When Angelique returned from her trip with Scott, she collapsed on her bed as tears rolled down her face. She did not know why she was crying at the same time why her heart continued to beat so badly and ache.
"Scott, what spell did you curse upon me that my heart is aching so much? What poison have you given me that my eyes would not stop crying?" she cried, "How long do you plan to torture me? Why did you have to return when our lives were moving forward. Why must our paths cross again…"
Then suddenly someone came knocking at Angelique's door, she quickly wipes her tears wondering who could it be this late hour.
"Jordon," she yelled surprise to see the person standing in front of her.
"For some reason, I don't know why I ended up here," he smiled seeing the lovely girl in front of him.
But what happened next surprise Jordon, the girl just suddenly embrace him as she started crying.
"Ange, what happened?" he asked
"Jordon, it hurts so much…" she replied
"What's wrong?" he asked again
"Jordon, I don't know what to do anymore…" she answered
"Ange, tell me?" he repeated his question again still not knowing what is going on.
"Why Jordon, why must our paths crossed again…" she cried
Jordon did not need to know who the person she was referring to. He sighed deeply as he embraces the girl tightly. As the girl collapse deeper into his chest, as she tugged his shirt tightly. His heartache as he watched the girl in sorrow and so wounded.
"Let's go inside before anyone sees us," he said
The girl just nodded her head as she did not let go of the man, he then guided her back inside as he shut the door for them. As two disappeared inside, a man witnesses everything as he clenched his fist and punched the wall.
"Why must it be you again," he said as he vanished
Inside Angelique's room
The girl continued to pour her heart out as Jordon comforted her. Not a word was spoken but Angelique felt her pain fading away as Jordon continued to comfort her.
"Jordon, I want to go home…" she said
"Then I can prepare everything for you." He replied
"Let's go home Jordon," she said
That evening as Angelique drifted asleep in the man's arms. He carried her to her bed as he covered her with the blanket. He then steps out of the girl's room and headed somewhere else.
He knocked at the door even though it was late. When the person on the other end opens the door, he said, "I know you'll still be awake."
"What can I do for you," the man said holding a bottle of whiskey
"Scott, I'm taking Angelique home tomorrow." He said
"Go ahead, take her… She has finished her mission." He replied
"Scott, for the last time stay away from her." He said
"Why should I? Who are you to her…" Scott said as he threw the bottle across the hall.
"The only one who truly understands her all these years while you continued to confuse and hurt her." He said
"You don't have the right to say that to me, you big liar." He said
"Scott just a word of advice to stay away from her," he said as he walked away from him.
"When will you tell her about your results," Scott yelled causing Jordon to freeze as he clenched his fist. "What... are you planning to keep that a secret from her, or you don't have the guts to tell her."
"Scott you better not get her involved in this," he said with such a furious look.
"I'm not interested in your life anyway, but I'm interested to find out how she'll handle it if she finds out you have been lying to her." He said
Jordon did not say a word and just walked away. Scott watched the man back as his clenched his fist. He was so furious seeing how Jordon did not react at all.
Back in Angelique's room
Jordon watched as the girl slept calmly that night. He faces turned sad as he recalled what Scott mentioned earlier, "I'm sorry Ange, I just can't add up to your pain."
