The next day, Annie picked Angelique early in the morning. Annie was all quiet and observant noticing something off with Angelique aura.
"Ange, did you have a good dinner last night?" she wondered
"I did..." She smiled
"Was Scott there?"
Angelique could not reply from the sudden question, Annie palmed her face realizing the answer to all her curiosity. "It was just the two of you then."
"Of course n-" However, Angelique could not finish what she was about to say noticing Annie has already caught her, "Yeah, just us two."
"Tell me what happened?"
As Angelique explained everything, Annie expression drastically changed.
"You what?" she yelled
"I don't know... I really don't know what happened, but I just ended up telling him I'll be his partner." she cried
"Ange, hold up. You what? Isn't he and Joe dating..." Annie explained
"I know, I-"
"Ange, call him now and tell him you can't go," Annie suggested
"Your right, I haven't checked my schedule, of course, that's a good excuse," Angelique said, but before she could call Scott her phone rung. Unexpectedly it was Scott whose calling. "Scott."
"I've booked the plane already, you can bring Annie along so you have someone to help you. I'll have my secretary to send you the ticket later. I'll meet both of you at the airport then..." As Scott continued to explain everything, Angelique was just all ears and became mute. "Okay, have to go."
As Annie realize Angelique expression, "He booked everything, he asked me to come along and you weren't able to say a single word."
Angelique just nodded her head.
Annie sighed seeing Angelique so defeated, "So what time is the flight?"
Angelique brightened up seeing Annie supporting her, "I don't know, his secretary will call us and bring the ticket to us."
"Come, we need to hurry you have a photo shoot," Annie replied

"Alright, everyone that's a wrap." The photographer said, "Ange, well done. You were amazing..."
"Thanks..." Angelique said as she went to where Annie was standing.
"Are you alright?" Annie asked
"Yeah, by the way, I need to check the shop on the way home. You want to join me?" Angelique asked
"Sure..."
On the way to the shop, Angelique was busy calling someone however no one was answering.
"Is something wrong?" Annie asked nothing Angelique confuse expression.
"I've been trying to call Jordon but his not answer, the shop must be busy then," she replied
"We're heading there anyway, he might have left his phone somewhere," Annie added
"I'm sure he might have done that..." she laughed
When they got to the shop, Angelique eye could not believe what she was seeing. The shop was not busy at all at the same time Jordon was not around but Corey. She quickly runs towards Corey with unease feelings.
"Corey, what are you doing here? Where's Jordon?" she asked
"Ange, didn't Jordon call you?" he replied
"No, I been trying to call him but he's not answering. Did something happened to him." Angelique was all flustered and confused, she started panicking thinking back yesterday.
"Ange, calm down. He just decided to go home and visit his parents." Corey eased Angelique who was looking pale.
"What?" Angelique looked surprised.
"He told me his planning to go home and visit his parent then head to his grandparents up north," Corey explained
"He did? Why didn't he call me..." Angelique started crying
"He must have been too busy since before he left he was busy preparing everything making sure thing went smoothly in the shop." Corey continues to explain
After realizing everything, Angelique calms down. She realized Jordon been so busy since she opened the shop. Not only did he work for her but also for his parent. "I see... Can you please pack a cake for Annie to take home."
Angelique then went to the back away from everyone else, she collapses on the ground as she grabs her phone out.
[Jordon, have a great vacation. I miss you.]
Inside the hospital room, Jordon grabs his phone and opened the message, he smiled seeing the message he received. But was unable to hold the phone for long as he started coughing.
"Are you alright?" a woman asked
"I'm fine mom," he replied
"Have you told her?" she asked
"She does not need to know." he coldly replied averting his gaze from his mother.
The woman then walked out of the room unable to see the pain his son was going through.
