He ordered a breakfast and watched random YouTube videos while waiting, he just left the automatic play so the videos were starting right away after one was over and he just watched casually while throwing a smile or a small laugh sometimes especially when there was a dog, he loved dogs and wanted one but never thought about adopting one as he didn't have the money nor the time to take care of it. After an impressing skydiving video came automatically a game video, the game was an RPG and you could see the player as he put his webcam in a corner of the screen, the guy playing got hit on the head with a spoon by his girlfriend, that was supposed to be funny but Sam was focused on something else... the inventory ! Watching the guy open his inventory in the game made him remember, he had unlocked the inventory but had yet to open it !
'System open the inventory please.'
He didn't know yet if the system was an AI or something with a consciousness so he preferred talking to it politely until he was sure, he didn't want the system to turn against him suddenly because it felt insulted...

The HUD was very simplistic, it was a rectangle divided in a lot of small squares, in the bottom there was a number 1/∞, he understood it was probably the number of pages. He had an infinite stockage ability on this thing, he could store anything he wanted ! This was the most practical thing he had gotten from the system at the moment !
'System, does the infinite sign means that there is no limit to the inventory's stockage ?'

He didn't know what a good use of the inventory meant but he still nodded, not sure if the system could see him nodding tho.
Now that he had the inventory and it was actually such an overpowered ability he thought about trying it, first... wait ?

That was a weird question he asked himself but also very logical, what if the inventory was like a backpack, he would still feel the weight of it so in the end the infinite number of storage squares would be useless, happily he didn't feel any weight on any part of his body, another reason that made him think that was that the inventory was pulled straight out of the concept of video games, except that there were some RPGs where there were restrictions on the number of things you could put into your inventory, for exemple Skyrim where if you reached a certain weight on your inventory your character's speed would slow down.
Then he took out his phone, opened the the stop watch and put the phone again in the inventory when it was on 1 second, he waited what seemed to be 5 seconds and took out the phone, the stopwatch was still on 1 second and started going up again. Another thing he discovered was that the inventory was timeless, which meant that he could probably put food in there without it being expired after years left there, that could help him in case of emergency. Of course he was t sure that the inventory was really timeless, maybe the inventory hindered the technology, which meant that his phone stopped working inside but that time actually passed normally, that would need other experiences but for the moment he was almost certain that it was timeless.
Finally last experience he didn't take anything in his hand and tried putting it in a square, he wanted to see if he could go in the inventory, maybe there was another world on the other side ? In the end his hand just went through the HUD and nothing happened, he wasn't sure if it was only him or every living thing but he was sure that he couldn't go inside at least, he decided he would try it someday with an insect.
He wanted to try other things but didn't think of anything else, that's when he got a call on his phone, his breakfast was waiting for him in front of the apartment, he just put on his shoes and went out wearing a short and no top. When he passed in front of the married woman neighbor That was taking out the trash he finally realized he was forgetting something, he ran back in a hurry to put a shirt on and went to grab his breakfast. He passed in front of the woman once again and got a seductive wink, he got scared and just nodded and ran, he didn't want anything to do with a married woman, even if she was beautiful.
Today was the day he was leaving but he hadn't gotten any news about the prize of the winners during the designers / models contest, they had talked about a page in a renowned magazine with him wearing the number one designer of the contest but since then he hadn't heard anything from them. He couldn't stay longer in Paris for that reason so he decided to leave anyway and comeback for a day when he was called, he was just afraid that he would be called during this summer as he had prepared a trip to the US with Em during her summer vacations.
Finally he ate his breakfast and went back to play with the inventory, trying lot of things to understand it's limit and where he could take it to, he was just like a kid that had gotten a new toy and spent hours playing with it. After a long time playing he finally decided to go, he picked his bag fast and took the keys to the old owner, as he was made aware that Sam was leaving today he went back to sit in the cafe he had first met him in.
