When Hayley entered her apartment she was exhausted, it took her a while to made Aaron understand that she was fine and safe beside him. He had a nightmare while he was sleeping. Many things had changed in last few months and Hayley experienced such things that she didn't ever thought she would ever experience. Love, friendship and family care she didn't know that she was able to experience all this in this lifetime.
It was another working day for Aaron, he was hoping from one consultation to another. When he got some free time he thought he should call Hayley and ask if they could have lunch together but at that time his secretary knocked on the door and told him that there was a lady wants to meet him. Aaron asked her what were that lady's name and when she told him her name he got little shocked. The lady who was waiting for him was Rachel. He had not seen her since the day they meet at nursing home. Why was she here? thought Aaron, but to find answer of his question he needs to meet her.
It was lunch time for employees of Scott Empire and Hayley was feeling rather hungry when she got call from Keith. His and Ginny six month anniversary was approaching and he wants to celebrate it so he wants Hayley to go shopping with Ginny and buy her dress for the cruise party he was planning to throw. Keith told her that Ginny got break from her work in hospital if Hayley could go and pick her up from hospital so they both could go for shopping. When Hayley heard that she had to go hospital first thought that came into her mind was maybe she will be able to meet Aaron and with that thought she said yes to Keith and left office to reach hospital so that she could meet Aaron even if just for a moment.
When Rachel entered Aaron's cabin he was looking as refined and serious as a doctor should look. Now days whenever she was able to see him she always found herself spacing out. She remembers how he use to look at her with so much warmth and love in his eyes but now there was sense of familiarity in his eyes but that love and warmth had disappeared and this realization made her sad every time. When he saw her he smiled like always but his eyes were vacant, emotionless would be more appropriate word to describe his eyes. He leads her to sofa and signaled her to sit. When they both took their seat, Aaron asked "what brings you here?" YOU Rachel wanted to say but she just smiled and said "I have been experiencing some headaches recently, so that's why I thought I could just visit a doctor for better understanding." After hearing her that Aaron just nodded.
When Rachel came here today she had already decided what she had to talk to Aaron about and she had already rehearsed her lines in her head about millions of times but when it came to actually saying it she didn't know where to start from. Aaron could see there was something going on in Rachel's mind and he wanted this meeting to end as soon as possible so he asked her "what happened?" As if she was waiting for him to say that the moment these words left Aaron's mouth all hell brake loose. Rachel started to cry, it looked like some water dam had been broke and the flow of her tears were uncontrollable. Aaron was caught in middle of it and he didn't know how to console her if it had been seven years back he would have gathered her in his arms by now but now this right had been reserved by Haley and top of that he didn't want to hug her. He remembered he usually console Ginny by patting her shoulder so he thought that it would be nice to just pat Rachel's shoulder to make her realize that he was there and with that thought he got up from his seat and sat beside Rachel and before he could raise his hand, Rachel suddenly turns around and hugged him and at that exact moment door of his cabin was pushed open and he saw Hayley standing on the door.
