Without a doubt, it was impossible that these gifts were given by Satan. They were prepared by Lei’s own money.
Thirty years in Jianghu still couldn’t help Satan make lots of money. He persistently followed the motto of the adventurer that went "Only money that can be used on his body is useful money". The majority of his money was used to enhance his capability and skills.
Although he was still quite a distance away from "poverty", the fact that he could even afford a part of this gift was impossible.
Of course, he had never thought of these things. To him, the most important thing between friends was mutual respect and helping each other. Gifts, money or anything like that,... although Parn the Knight was not a wealthy person, he was absolutely not poor, and didn’t need to use those things!
In his impression, the thing that bothered Parn the Knight the most was his noble identity. Therefore, when Sui Xiong wanted to find a mortal Lord for his territory, he immediately promoted Parn the Knight----hence, this might be the gift he wanted to give to his benefactor.
But his thinking and Lei’s were different. Lei’s identity was from nobility. He really paid attention to etiquette. How can he come empty-handed when visiting someone for the first time?! Thus, when passing a bustling city, he immediately prepared a gift----- a set of porcelain.
The level of technology of this world was not considered high. The price of porcelain was especially expensive. Only nobility could use this. A down and out nobleman like Parn the Knight could only use fine porcelain. Using a set of sophisticated porcelain as a gift, not to mention showing the face and status of the giver, it would give Parn the Knight a little support. If a guest was visiting the house of Parn the Knight, think of how proud he would be when he served the guest with this sophisticated porcelain!
It was just that he didn’t think Parn the Knight would pass away in any case, therefore, he added a bag of gem stones with the set of porcelain.
The family of Parn the Knight seemed quite difficult. Moreover the words from Liv, "The paying deadline is not due yet" made him vaguely figure out the cause----they are simply in need of money.
Money? Well, thanks to the luck of the devil creatures coming up to his door, his pocket during this time had been filled!
This gem bag was indeed an amount of money that he had specially prepared. About half of them were many kinds of low-grade gems like aventurine, chalcedony, and crystal with the value around fifty gold coins each. The other half were many kinds of cheap gems such as white pearl, carnelian, turquoise with the value around ten gold coins each. There were several types valued around one hundred gold coins each like amber, coral, and spinel with several pieces of each type. The more expensive types were not there. The total value would be around 1,500 gold coins.
This was of course to facilitate the exchange. After all, in this small city, an appropriate buyer for such things like jewelry, precious stones, diamonds, sovereign king tear gems with the value of several thousand gold coins couldn’t be found. When really in need of money, they would often be sold at low prices. In comparison to that, those low-grade gems were much more convenient.
Hence, Lei had prepared this bag of gems. When in need, they were easy to exchange into money very quickly.
In fact, with the big-sized space bag of his, it wasn’t inconvenient for him to bring several thousand gold coins around, but, it just wasn’t suitable for his habit.
Such a gem bag like that was kind of appropriate with etiquette. Delivering a set of porcelain all the way from a distant place had shown enough of the level of luxury. Not to mention along with another bag of gems, it was way too prosperous, not suitable to be a gift.
These two gifts, which Lei had carefully chosen, were very much welcomed by the family of Parn the Knight. Little Agnes happily took out each dazzling gem in the bag, looking at each one. She smiled to the point that her face reddened. On the other hand, the eyes of Lady Teague and Liv were completely attracted by the set of sophisticated porcelain.
"This gift is..too luxurious!" Lady Teague was flustered a little bit.
She knew really well the value of this porcelain set. In comparison to those low-valued gems in different sizes and shapes, this set of porcelain was really a treasure. Even if it was put in the guest room of the Viscounts, it wasn’t impolite as well. But placed in the house of a down-and-out and poverty-stricken knight’s family like them somehow wasted a stunning jewel.
Liv, who had been worrying about money problems all this time, was stunned. She could not help but mutter to herself, "How much is this thing worth?!"
She had stopped by the high-end handicraft and jewelry stores more than once. Therefore, she was pretty familiar with these things. Moreover, during this period of time when she was lacking money, she became more sensitive to money. For example she could easily tell the value of the gem bag.
But...she couldn’t evaluate the value of the porcelain.
They are clearly high-class goods. They are not normally luxurious, but extremely luxurious! These stores don’t have goods on this same class. Maybe, those stores that don’t open for the outsiders would have these kinds of precious goods.
So, how much is it worth?
Two thousand? Five thousand? Or more than that?
To Liv, who had been tortured by money problems for a long time, whose eyes would glow when seeing any golden light, this expensive set of porcelain was indeed too eye-glaring to the point that she felt like she was looking directly at the sun.
Long until her mother reminded her, she then discovered that tears had already fallen down on her face.
Lei and Stelle didn’t open their mouths to speak either, just smilingly stood there, waiting for them to get a hold of their emotions.
After three of them finally recovered their composure, Lady Teague received the gift, asked Liv to store the set of porcelain carefully, telling her ten million times not to break it. As for the gems, they had to store them carefully too. It was just that compared to that set of porcelain, they were somewhat overshadowed, thus she didn’t pay any attention to them.
Although they felt a little insecure, the noble etiquette took one point really seriously, which was that "you can’t decline a gift". Not to mention these gifts which were sent by shaman Satan represented his gratitude to his life savior. It was more likely not allowed to decline. If declining them, then it would mean looking down on one’s gratitude. It was a metaphor for "your life is not worth anything."
Then it was too rude!
"I am terribly sorry for letting the two of you see such a rude sight." Lady Teague didn’t hide the current difficult situation of the family, bitterly smiled then said, "Thank you so much for the gifts. If you’re not in a hurry, why don’t you two stay at our rustic residence and have dinner with us?"
This was also an essential must-have etiquette. Lei and Stelle were very familiar with these etiquettes, so they naturally wouldn’t refuse this offer.
It was just that Sui Xiong couldn’t help but furrow his brows as he smelled the fragrance coming from the kitchen.
"Stelle, help me with one thing." He sneakingly said.
Ever since Stelle joined this group until now, his mouth had been well-fed by the delicate cooking skills of this woman to where he became picky. When he smelled the strange fragrance in the kitchen, he immediately felt distressed; worried that he might have to suffer from some legendary dark dishes.
Sui Xiong also didn’t understand those noble etiquettes. To him, the vast sky and Earth were not bigger than his own stomach. Abusing himself while smiling and complimenting the food that a dog wouldn’t even spare a glance at was truly unbelievable. That was the story about when he was chasing after his girlfriend on Earth.
Unfortunately, he still failed. In addition to the cuisine problem, that girl really hated men playing games.
Abusing his taste bud and stomach was alright. But she couldn’t even put up with a small hobby of playing games. Then Lady, you should be a princess on your own. This brother Xiong can’t serve you!
When Stelle expressed her intention to go to the kitchen to give a hand, Lady Teague was frightened---this is not suitable to the etiquette. But she was aware of the reason very quickly, she bitterly smiled then nodded.
But I am sitting in the living room right now, then who is busy cooking in the kitchen?
No one knew Liv’s cooking skill better than her mother!
Therefore, she couldn’t decline Stelle’s suggestion. After all, she couldn’t let guests have dinner which was made by Liv.
Using dark food to beat up the guests who had passed through a thousand miles to visit was unacceptable!
When Stelle walked in the kitchen, Liv, whose face was entirely covered with smoke, beamed a flustered smile as she was trying to fight with the laddle, basin, firewood, rice, oil and salt, making the food look more strange.
She knew that she had to lend her hand this time.
"Wash your face and clean your hands. I’ll do it quickly. It will be fine." Stelle didn’t ridicule the young girl, but let out her smile which was like a warm spring breeze, and started to get busy.
Her cooking skill could be considered exquisite. Even her cooking moves were full of rhythm. These moves coordinated with her gorgeous body were enough to make a bunch of men seeing this sight bring out their beastial nature---she especially practiced all of these. As for the reason behind it, everyone was clear about that.

When Liv was helping alongside, she didn’t only admire Stelle but also distinctively imitated Stelle’s moves. But when the young girl was aware of the difference in the bodies between them, her extreme envy turned into a dispirited look.
As being a young girl whose one-fourth bloodline was a Moon Elf, Liv could also be considered quite beautiful. However, the Moon Elf Tribe hadn’t been usually seen as sexy long since. Most people in the tribe were like Princess Taipings (being flat). This feature didn’t show clearly on the body of Lady Teague, but Liv didn’t know whether or not she had gone back to her ancestor, her body clearly reflected the style of the Moon Elf.
Although her body was a little bit taller than Stelle’s, as for the feminine attraction... Haizz! Such a heartbreaking subject should not be mentioned here!
As she looked at Stelle’s hot body, then looked back to hers which would not be any different than a male juvenile knight if she changed her clothes and wore a helmet, she couldn’t help but feel sad and go back to the living room.
Seeing her oldest daughter coming back from the kitchen, Lady Teague furrowed her brows as she was not pleased with her impoliteness. But after seeing the depressed look of her daughter, no one understood a daughter than her own mother, she quickly figured out the reason and couldn’t stand but shake her head.
Elf Tribes didn’t pay attention to such a boring kind of problem like "body shape", but to a hybrid living in human society, this problem indeed gave others a headache.
This girl of hers seemed to inherit her father’s talent. As for sword art, riding horse, and shooting arrows, she was quite good. As for the cultural aspect, her performance was not bad. But as for the talents that women should have, she didn’t know anything about them.
. . . Maybe, after being stimulated a little bit this time, it was not a bad thing.
After reminding Liv to talk nicely with guests and watch Agnes so that she wouldn’t make a fuss, she immediately left for the kitchen.
Maybe lady Stelle will be fine on her own. But letting a guest be busy is not proper hospitality as well.
"Lady Liv, I have noticed one thing, can I boldly ask about it?" After Lady Teague went into the kitchen, Lei immediately opened his mouth to ask.
Liv of course wouldn’t bother with his "bold problem", but as soon as she heard the detailed content, her face immediately darkened.
What Lei asked was the origin of the arrow trace on the wall outside the door.
