.
"Familiar?" I was confused, what familiar?
"Oh, looks like I forgot to mention it. The purpose of this magic circle is to summon familiars that would be loyal to you forever. Magicians always have one or more familiars with them. And you are lucky to gain a familiar early," Volta explained.
I was not able to respond because the summoning took a drastic turn and more like it berserked.
"Volta-san! What is going on?" I panicked.
He ruffled my hair and grinned.
"Kid, you are one lucky bastard, looks like it was not an ordinary familiar you just summoned. It was a strong familiar!"

Smoke covers the whole room and in the place where the magic circle, a silhouette appeared. Volta's eyes stared into the silhouette with sparkles.
