I waited for Luke in the mansion. He didn't followed me back earlier, did i step on his foot too hard?
"Lady Violet, here's some tea." Hannah said as she offered me a cup of tea.
I smiled at her. "Thank you."
She smiled back at me before she patiently stood beside the sofa.
"Why don't you take a seat, Hannah?" I patted the space beside me.
"It's alright, I--
"I will tell daddy to lessen your pay." I said before taking a sip on the tea.
She at once went and sat on my side.
I giggled. I know how Hannah values money. She's nineteen years old and she already has a family of her own. She married one of my father's knight two years ago.
"How's your son?"
She smiled upon the mention of her son. "Argo is growing healthy, he has started saying 'Mama' and 'Papa'."
I grinned at what she said. "I bet he's an adorable angel~ How's the babysitter that I hired? Is she doing well?"
"Yes, auntie Lara is very helpful in taking care of Argo. I would always learn new things from her. I have to thank young miss for hiring auntie Lara for me, I am really grateful, Lady Violet." She bows at me.
"No need to thank me, I just wanted to help you in your motherhood." I chuckled. "You should bring baby Argo here sometimes, I would love to meet him."
"But he might cause trouble.." She said in a worry.
"Oh come on, no baby are troublesome. They are all little angels who deserves attention." I grinned. "Besides, he would be like a little brother for me so I can definitely help you in watching over him once you bring him!"
"Lady Violet is too kind. I am happy to serve a master like you." She smiled at me.
"Oh come on, stop being too polite to me. You're a family. All servants here are a part of the Trancy household."
"I'm sorry I'm late. I just took care of something in the way."
As I saw Luke return, I saw a small blood stain on the collar of his shirt.
I narrowed my eyes, to be honest, in this world, my eyesight are really sharp when it comes on noticing small things.
I placed my teacup on the table before I wiped my lips with a napkin. I stood up and approached him.
"Hannah, please leave us alone. I would like to talk with my brother in private."
"As you wish, young miss."
"Luke." I called his name coldly.
I took another step towards him but he took a step back. This continued until I cornered him against the wall.
I glared at him and held the collar of his shirt. I started rubbing the blood stain that was on it. "What did you eat on your way here?"
I could see how Luke hesitated on answering my question. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a human or any servant. I can't help but panic upon thinking that he'll kill someone because of his hunger.
".. A cat."
My brows furrowed deeper upon hearing his answer. "How could you?!"
I can feel anger growing inside of me.
Of all the animals, should it be a cat?! A CAT?!
I AM A CAT LOVER AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS!
"LUKE! WHY A CAT?!" I can feel my tears spilling from the corners of my eyes.
The cats that was in this place came all from the town, I brought them in here and adopted them after healing them and bringing them back to their health. Imagining Luke eating a cat made my stomach turn.

"Violet.. I'm sorry."
He touched my hand but I slapped it away. "How could you.. how could you.."
I glared at him.

I finally pulled away and wiped my tears away.
"I will never eat a cat again." He promised.
He really should promise that to me! I will definitely hate him if he eats one again!
"Listen Luke, if you are hungry, the only animals you can eat are birds, okay? Chicken will do. Don't eat cats or dogs or any cute animals, understand?"

"I'm serious! Especially cats! You are not allowed to harm them at all! They are my precious babies, understand?!"
He nodded. "Your babies are my babies."
"Good." I nodded a few times, seeing that he was being obedient. "If you're hungry, tell me, okay? There are chicken, sheep, goat and cow, I can get one for you if you're hungry. If you're at school, you can eat any birds you catch, or maybe you can buy chicken in advance that would last for a week or more, keep them in your room--
"I can't keep a chicken in my room."
"Then keep them somewhere else! You are smart enough to think of something!"
"Okay, okay, so please don't be mad anymore." He placed his hand on my cheek.
