Angelique was in the airport whilst she waits for someone. Since she wore a mark around her face and a sunglass it was hard for people to recognize her.
"Ga!"
Angelique turned around to where the voice came from, from a distance a woman wearing a thick layer coat came running with a bouquet towards her.
"Ma, I've missed you."
"Ga, congratulation and a happy new year."
"Thank Ma." She replied
The two embrace each other tightly as tears fell down their face.
"Don't I get a hug?" a man said
"Carlos, Happy New Year." Angelique said as she embraces the man, "Thank you for loving my mother."
"I am the one who should be thankful to have her as my wife," he said in Germanglish
Angelique can partly understand German since she grew up in Germany during her secondary years. She would spend her summer or winter holidays in Germany with her foster brothers before.
As they headed home, along the way Angelique could not help it and reminisce the memories she had back then. The time she would spend time with her brothers and grandparents. Those times were happy moments, it was the time were laughter were shared and beautiful memories were created.
"Ga you okay?" Rose asked
"I'm fine," She said as she wiped off the tears.
"Ga, How things between you and the boys?" she asked
"Were good. Jordon went home to his parent's place, Jamie busy in the hospital despite it's the holiday. Everyone else went home or with their partners for the holiday." she explained
Rose notice she forgot to mention someone, "How about the guy with long hair, who looks scary but quite handsome. What was his name again..."
"Scott..." Angelique was surprised when her mother was thinking of Scott, "Why are you asking about him?"
"Well Ga, he was so sweet during the time you were in the coma. I didn't hear what he was saying exactly since I was outside. But I notice him confessing something to you. He was even crying when he saw you looking so pale and so lifeless..." Rose continued to explain to Angelique what happened at that time. However, for Angelique, it was something shocking. During those time she thought it was a dream yet it Scott really did visit her.
"Ma, did he say something to you?" she interrupted her.
"Well, I didn't know what happened. When I saw him inside with you I left afterward to live you both alone. When I came back he was gone, and you were awake already..." she answered
Angelique mind was so confused, she thought everything was a dream. During those time her heart was aching so badly for Scott and she wonders why she felt so bad and was missing him. She has thought he had hated her and despise her that's why he left the country. In the end, he flew all the way to see her.
"Ma, did you me a carousel by chance?" she asked
"No, did you asked your brother if he sent it to you?" she replied
Until now Angelique has not solved the mystery of the carousel, she wonders who could it possible came from. The fact the melody of the carousel felt so familiar she recalled it was a music her family used to play when they were kids.
When they arrived home. Angelique went to the guest room after she greeting her mother's mother-in-law. She got her phone out and ponder if whether she should contact the person that sent the carousel to her.
Half an hour has passed by and Angelique was seated on the floor by her bed. She was still deep in thought on what to do. She sighed heavily as she opened her phone and sent a message to that person.
After Angelique sent the message she jump into her bed and screamed. She felt regretful that of what she did, she wish to undo it but it was already too late. She got up from her bed as she fixed herself up, "Whatever..."
She then headed downstairs to help her mother with the food. Rose wondered why she was showing such an annoyed expression on her face. She wonders if it has to do with the fact she told him what happened during the time she was in a coma. Could it be possible something happened between them?

A man heard his phone ring notifying him of an incoming message. He opened the message and was surprised to see how it came from.
[Angelique: Happy New Year. I don't know where you are or what you're doing? I just want to say thank you.]
The man sighed seeing the message whilst he was walking down the winter street. He thought to himself, "Silly girl..."
