Aesyla and Cleia reached the maids' room and when they opened the door they saw other women wearing a maid uniform. Those women were their sisters, they were sitting on chairs surrounding a roundtable, and the table was big enough to let several people to sit on its various sides. Five maids were sitting on the wooden chair. All of them were wearing their unique maid uniform.
The room was big and luxurious, despite being just a maids' room, it was like a room of a very wealthy person. There were seven beds, each had a thick cushion and pillows that look too soft with just a glance. The cloths used on everything looks pretty well-made and one would think that this certainly would not be a maids' room.
"Good everyone's here. Then let's start the meeting."
After Aesyla said that, she and Cleia sat on the available chairs.
"Wait. What about we have some tea to drink? I'll get some!"
A girl with a pair of short pointed ears, pink hair and pink eyes spoke. She looks similar to an elf and has a young appearance like a 15-year-old human girl. She wears a lightly armored maid uniform.
"Great idea, Fera. Then please do."
Fera stood up and went behind the room, there was a little kitchen there.
"So sis? Did Lord Xyn give us an important task?"
A humanoid woman asked. She has an appearance of a human, she has green hair and green eyes. She wears a maid uniform, but there were no armored parts. Her name is Cardia.
"Yes, he did."
"Is it an assassination mission?"
A human looking woman with black hair and dark violet eyes asked another question. She's wearing a lightly armored maid uniform, and the uniform looks just enough to allow the one wearing it to move freely and easily. Her name is Nisea.
"Auh, no. It's totally different from that. Why did you assume it would be an assassination mission… ah never mind. You're an assassin after all."
"Hehe."
"So what exactly is the mission?" Mira asked.
"Let's wait for Fera to come back first."
"Oh right."
"Alrightyyyy, here's the tea!"
Fera was carrying a metal rectangle plate with a kettle on it and seven cups. Smoke can be seen coming out of the kettle knowing the tea is inside and still warm.
Fera put the metal plate on the table and put the cups on each of her sister's front and then filled it with tea. Then she came back on her seat.
"Thank you, Fera."
"You're welcome!"
Fera smiled tenderly.
"Then let's get to the topic. The mission is about getting magic crystals from a mining site."
"Magic Crystals?" Ambrosia asked.
"Yes. As you know, magic crystals are essential in using Lord Xyn's power to its fullest potential. Magic Crystals are used to create various things like life and weapons, right?"
The maids responded in affirmative so Aesyla continued.
"The master ordered us to grab more crystals in order to have more to be used in the future. However, it won't be all of us to be sent on the mission."
"Not all of us? Why is that?" Nisea asked.
"That's because the master and the guardians will be attacking a certain town. With that the mansion will be unguarded if we all leave, yes there may be some minions guarding around but they won't be enough, don't you think?"
"That does make sen—."
"THE LORD IS GOING TO ATTACK A TOWN?!"
A shout interrupted Nisea.
"Ah, yes Cleia, that's what I said."
Cleia seems to be trembling a little as she lowered her head but a broad smile can be seen on the corner of her face.
"I w-want to see the master use a bit of his power. Can I watch? I want to see Lord Xyn in action!"
"No, you can't Cleia. You will be here to guard the mansion."
Cleia whimpered.
"B-but I-I want to… aaah fine. I understand."
"Good, you understand."
Every maid smiled after that.
"So who will be sent?" Cardia asked.
"It is going to be me, Ambrosia and Mira."
"Me? What a great pleasure it is to carry out the master's orders." Mira said.
Mira smiled tenderly and her eyes revealed that she is filled with excitement.
For the maids, doing and fulfilling the creator's orders is the highest honor of all. Also, receiving an order from the creator is perceived as a reward.
"A mining site huh. That means there will be humans." Ambrosia chuckled. "What a great pleasure indeed."
A wicked smile formed on Ambrosia's face. Seeing it, the maids looked at each other with a confused looked on their faces. They have never seen Ambrosia's face like that until now. This was new for the maids.
"Y-yeah. A pleasure indeed." Mira said it was a pleasure again while bitterly smiling.
After that Aesyla decided to continue.
"Tomorrow the mission will start, the same time the master and the guardians are attacking the town. So be prepared."
"Aaww how lucky you are to carry out the master's orders. How I hoped he picked me. I wonder when he will personally give me an order." Fera said.
"Yeah, but the master has made his decision. Still, guarding the mansion is a very important task." Cardia said.
"Yeah, I know."
Then someone suddenly laid her head on the table.
"I want to go with Lord Xyn on that town." Cleia said while laying her head on the table.
"You're still hung up on that?" Nisea asked while frowning.
The maids amusedly smiled at each other.
Suddenly there was a knocking on the door.
"I'll go get the door." Fera volunteered.
Fera went to the door and opened it. As she saw the one who knocked she tenderly smiled and bowed.
"Lady Xelya, it's nice for you to visit us again."
"Fera, no need to address me that way, I'm not here for business."
"Ah, I see. Then please Xelya have a seat."
Fera lead Xelya to the table and Aesyla grabbed a chair and put it beside the table then offered it to Xelya.
"Lady Xelya, please have a seat."
"A-Aesyla, please, I told you guys not to address me that way when we're not here for business."
"Ah, forgive me. I'm just not used to it yet."
"It's fine. There's no need to apologize." Xelya said with an adorable smile on her face.
Then Aesyla returned to her seat that is beside Xelya.
"Then have you finished orienting them Aesyla?"
"Yes, we just finished."
"Oh, that's great. I thought I was interrupting you."
"Xelya Xelya! Are you really going to attack a human town?"
"Y-Yes. Tomorrow we'll begin the attack. Why do you ask Cleia?"
"Ah nothing. It's just, I wanted to see Lord Xyn in action. I wonder how cool he would be."
"Well, you are needed to stay here to guard our home. But don't worry, I'll tell you exactly what he will do."
"Really? Thank you Xelya!"
Cleia's eyes were shining brightly, probably because of excitement.
"Y-yeah. It's a small thing."
"Ah Xelya, I was just wondering. Didn't the lord's forces were sent to attack the town, why do you have to attack there again?" Cardia asked.
The others also looked like they were wondering and wanted to know the answer to the question.
"Ah, well… you could say the town is still standing sturdily."
"Haaah?" The maids said in unison.
"How is that place still standing when the master personally made the minions?" Cleia asked.
"Well. The army Lord Xyn made was never meant to destroy the town. In short, the town was used as an experiment to test our forces and the monsters sent was all low-level monsters anyway."
"So it's safe to say that the master played the humans?" Ambrosia asked.
"I guess it's safe to say it like that."
"As expected of Lord Xyn! I knew he would never fail at something minor like that!"
The maids responded in agreement of Cleia's words.
"So did the humans give a good fight?" Aesyla asked.
"Actually their resistance was less than what Lord Xyn expected. He said he even lessen the level of attack just for the town won't be destroyed already."
"Really? Damn humans, they even gave Lord Xyn trouble for making him personally adjusts his minions. They deserve to be annihilated!" Cleia said.
Aesyla giggled and said.
"Calm down Cleia. You don't have to be so worked up."
"That's right. Lord Xyn seemed to be happy about the results of the battle." Xelya said.
"Really? Wew, then it is fine then."
"Then, how about we talk about something else while Xelya is here? Anyway, we just cleaned the entire house, so it's okay right?" Fera said.
"I believe it would be fine for Lord Xyn. He's a kind person after all." Xelya said.
"But let's not take too long okay?"
"Of course Aesyla." Xelya said.
"So did anything else happen to you Xelya?" Fera asked.
Xelya smiled happily.
"W-Well, actually Lord Xyn called me cute earlier."
