The liveliness of the room abruptly died down the moment Wang Reiji had finished spilling her secret as the three of them silently exchanged glances with each other.
"Thank you for trusting us, boss. Don't worry, we will do everything we can to protect your identity. Right, Gianna?" Hanzo was the first one to speak, breaking the lingering silence inside the room.
"Of course! Don't worry, big sis. I will definitely do my best to not mess up with this special task you gave me." Gianna smiled widely, giving Wang Reiji reassurance.
"Thank you, guys and sorry for dragging you into this mess. I am just being cautious since Huang Xur personally handed me my warrant of arrest the day I was sent to jail." Wang Reiji said as she balled her hands into fists.
"If that is the case, then we really need to monitor her every move. Gianna must do her best to climb up the ranks of HPA, become one of the elite bodyguards and gain Huang Xur's trust." Hanzo said as he folded his arms across his chest.
"Hmmm, you are right about watching Huang Xur's every move, Hanz. But instead of gaining her trust, Gianna must gain her uncle's trust. I really want to know the extent of the man's power and influence."
Hanzo and Gianna nodded their heads in agreement.
"But how can a newbie bodyguard get CEO Huang's attention?" Gianna was holding her chin up as she started to think of a plan.
"How about you seduce CEO Huang?! According to the information I gathered, he is still single at the age of 52!" Hanzo eyes were sparkling as he voiced out his idea.
Annoyed with what she heard, Gianna glared at Hanzo and balled her hand into a fist and raised it up.
"One more stupid idea and I'll definitely make sure to punch you straight in the face," Gianna said, giving Hanzo a warning.
"Hmp! You are so violent. I was just giving my suggestion, since that's what I usually see in the movies!"
"Actually, Hanzo's idea wasn't bad." Wang Reiji voiced out her opinion causing Hanzo to smirk at Gianna who seemed dumbfounded.
"But, that's a cheap move and we are not cheap people." Wang Reiji added.
With Wang Reiji's words, Hanzo and Gianna switched expressions. Gianna was now the one smirking at an embarrassed and baffled Hanzo.
"Anyway, let's not worry about that. We need to think of a way on how Gianna can get inside the HPA. It seems like they are not currently looking for bodyguards." Wang Reiji spoke as she swirled the content of the beer bottle.
"How about I apply as an assistant first? Then maybe we could stage something where I can show my skills to CEO Huang and his niece to make them notice me?" Gianna suggested before she took a sip of her beer.
"Hmm... Sounds good to me. But putting up an act to make them notice you is a challenging feat. What do you think, Hanz?" Wang Reiji seemed approved of the plan yet doubting if they can pull up such a trick.
"Leave the preparations to me, boss. Once Gianna got hired as a secretary, everything will be just like a walk in the park." Hanzo sounded very confident with his words.
"It's settled then. Gianna will apply as an assistant or an office staff first. Once she's in, Hanz will make the necessary preparations for the next stage of our plans." Wang Reiji said before finishing her liquor.
"You will receive your funds tomorrow morning then you can start with your tasks. That will be all for now. Let's just meet again after two weeks." Wang Reiji added as she stood up and picked up her things, preparing to leave.
"I understood, big sis. See you in two weeks. And as for you Hanzo, go get another unit, I won't let you spend a night here ever again!"
"How can you be so beautiful outside and ugly in the inside? Have you no heart? At least let me stay here for a night!" With pleading eyes, Hanzo tried to sway Gianna's decision.
"No! You snore like a lion when you sleep! I must have a good rest for my application tomorrow."
"The two of you look really cute when you are quarreling. If ever you both decided to marry each other, I'll let you guys have your wedding reception in Oriental Europa's banquet hall for free." Wang Reiji started teasing them again.
"I think I'd rather seduce an old man than marry an idiot!" Gianna said as she stared daggers at Hanzo.
