Later that evening, the woman's husband has finally arrived too to bring all her stuff. Since she was unable to pack her thing when she heard Angelique was in an accident, she took the first flight available and went to England without thinking at all.
Jordon, drove the husband back to Angelique flat bring all the woman stuff there so that the man could also rest before he heads back to Germany.
Jamie visited Angelique's room time to time when he was done with his work.
As the night deepens, Jamie went to check on Angelique status and he saw the woman was busy talking to someone on the phone. So he quietly went inside to check Angelique's condition on the monitors.
"Is everything alright?"
Jamie jump as he heard the voice from behind, he swiftly turned around and saw the woman standing behind him has ended her call already. "Uhmm, yes... she doing fine."
"That good then..." She said as she smiled in relief. Before Jamie could even try to escape the woman grabs his arm. "Do you have a moment to talk with me?"
Jamie just nodded his head since he did not have a choice anyway, despite he was not busy he was a bit intimidated by the woman presence as if she could see through him.
The two of them seated on the sofa while Jamie brought some tea over.
"Don't be afraid, I'm not going to bite you." The woman said sarcastically. "I just want to know if you and your friends are fine now. I notice earlier there was some tense aura between some of you. Especially between you and Jordon. Did something happened before I arrived?"
Jamie's guts were right, the woman really can see through him.
His mind was going blank in how he'll explain everything to her, even though he feels like she already knew the answer to her questions.
"You see... We made a promise to each other to help Angelique when the time comes she'll be in trouble and you see... well...today..." Jamie was hesitant to explain everything to her, as he holds his cup of tea and stared at it.
The woman voice continued for him. "You were unable to keep your promise as a friend and as a doctor."
Jamie was shocked but was not surprised that the woman saw everything, he did not know if whether he should laugh or be ashamed that the woman can easily see through his mistakes.
"I have been there before so it fine, I completely understand what you're going through."
"You see back then, we made a promise especially me and Jordon, that we will protect Angelique no matter what, even if we have a girlfriend or wife in the future. Will make sure to find the perfect guy for Angelique that can support her."
"Aren't the two of you the perfect guy for my daughter..."
Jamie's face blushed as he was dumbfounded of the situation. He did not expect the sudden attack of the question, he was totally left speechless.
"From my point of view, either the two of you are perfect for her. The fact you've known her for more than 10 years now. You've taken good care of her and I'm sure deep down you somehow like her too."
"Yes, I know you have rejected her since you are gay but let me be frank. Are you really gay or was that just an excuse back then. Since the way you looked at my daughter does not show you are gay at all."
"Honestly, I'm not forcing you to come clean but I've lived for too long to witness what is true and what is fake and the way you look at my daughter cannot be fake nor cannot be hidden. But it's up to you, all I know is my daughter only love you and that other guy who cheated on her."
"You mean Scott?" Jamie was totally surprised, did Angelique really loved Scott back then?
"Oh no, she like that guy she dated in the Philippines who cheated on her. Well, he only likes him because the guy gave in a lot of effort when it comes to dating Angelique but he was not that great. Since when Angelique was at her lowest and weakest moment, the guy true color appeared as he cheated on my daughter."
Jamie sighed in relief after hearing what the woman said, for a second there he thought it was Scott.
"Anyways, whose Scott?"
Jamie was puzzled in how he should explain who is Scott in Angelique's life. He thought for a while before answering he also then wonder has Angelique never mentioned Scott to her mother. "The two of them dated back then in high school too, but they have a complicated relationship but they lasted for a very long time. He cares a lot for Angelique until now and even helps with Angelique's business."
