"Miss Kiang, where are your manners?"

Kiang Leilei who earlier had considered herself entitled to read the confidential document, was mortified and startled by the sudden appearance of the Chief Investigator.

She wished to vanish right away for it seemed like there was no rescue from the embarrassment.

"I--I------" Kiang Leilei turned slowly in an attempt to voice out an excuse but unfortunately her words failed to take flight.

"What?" Chief Li uttered as his eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm leaving, Mr. Officer!" Kiang Leilei managed to say in a somewhat whiny voice as she ran away and stormed her way out of the chief's office.

Chief Li just shrugged his shoulders as he arranged the contents of the folder and locked it inside a steel cabinet. Actually, he was ready to give the spoiled brat a good scolding but she was quick enough to escape.

"Aiyo! Rich kids nowadays!" Chief Li exclaimed.

Reaching the parking lot, Kiang Leilei started to catch her breath. Then, she slowly glanced down to check her feet, in deep regret of wearing high heels as the pain kicked in when her supply of adrenaline dropped down.

"What a bummer!" Kiang Leilei gasped as she settled inside her car, exhausted. She wiped the sweat on her forehead and leaned her body on the driver's seat.

Why did the Chief Investigator need to go back so soon? She's too close to knowing the name of her knight! Now, she must spend her days wondering about the guy's name.

Wait. Why was she getting excited over that guy? She must admit. The guy's attractive and he saved her from danger. So, what?

"Kiang Leilei, please... Please! Stop! He's just another pretty face. He's nothing but a pretty face. Don't get fooled again." Kiang Leilei scolded the teenager in her and stepped on her car's gas pedal.

The loud knock on his door snapped Wang Yuvin out of his focus, alarmed, he quickly hid the copy of the contract he made.

He told everyone inside the house not to disturb him, didn't he? He rubbed his temples as he took a quick glance at the CCTV monitor. He took a second look, but this time his eyes were paying attention to the familiar figure standing in front of his door.

He stood up to open the door which revealed a Wang Reiji who got a 'you have some explaining to do' look all over her face. Wang Yuvin held the door open as he tried to ignore the look on his sister's face.

"You're early today, sis."

"Nah, just went home for lunch."

"Hmm... I see. So, what's for -----"

"What do you need a contract for?" Wang Reiji did not let him finish talking as she impatiently threw a question at him.

The instant his sister asked him the question, Wang Yuvin understood why his sister had that kind of look on her face.

"I decided to rent, hmm rather purchase some shares of a high-end bar and restaurant." He calmly explained as he stared straight to his sister's eyes.

Wang Reiji raised her right eyebrow. Something's not right. When did Wang Yuvin get interested in business? What surprised her most was his idea of buying shares!

"Are you sick?" Wang Reiji asked as she moved closer to her brother to feel his forehead.

Wang Yuvin gave out a soft chuckle.

"I'm perfectly well, sis."

"Why don't you take over our hotel chain instead? Let me retire early so that I can look after Europa."

"No way. Not yet sis. I'm not yet ready to run a multicorp. And besides, i haven't got my undergrad degree yet."

"Then why do you want to invest in a different company?"

"I just want to establish connections, sis."

Wang Reiji's mouth gaped open, perplexed with her brother's answer.

"We need connections, sis. We need them for this."

The perplexed expression on Wang Reiji's face was suddenly replaced by panic as soon as she saw a familiar looking document. The document looked exactly like the one she stole from Zhang Chenric's pad.

The document about Pínqiông Village Fire five years ago.
