The location where the treasure of the Orc Bandit was hidden – Ruhr- was really mysterious. It was located deep in the Ash Forest, next to the empty land that gave birth to the skeletons.

In the Ash Forest, there were many special places which could easily attract the negative energy. There was even a blade of grass there which was just an absolutely empty level ground. Under the level ground, the negative energy’s flow would move all kinds of remains here to form into a huge pile of skeletons. When night came, they would immediately turn into a group of skeletons, silently absorbing negative energy on the empty land, and constantly growing up.

This particular place was called the “Skeleton Heap”. At the beginning when Sui Xiong set his feet on the land, he used to research this “Skeleton Heap” place.

Ruhr stored the treasure in a medium-scale area next to the “Skeleton Heap” place. No matter how hard people tried to find on the ground, they wouldn’t find any specific place. They must use the navigation spell to get the coordinates of this place.

The navigation spell was a very specific black art type as it combined astrology and physiognomy to divide the vast earth into a huge coordinate system. Every coordinate represented a place. It was said that some people had researched to integrate “Height” calculation into the navigation spell, but it hadn’t succeeded until now.

Although this kind of black art still had some flaws and was also quite complicated to use, it was quite well-received. The first thing was that it would be a great help for a wild adventurer cause it could rapidly give an estimate about location. This would be extremely useful when it came to treasure hunt, simply impeccable.

Before the navigation spell was invented, the treasure owner would design a distinct place to store their treasure that didn’t draw too much of people’s attention. This required a lot of technical works. Many people who had the treasure map from their ancestors, had to go through countless hardships to get the treasure. Not to mention on their way of getting the treasure, they might find their clue being dug up by other adventurers or come across some traps set up by some cunning fellows in the treasure place.

However, ever since the navigation spell was invented, treasure hunts had become much simpler. People roughly hid treasure in a significant place. Although a group of people roamed around for ten to fifteen days, they couldn’t find anything special. Only when they got the exact coordinates of the location of the treasure, were they able to find the treasure.

In the comparison about the battle of wits between the first generation and the latest generation of treasure owners, nowadays, the treasure owners just needed to conceal the treasure in the most secretive place and passed it on the coordinates to their children. Then everything would be fine.

The treasure-hiding place of the Bloody Hand Ruhr was also like that. Its location was not any special. Even though Gerrard and others had gotten the exact coordinates, they were still somewhat gloomy when arriving in this place.

“This place is not special at all. Even if it does have the treasure, how can it hide the treasure?” Palin carefully examined around but still couldn’t find a trace of the treasure. He couldn’t help but be skeptical, “Could it be that the coordinates that brat has left behind are wrong?”

The coordinates could never be wrong since Ruhr’s spirit was like a book in Sui Xiong’s hand. Regarding the information about the treasure place, Sui Xiong had told Gerrard everything a long time ago. He even knew clearly what on earth the treasure was. Then how can the coordinates be wrong?

“This is the place. We need to dig a straight line about ten feet long. Then we can see a black art mechanism. To open the mechanism, it requires an evidence of Ruhr’s bloodline. Until that time, I might need to trouble Rennes.” Gerrard disclosed some selective information, “In short, we need to start first.”

Everyone obviously didn’t have any opinion regarding this. The three of them respectively started to bustle.

Gerrard’s tremendous strength was the main force for digging. With Rennes’s abundant experience, he could be a great help in a fight. About Palin, he could just take charge of arranging the terrain so that everyone could have the best rest.

Actually, according to Gerrard’s opinion, he would be fine in coming here alone. He felt that if his strength was not enough, he could ask Highness Oscar for help, and he would probably not need to look for other supports. However, Sui Xiong didn’t think the same. He felt that Gerrard right now was slowly isolating himself from society. If he didn’t put efforts in developing some interpersonal relationship, sooner or later, he would turn into a “surviving and independent” secluded master. Like the Giant Dragon, its appearance was too overwhelming for a living creature; therefore, it was alone in the barren land, not to mention a friend, not even a ghost dared to come near it.

Human was also a society of creatures in the end. If so, such creatures were not any different from the beasts!

Therefore, he made Gerrard bring along Palin who wanted to broaden his view. He used this kind of “I am very busy” excuse to make Gerrard look for support to help him break the black art mechanism. In the end, he just hoped that Gerrard could interact with more people and make more friends.

In fact, these times, he was considering about adjusting Gerrard’s appearance once again. The image of this bald older brother (although he was not bald anymore) was simply too ruthless to have a friend. Even he didn’t consider about the friend problem, with such his giant size, it would be hard for him to find a partner as well!

On Earth, there was a funny joke which said that regardless of age, appearance, income, personality even sex, etc... nothing could stop love, only the physique couldn’t be counted. Gerrard’s aesthetic seemed to own some human traits. He wouldn’t like the Orc or mountain ridge giant looking creatures. To find a partner for Gerrard, he had to reduce his body size once again or give him an ability to freely adjust his body’s size.

Hence, after getting a deep sleep, Sui Xiong wholeheartedly tried to study this matter. At this moment, if someone flew across the giant jellyfish body in the air, they could see a block of muscles changing constantly.

This was him doing the experiment and researching the free transformation scheme.

Sui Xiong himself knew how to transform, but his transformation speed was not fast either. Moreover, this kind of transformation was pretty dangerous. Unless he was not afraid of death, other people wouldn’t dare to use this. Since he had accessed this world’s magic system, there must be a better and faster way to transform.

There was absolutely a method and he just needed to look for it.

These days, while Gerrard and the others were on their way here, Sui Xiong was putting his entire mind into researching this method.

But at present, this was not likely to have a quick result. He could just restrain his temper, slowly explore, and consider.

When it had gotten late, Gerrard finally dug out that black art mechanism. This was an at least five feet square metal plate which was engraved with complicated patterns that made people dazzled. In the middle of the pattern, there was a notch in a shape of water drop. The entire design could be seen through countless veins linking together.

The exact method to open this mechanism was to put a drop of Ruhr blood into the water-drop shaped notch. After that, that drop of blood would flow along the vein into the magic array and activate the bloodline identification array. Through the bloodline identification, they could unlock the remaining array, finally open the mechanism, and find the road to the treasure place. If they could get through the bloodline identification system, the magic array would become gloomy since it would need to absorb the negative energy for one night to recover to its normal state for the next identification.

However, Gerrard couldn’t get Ruhr’s bloodline. According to the information Sui Xiong could get from Ruhr’s memory, this Orc had died a long time ago, and his corpse had gone dry. The blood in his corpse had also lost its vitality which couldn’t get through the identification----any identification array only accepted fresh blood, not blood from a dead body.

Therefore, the work after digging was left for this high-level thief Rennes.

“It seems very complicated, not a normal-level one.” Rennes didn’t hastily make a move; he carefully observed for a while and then released a sigh, “the one who made this black art mechanism is a professional who doesn’t only have exquisite skills but also an advanced black art level!”

“Generally speaking, such a black art mechanism like this demands a collaboration of a hand to eat (a thief) and a head to eat (a shaman). At the first look, I could know that this mechanism is rare. To be honest, although this black art level is not considered high, maybe we, normal people who eat rice, don’t know about the black art, would be astonished to see such kind of level mechanism!”

“Then how about you?” Gerrard asked.

“If it were twenty years ago, then it would have been no problem. But right now, I am afraid I can’t.” Rennes shook his head, laughed painfully and then said, “At that time when I had learned magic, we basically used a series of magic which after many years of being untouched, it has been rotted.”

“Magic can also be rotted?”

“Of course , there is nothing that wouldn’t be rotted in this world. Why a powerful adventurer, who could hold a sword to kill other people, who could pick up a wand to cast that year, could later become a normal soldier or a shaman? The main point is that the more advanced the level is, the more effort you need to put in. Otherwise, it will be rotted.” Rennes said, “However don’t worry, although I cannot make this mechanism, I can still break it. After all... breaking is much easier than making.”

After this old thief had finished his words, he also lowered his head, and attentively focused on breaking the mechanism. His action was fast and then slow making people unable to see what on earth he was doing. In a moment, Gerrard was not able to see the smallest clue. He couldn’t help but shake his head and go back to Palin’s difficulty.

The time required to break that mechanism was longer than they had expected. They still hadn’t finished it until the day got dark. Therefore, they decided to rest beside the treasure and wait for the next day to continue.

At night, Palin arranged a magic array over the camp to hide from the consciousness of the skeletons. Although the distance between them and the great skeleton army was just a few inches away, nothing had happened, and everyone all had a good sleep.

On the second day, the sun shone warmly. After a deep sleep, Rennes’s mood was also better. After having breakfast, they started to get busy again. Good news finally arrived at noon.

“Completed!” He shouted out from the big hole, “Come here, this is a small-sized transmission array.”

Three people gathered in one place inside the tunnel under his command. After he had activated the broken black art mechanism, a faint green light shot out, and shone down on their bodies.

Along with a slight dizzy feeling, the darkness before their eyes unexpectedly lit up as they were led from the deep hole into a cave.

The cave was strangely dark, but the golden-bright and dazzling colors from the gems could somewhat be seen from afar. The amount was far more many than they had guessed beforehand.

This was the treasure of the Orc thief - “Bloody Hand” Ruhr, the accumulated fortune that he had gotten from ravaging the Northwest’s four towns in many years.
