Sui Xiong had originally intended to eat the messenger of the God of Hunting and Massacre alive. But as a result, he moved Lei to tears, to the point that Lei had kneeled down and bowed to him. A line that went "Loyalty increases to one hundred" almost popped up on the top of Lei’s head. This of course surprised Sui Xiong, but also made him very happy.
Everything in this world was indeed unpredictable...
For example, he had been well prepared to fight with the messenger of the God of Hunting and Massacre. But long until they escorted the caravan to the next city, everyone kept going straight to the Golden Tower city, but they still didn’t run into any attackers.
Has "the Ruthless Hunter" perhaps changed his personality? Does he intend to turn hostility into friendship with Sui Xiong, letting everyone live happily and get rich together?
Sui Xiong silently shook his head. A God didn’t have a significant "Personality Change". Their "Personality" was mainly decided by their clergy and domain. It was not that Gods didn’t have humanity, but their humanity had made way for their divinity. The clergies and fields of the God of Hunting and Massacre was comprised of brutality, cruelty, killing, and vengeance. Among them, killing was still one of the main clergies. This meant that he wouldn’t have anything like "turning hostility into friendship". After having a conflict with him, it would be either lowering head and giving in or defeating him, and making him retreat. There would be no third choice.
Sui Xiong wasn’t afraid to fight with the God of Hunting and Massacre either. That God himself was not too mighty, anyway. There wasn’t any solid backing behind him. Although theoretically he belonged to the Orc God System, he wasn’t an Orc. In the Orc God System, he was just a marginal character. If it was a normal fight, there wouldn’t be many possibilities that he would provoke other Gods in the Orc God System.
If it was an one-on-one fight, the God of Hunting and Massacre was just a weak God anyway. He would probably be a little bit better than the Old Gatekeeper--a God in the Night God system, who liked small, young girls to be priests. Sui Xiong wasn’t afraid of him in the slightest.

But no matter what, no one coming to make a fuss was a good thing.
"Two flames have burned!" Stelle’s face was filled with joy as she saw two spots of blue light flickering at the back of her right hand. She couldn’t help but smile brightly.
Along the way, they had helped many people who had encountered devil creatures. Lei’s martial arts without a doubt showed splendidly, while Stelle’s treatment magic had a place to show its prowess. Every time she treated an injured person, she obtained gratitude from others. As those gratitudes wereaccumulated after each time, she now had two blue flames.
"But I still lack ten more flames!" After smiling, Stelle sighed as she looked at the ten remaining empty squares on the back of her hand.
During these times, the number of injured people who were treated by her had exceeded three digits. Even the Resurrection Magic had been used twice, but she just had two flames. She couldn’t help but feel anxious.
"Highness Hollow Mask, does this blue flame have a problem?" After carefully thinking, she still couldn’t stand but raise her protest to Sui Xiong, "Last time when I saved that caravan, I had already received a blue flame by just saving several people. During these times, I have treated so many people, so why do I just get one flame?"
"Virtue Flame is not calculated based on how many people you’ve treated, but it is based on how many people you’ve helped." Sui Xiong explained, "The number of people in this caravan is very big. You and Lei have saved them from a massacre in front of their eyes. This in itself is already a big act of kindness. During that time you when treated those people, even though the amount was not big, the total amount was not less than the number of people in this caravan . Having one Virtue Flame is reasonable and fair."
As Stelle was suddenly enlightened, she nodded while sitting to the side, then fell into her thoughts.
Ever since the Virtue Flame lit up on the back of her right hand, her mood underwent a big change. Except for her habit of getting horny, she put more attention into how to accumulate more Virtue Flames.

Sui Xiong of course wanted this to succeed as well. The reason why he created these two blue and red flames for Stelle was to constrain the desire inside of her, to lead her in the right direction. Right now, how could he not be happy when he saw she had a sign of changing for good?
In comparison to Stelle, the change in Lei was more obvious.
After the day he vowed his loyalty to Sui Xiong, his entire temperament showed a big transformation. It had a more optimistic and lively feel. He was like a tree being pushed down by a stone. As he had finally got rid of the burden on the top of his head, he became more energetic.
When passing a city, he even went to the Magic Tower to find an advanced shaman to reform his armor.
When he came back, his black armor had turned into a white color. On the outside, it didn’t have any ferocious feeling, but on the contrary, it was very elegant and amiable.
It was not only this, but he also started to pay attention to his looks. Every day he would comb his hair cleanly and neatly. He would be dressed properly, not sloppily like before.
Above all, right now, each and every one of his actions revealed a bit of elegance. Even though he would fight intensely with the devil creature, it was not an exception. He made people feel that this was no longer an adventurer with a blade covered in blood, but a chivalrous vagrant knight.
The only thing lacking right now was that he hadn’t found a suitable mount. Anyway, this matter had already had a little progress. Not too long ago, he had captured a Copper-Crowned Wyvern, and was gradually taming it.
"Actually, the Copper-Crowned Wyvern is not seen as a good mount." One day, when he was playing toss and turn with that ferocious devil creature, through this method that looked like playing to tame it, he said to Sui Xiong, "Its flying speed is very fast and its body strength is very strong. Its power mainly lies in his sharp fangs----but I don’t need its fighting power, therefore it is a complete waste."
"What is the most suitable mount?" Sui Xiong asked.
"Of course, a warhorse!" Lei smiling said, "My specialty technique is in riding a horse while holding a pike. Although other mounts are still acceptable, a riding horse is still the most suitable. It can display my pike technique at its best."
"But....wanting to find a horse which is strong for me to ride and fight is not easy!"
During these times, every time they arrived in any cities, he would go find merchants to ask for the place where people sold good horses. In the end, he had met some good horses, but the majority of these horses were better in an intelligence aspect more than their speed aspect. "Sturdiness" was somewhat not enough----the one Lei needed was not a super smart or super fast horse. He just needed a horse which was sturdy enough to carry him and withstand the killing power from a master killing horse on the same level.
However, such a warhorse like that obviously could not easily be found. He had no other choice but to settle for the devil creature.
This Copper-Crowned Wyvern, which would cause chaos if it was put in a small city, was his alternative choice for now.
But the Copper-Crowned Wyvern was not really an easy creature to tame. Long until they arrived in the Golden Tower city, this devil creature was still the same, still not able to fix its fierceness. On the contrary, it didn’t repel Lei at all, but as long as it had a chance, it would go crazy and hurt others.
If Lei were still a lonesome thief, he would not hesitate to ride a beast---Before,, the Xunlong he rode was also a beast, which could give him a hand during the battle. But now, he was a chivalrous knight, who took helping others as a pleasure, so how could he ride a beast?
Maybe one day when he didn’t pay attention, this bastard would eat up a passerby...
"This won’t do. I can only ask Highness for help to make it a Tightening Headband." When they passed the gate to enter the Golden Tower city, Lei knocked the head of the Copper-Crowned Wyvern to threaten it and tell it that it wasn’t allowed to open its mouth with those guards whose meat looked very buff, and good to eat.
The Golden Tower city was one of the small normal cities in the Mystique Tower Federation. It was located in the Mid-West region of the Federation, almost adjacent to the border. It took around one week to go to the West from this place. rom the plateau to the plain, it was Thunder Dukedom---which was a country in the Mystique Tower Federation. It was widely known for its plantations and minerals.
As a small city, the scale of the Golden Tower city was even slightly a bit smaller than the Green Tree city. Before entering the city, Sui Xiong had used the spirit sensing to explore the city one time, to find out the owner of the Magic Tower in the center of the city, who hadn’t stepped in the Legendary realm yet and was merely an advanced shaman.
The security in the Golden Tower city was not so good. At first glance, it didn’t look flourishing. There were not many people on the street, but there were many adventurers coming and going among them. Except for the splendid Golden Magic Tower in the center of the city, the most eye-catching thing was probably the gibbets lined up outside the city wall.
There were many dried corpses hanging on the gibbets, swaying along with the wind.
"This city really makes me feel uncomfortable." Sui Xiong said, "I always feel that there aren’t many good people here while bad people fill up the street..."
"Every city has its own living style. You shouldn’t use your own preference to force others." Lei advised, "We are just here to recruit that Parn the Knight. After we succeed in persuading him, we will leave the city right away. The living style of people in this city has nothing to do with us."

"But shouldn’t we do something about it?" Sui Xiong noticed on the roadside, a kid was trying to steal stuff from a drunken adventurer. He could not help but furrow his brows, "The situation of this place is fishy!"
As his words finished, the adventurer had surprisingly discovered that he was being stolen from. His big hand caught the right arm of that kid, instantly twisting his arm. The unlucky thief immediately cried out miserably, along with the sound of breaking bones.
The drunken adventurer truculently walked out, leaving behind a small pickpocket with broken bones, who was lying down on the ground, shrieking, and unable to stand up.
The passers-by didn’t even spare a glance at the kid. There was not one person showing the slightest hint of sympathy.
"Although he is a thief, doing this is. . .a little too much!" Sui Xiong couldn’t stand but mutter, "Leaving after beating, even breaking other’s bones!"
"This is not necessary. Highness, you may not notice, but there are crimes posted next to the victims who are hung, written on the gibbets. Among them, there is not one person without the crime of stealing." Lei shook his head and slightly sighed, "Maybe in this city, stealing is a mortal crime."
"Losing a life over a little bit of stealing? It is somewhat tragic..."
"Who knows . . Maybe the Lord of this city has his own thinking." Lei said, "The Lord has a power to establish and issue laws based on what he pleases as long as the law doesn’t conflict with the law of the former Lord above him. According to what I know, in the Mystique Tower Federation, it seems that there is no clause like "no execution for a thief", so the "hanging the thief" rule of the Lord here is completely legal."
"The law system here is really terrible!" Sui Xiong grumbled a little bit then asked Stelle to treat that kid.
Stelle’s magic was very effective as it gently helped that pickpocketing kid recover. He was trembling with fear when speaking to an older sister, who looked really charming and elegant, and then hurried to leave.
"A kid knows to say thank you after receiving a favor is not bad." Stelle went back to Sui Xiong’s side, making a judgment, "I think he might be educated, and seems to understand culture. I just don’t know why he is so desperate to the point that he has to pickpocket..."
"Are you interested in helping him a little bit?" Lei asked.
Stelle thought for a little then shook her head, "Everybody has their own life. Even though we have to help, we only need to when it is urgent. Helping every single poor person is seriously not something an ordinary person would do."
Sui Xiong was upset when hearing these words, he swung up his tentacles to signal people to leave quickly and find someone to ask about the residence of Pahn the Knight.
He had determined that if he could find Pahn the Knight, he would immediately leave this city after persuading him, not staying a single day or night in this wretched city!
